We stayed just one night on a road trip. The rooms are a stock standard budget hotel, nothing fancy, nice and clean. Staff were very friendly. The noise from the Main Street carried late into the night, I'd recommend bringing earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Its fine for one or two nights to have a budget option in an otherwise very expensive area. Bus took 10 mins down to the promenade and cost $1.25, note they no longer have free parking at the hotel ($10USD from memory I think).

For breakfast we had sweet stuffed bags, delicious nut/oatmeal bars, apples and coffee. In itself, the hotel is quite okay. In the room smells a little old, presumably from the carpet, balcony was not usable, is just decoration. Room very noisy, feeling as if you are sleeping with the window open.

Bath towels are worn out, thin, have stains and appear filthy. Seriously Wyndham? You can’t buy new white towels for guests?
Breakfast items are terrible. Nothing healthy. Don’t bother to offer any free breakfast if all you have is packaged pastries filled with high corn fructose syrup and oils. Coffee is awful. Learn from the Fairfield Inns by Marriott. They offer a healthy free breakfast and more variety.

I stayed at this hotel for one week during Christmas while visiting friends and it turned out to be an incredible stay!
The room was spotless, including the bathroom which is often overlooked at many other hotels.
While I wasn't able to take advantage of all of the amenities, I found the rooftop lounge to be a fantastic feature to enjoy the nice Santa Monica weather. The rooftop is equipped with many cushioned lounge chairs and coffee tables to make the experience more enjoyable for groups.
Additionally, the hotel is located within a 10 min drive to the beach and an Uber costs less than $10. It is also very close to Sawtelle which has a lot of delicious Japanese food options!
With affordability added to the mix, it easily makes this Days Inn a top choice for anyone visiting the area. Fantastic and a memorable stay!

The deluxe queen room was very spacious and a good size for our family group of 3. The balcony is nice with a view and fresh air. Clean and comfortable, only complaint was the surprising lack of ANY cutlery, plates etc. There was a supply of paper coffee cups only and on request they were able to provide a few paper breakfast bowls and plastic spoons. While there is a small microwave this hotel room is really not set up for any kind of self caterinng. Breakfast looked ok, pretty basic but good enough (instant oats, bananas, granola bars, mini muffins, coffee, juice). We didnt eat there.

From check-in, to check-out, it was a seamless experience staying at the Days Inn Santa Monica.
Staff: I was greeted by a friendly staff (Mitch) which was attentive and helpful during my stay at the hotel. The staff works around the clock to ensure every aspect of your stay is a breeze from the cleanness and comfort of your room to local recommendations if requested.
Location: It was very easy to come and go in our rental car as the hotel had plenty of onsite parking available throughout our stay.
To me one of the biggest draws of this hotel when I booked it was the location. Santa Monica Pier and 3rd Street Promenade is just a 10 minute drive (used Veo, an electric scooter/bike, to ride there and back when weather was nice) you could also be in a number of beautiful neighborhoods with various dining options (such as Sawtelle/Venice/Palisades/Malibu/Beverly Hills/West Hollywood) in only 20 minutes by car.
Within walking distance (less than a mile) there is a Erehwon, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, CVS, and a very solid selection of sports bars and high end dining just a few blocks from the hotel.
Hotel Building: While the building might look older on the outside (old school LA design), it looked to me like the interior had been recently renovated to keep up with customer needs.
My friends and I enjoyed having a drink after dinner on the sun deck where we found plenty of comfortable seating and benches to eat meals.
Additionally, while I was staying here, I was working remotely and didn’t encounter any issues with the wifi in my room. I took a number of video calls and jumped around on software I needed for work without encountering significant lag.
Overall: For the price/location/quality, you can’t go wrong. I’ll definitely be recommending to friends and family in the future.

They charged me $50 from the deposit for using my towels and they never brought me new ones. Trying to talk to the manager about this was a joke, she actually yelled at me and would not respond to my emails and phone calls. I saw on several other reviews that people have been charged ridiculous amounts for nothing and gone through the same experience as well. Not to mention the towels were really gross and uncomfortable - very cheap, as were the sheets and bed. The hallways were dirty and there was hair in my bathtub. I would stay away and book something else! Also, not a nice breakfast as they had advertised. Wyndham doesn't support this chain either which is disappointing as their name is on the building.

I rented 2 rooms for 2 nights each for 7 of us. One room had clean sheets. The other had spots on the sheets on both beds. I suspect it's the fabric softener the laundry uses. Two of our party were grossed out. I thought it wasn't that big a deal. The hotel advertises that they don't service your room unless requested, due to Covid, but as they don't use fitted bottom sheets and the sheets barely tuck in, it was quite annoying on the second night when the bottom sheet kept coming off. They list that they have a gym and a sauna, but the rooms are now labeled Storage. As this was late April 2022, the Covid excuse isn't believable when other Wyndham properties have open fitness rooms. One of my party was very upset about this and paid to use a gym somewhere else. The free parking is a plus as we had two cars and might have had a 3rd car, which would also have had free parking. I personally disliked the thin towels. The hotel is really cute with wonderful details and a cute roof deck. It's a shame that Wyndham doesn't give the staff what it needs to give good service. I read the reviews of other supposed semi budget hotels in Santa Monica. It sounds like Best Western is a much better value. Three of my party give it a one star rating, two of my party give it a three star rating with one abstention. I give it a three star rating as a hotel, but the dishonest shoddy breakfast, lack of advertised amenities, thin cheap towels make me give Wyndham a one star rating averaging out at 2 stars. Also the boarded up storefronts on Santa Monica Blvd were really depressing.

My stay was most unpleasant at this hotel. The room key card was faulty one evening, which is understandable as this happens in many hotels. However, I was met by the most ignorant worker I have ever met in any form of establishment at reception. His name was Alex. Other hotels would simply fix this however Alex began to tell me it was all my fault that the card wouldn’t work. Evidently this was not the case, as a faulty room key is the hotels fault. Over a period of two hours, he raised his voice and spoke to me in a berating manner, which left me astounded. How this man has a job in hospitality was beyond me. He then rang his manager and began to tell him it was all my fault once again and not the hotels. I would not recommend staying in this hotel to anyone and for anyone that does I would avoid Alex at all costs. You will be treated worse than you could ever imagine by that man! The continental breakfast is merely a nut nature valley bar, very inconvenient for people with nut allergies!

Hi Evan, I am very sorry to hear that you were treated poorly by Alex and that you felt he was unprofessional. Let me start off by apologizing for his unacceptable behavior, if he raised his voice or was rude. We never want a guest to feel unwelcome. My understanding was that the room was deadbolted by someone in your party already sleeping in the room and Alex was unable to enter with the master key and he gave you a complimentary room to sleep in, since your room was inaccessible. He did call the manager to get approval for the room, but he did not blame you for the key not working. We apologize again for any inconvenience that you experienced. We will speak to Alex and make sure that this type of behavior is not repeated in the future. Thank you for your feedback.

I was willing to try a Days Inn because hotels are so expensive in this part of Los Angeles, and I was prepared to move a little "downmarket" to get pretty basic accommodations. I was blown away upon arrival. Everything about the lobby and our room was pristine, fresh, freshly decorated, and comfortable. Parking is free (not a given in LA) and all in all it is one of the best hotel values we had on our two week trip across the southern US. The location is excellent, too!
