This Casino Hotel was great, I got early check in, the room was nice ( I don’t know why they have only double beds in the Queen rooms) the food was good and reasonable, everything was clean. The slots were loose, ( I won $400); housekeeping and front desk were friendly. Here’s where I had a few problems, #1 was the pool, now this pool is beautiful and spacious and it has a bar and grill. Problem was the kids, why are kids in an adult pool in a casino?? They were loud and squinting water guns at each other and when I went to the other side of the pool, they migrated over there. I came here to get away from my own kids, lol. #2, we had clearly visible pool wristbands for hotel quests, we went to the elevator for our rooms from the casino and a guard rudely asked where we were going and made us show the room key and THEN asked what floor we were on! WTH??? I paid good money to stay there and that’s how we get treated? There was an older lady walking behind us and he didn’t question her at all. Thirdly, at the pool bar my husband paid for 4 canned drinks and only got 2, when he questioned the attendant, he was told to tell the lobby when we checked out. He didn’t give us the other two drinks. In the morning, Eduardo?? Was very kind and made sure we were not charged. Sleep quality was great, parking safe. These reviews about the hotel being untrustworthy us BS. There’s a safe in your room, there’s housekeeping who knock on your door before entering. Anyway I did enjoy my stay except for those things,

Hotel could use an infusion of Life at the front desk. I stayed 3 nights and hotel staff was either bothered cray dreaming or just bored with life. No special perks , direction to restaurants or help at hotel parking with bags while they drive around in golf carts and just stare, don’t offer rides to front of hotel and just seems BOTING and it is. It’s like you have to ask for stuff like water and they seem out of it. The maids service was non existent and they don’t clean rooms you have to call for towels and other items . Nice hotel and casino but I got more information from locals at casino. And they take your drink at 300 am and literally take drinks out your hands. Nice but boring hotel the Morongo had a bit more class.

My boyfriend and I have stayed at many casino resorts in Southern California and some during the pandemic, so we are used to restrictions and protocols. I normally don't write reviews, but noticed there weren't many to read before booking our stay. I will start with the good: 1. Clean, shiny and new pretty interiors: Great ceiling heights (Morongo's low ceilings annoy me for the price), attractive contemporary decor, nice bathroom (bathtub would have been nice, but their price is typically low, we paid more than average). 2. Nice views at pool, decent lounge chairs, towels, jacuzzi tub size reasonable and views of golf course great. 3. 50% of the staff are friendly and kind.
Ok, the bad... It feels like a prison. I understand temperature checks, but if I have a wrist band and go to the car for a second.. I mean.. it's a bit much. Speaking of wristbands, don't lose them. I was told at check in I would not get a replacement. I did lose them and had them replaced, but probably due to the fact the pool wasn't going to open till 1pm on Sunday I lost them after checking in early and before the pool was open. I checked in early to use the pool, but had to wait till 1 (apparently it closed for 24 hrs after someone vomited in it yesterday). I was scared going to the front to ask for replacement, this is not a festive environment. She sternly told me not to expect a replacement after this... (I put them in my purse while I tried to find my boyfriend to give him his. People were reprimanded for not having them on and just holding them entering the pool. They obviously have massive issues with safety and while driving off property for some lunch it isn't shocking. If you drive in from the 60, it is a great drive, but Hemet and San Jacinto are rough areas and it bleeds into the casino.
I like to feel free and easy on casino property and it just isn't possible for them in the area. They need to figure out how to create a more positive and playful environment, because the strained feeling makes me reluctant to come back. The woman in the resort gift shop was very sweet and so was the rewards representative at the casino, but others were cold and hostile. It felt like I was visiting a government building with protocols and I was on thin ice at all times. My boyfriend felt this as well and was put off by it as well. He loves Pala and I have to agree that they should probably study how that casino is running a tight ship with a much more positive atmosphere. The drive to this casino from LA is amazingly easy and I was crossing my fingers this would be our Palm Springs alternative for an easy drive back to work Monday morning.
If they want to attract better clientele, they need to change the energy they bring to the guests. Pay more and get better and happier employees. Read less

The beds are firm, which I personally like. They seem new, not sunk in and over used: it’s always very clean; smells fresh/clean but not like air freshener. The beds have nice cotton breathable comforters. The carpets seem clean. The tv allows for Chromecast so you can watch anything from your phone/laptop. The tv is big. There are plenty of extra towels in the rooms. I think think that the cleaners only come for longer stays, so you don’t have to worry about them coming into your room; which i personally like because i always leave a mess of my belongings and no one else needs to worry about that but me. ! I don’t mine asking for the extra things I might need. The bathrooms always seem really clean; the shower is large and great for showering with young kids. The rooms are quiet, the fridge doesn’t run poorly and keep me awake all night. The air conditioning doesn’t smell musty like so many hotels. Honestly I am SO surprised people have written anything bad about this place. I don’t gamble though, but my partner does. Maybe those bad reviews are from angry people who’ve lost money. We often get a free room for one night. And everytime we come in the front door; the staff is BEYOND friendly. We’ve eaten some pretty tasty food at the restaurants and gotten yummy dessert at the coffee shop.

Our digital ID was accepted by the casino resort to check in but when we won the autographed Lit Guitar, we were told we needed a physical ID and given 1 minute to produce it. The staff were very unhelpful and un empathetic (except for security who were lovely) and refused to check the rules.
As for the casino resort itself, the complimentary coffee is awful in the room. No information was provided about the resort, either by guest services or a physical copy in the room. The pool we were told was heated and was quite cold.
Considering the expense, it is not value for money.

Husband and I spent 2 nights in a nice suite with a soaking tub. Had a great dinner at Canyons Steakhouse one night, saw comedian Nick Swardson another night, and enjoyed room service breakfasts from Fairway Cafe both mornings. Plus we won about $2100 over the weekend! Fun entertainment, good food and good gambling!

So Sad about Soboba today, but I am tired. I thought they were better than this. I went today as I do for the weekly gifting program. My husband and I always stop and play the slots a few minutes to show appreciation. We are and constantly were followed by the cleaning and administrative people as if we were criminals. This has been going on for a long time as well. While at another Socal Casino, I called the employees out for stalking and following us, slamming chairs, surveilling us, and constant harassment. I'm quite sure the casinos communicate with each other, because ever since I complained the behavior has worsened everywhere we go. I even complimented how we were treated at one casino, and the behavior started there as well. We continue to be followed and disrespected at the local casinos. Further, in June 2023 I was celebrating my 60th Birthday and being cancer free and we were treated like criminals. Following us (mainly me because I complained), slamming the chairs next to me, and you name it. I am a Black American professional and disabled veteran and so is my husband. I have been treated less than I should've tolerated for so long. Needless to say, I will NOT step foot on Soboba's property again, and you are welcome. And don't send any more of your literature to my home for any type of promotions. Enough!!!! Good Riddance from a prior dedicated patron. No, they don't pay enough and if they did it wouldn't cover the disrespect I have encountered from these people.!!!!!

This is the stingiest tribal casino in SoCal. You’ll lose everytime. It use to be fun because you could have some fun wins, but ever since the pandemic they tightened it up and are trying to recoup the lost money so the machines aren’t paying out. And the comps are basically nonexistent. Also If you like to play late night, they keep the music blaring so loud at 4am. Don’t waste your time here!

You may want to think twice before checking in at the front desk with rep Matthew. His customer service is hands down the worse I’ve ever encountered. He has no business being at the front desk. No decorum and basically classless. It’s unfortunate because everyone else there including Veronica, Jill, and Leticia are first rate. My room wasn’t ready and it was past check in time. I don’t mind waiting but when I asked how long, Matthew reacted with an ignorant answer. I said would it be 9:00p m and all I got was a shoulder shrug. He didn’t bother to contact housekeeping and at least get an idea when the room would be ready. Veronica had to do it for him. He completely leaves the customer in the dark with a talk down to the customer attitude It’s unfortunate how one rotten apple can ruin it for everyone else.

I was there today and is not fun anymore, like this lady sitting next to me said, " this is not fun anymore, this is torture !"., this casino takes your money, I don't pretend get rich here but at least have fun. I just saw one people winning and that's because she was betting $12, that's what this casino wants now, all your money !!! That must be the reason why I see less and less people at this place, this casino is dying !!! The only good thing I can say is that is a non smoking and they provide hand sanitizer and wipes, other than that, nothing good.
