This hotel was adequate, however we were unhappy with one portion of our stay. Our room was not stocked with towels and when staff were contacted we were informed that nothing could be done about the problem. No rate reductions were offered. I have contacted Motel 6 about this concern and hopefully it will be resolved. I feel that if a hotel room cannot offer you the basics then you should be notified of this at the time of check-in and/or have your rate reduced.

First I start with the positives...
The staff was friendly and helpful.
Our room was clean.
The facility seemed well maintained.
The drawbacks (Hence, 'Not very accomodating' title)
1. No breakfast at all, only a 10% off at Dennys resturaunt.
2. No coffee maker in room. (Coffee provided at main enterance however)
3. WiFi was a $3 charge. (Give me a break.....!)
4. They must have photo ID of each adult staying. (My wife too).
5. Cost for this room was above others in area.
Not a great value, so two stars. Perhaps the items I have listed, good or bad, will be of help to someone. The whole idea of Tripadvisor!!

Stayed with my two little girls, 5 & 6. They were thrilled with the pool, and ranked it higher than the Holiday Inn Express we stayed in while in San Francisco. For me, it was a good clean, inexpensive place to lie my head (albeit I really do wish they had wireless internet access). This is one Motel 6 I will return to.

There was one hair on the bedsheet, either from the cleaning crew or from the previous guest. I hope it was not from the previous guest who slept in that bed and then the bed sheet were not changed. There was one other hair on the towel rack. There were only two towels from 4 people. There are not enough hooks to hang the towels. Towels are rolled and put inside some holes with a yellow cover, the holes are not cleaned, there was a lot of dust inside. The toilet did not have a cover. The carpet was not vacuumed. There were like breadcrumbs on the bed so i am thinking the bed sheets really were not changed from the previous guest and this is a bit disgusting. I understand there is no breakfast available during Covid but at least they could have provided some coffee/tea in the lobby. I booked a non smoking room but it smelled of sigarette.

To begin with, we booked through a third party site (hotels.com). It said the hotel was at least a 7 out of 10. When we arrived, the room we were given was occupied by someone else or had not been cleaned..It was late at night, so we were given another room which was a smoking room and a single full sized bed, which we had reserved 2 beds and a non-smoking room. The room smelled liked old cigarettes, the TV did not work at all, and the ceiling tiles were bowed and discolored. Also, the door in the bathroom did not close unless you lifted the toilet seat AND the lid. The wall of the bathroom was kicked in as well. This property does not live up to the newer Motel 6 standards. We will now pay closer attention to Trip Advisor reviews. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money for a nicer room elsewhere.

They have totally renovated this hotel. Right? We decided to visit the Monterey area during Motor Week on short notice. Unfortunately, this was the only place available. Based on previous reviews, they may have slapped a new coat of paint on the place, but they haven't conquered their bug problem. My ten year old daughter, who is allergic to bug bites, woke up screaming in the middle of the night and we found swollen bug bites on her legs in the morning. We had to cut our trip short. We thought we had checked our belongings pretty well after we got home, but now, two weeks later, we are dealing with them in our home. Apparently, some of the critters hitched a ride home with us on my daughter's stuffed toys that she had in the room. The cost of dealing with this problem has cost us a lot more than the fifty bucks we saved by being cheap with our choice of rooms. If you decide to stay here, check your bed straight away for bedbugs. It makes me angry that my child is suffering, because I tried to get a good deal.

Woke up Saturday morning July 30th with about 12 bites on my face, left hand and arm. I advised the front desk that evening that I had woken up with the bites, the next day they changed the bedding. We stayed a total of 3 nights and every day more bites showed up. After we got home on Monday, I noticed a few more had showed up. Ended up with over 50 bites over my whole body.
Now my husband is getting the bites at home. So it looks we brought them home. We were in room 245.
I think this is going to be an extremely expensive stay.

I've stayed at this Motel 2 times, and both times something weird has happened. They have a 10 o clock curfew and make a loud announcement about having only registered guests allowed on the property, which i understand. But when im unloading my car and get harassed three times by three different people asking if im a registered guest. After the first time it got a little frustrating. Very shortly after that i am finally comfortable in my room, i get a call saying im being too loud, when i am literally laying in bed watching cartoons. I go to bed and at four am. Seriously. Four am. So i answer, and no one is there. The stranger proceeds to call six more times. I went outside to see if anything was going on, and no nothing. The second i go back into my room, they call again with no answer. I unplugged the phone and tried to sleep. When i asked the office if they had called me, they said no. Creepy.
The most recent stay was just as weird. I extended my room sadly, and the next morning while i was sound asleep, some woman calls and asks who i am. Not saying who she was and demanding me to tell her who i was and who else was in the room before rudely hanging up. Moments later way too early the house keeper comes asking when im leaving. I don't know what i did to the people at the hotel but they really wanted to make sure i didnt get a wink of sleep and was as uncomfortable as possible. Dont stay here. Just dont.

We had no heating...they offered extra blanket...and at the end when we were leaving, they said /lied in front of the checking in clients/ to refund our money...but they never did, and i contacted your company and seems to be after this horrible experience...we still had to pay....very bad support...!!!!!!!

We had a sudden change of plans and. having never stayed in a motel 6, thought it would be a cheap option for the night....How wrong we were, having a room at the 'back' of the motel we pulled around to find the three car parks in front of our room filled with some sort of 'gangsters' laying over the hood drinking in one and the other with what appeared to be working ladies....hurried rushed past them to our room, which was horrible, absolutely no redeeming features but hey we just waned to sleep. Unfortunately motel 6 could not even provide this, making almost comical announcements over the PA system every 5 minutes telling other guests to leave, that the police would be called ETC ETC.... after many hours the ladies outside left and we moved our car in front of the room where we spent a restless night wondering if every car alarm or glass breaking was our car gone not to mention the knocking on our door at 3am....needles to say we checked out early and will never ever return. I head you to do the same!
