What a lovely HI property! We stayed her for one night while visiting Pinnacles National Park, an hour away. Staff members were super friendly and helpful, upgrading us to a suite that was available. The suite was spacious and modern, clean and quiet. Front desk manager made an excellent suggestion for dinner. Perfect stay!

This hotel feels a bit old and is apparently going through some renovations. The hotel room was clean and of a decent size. The bed is alright. I like that they provide soft and firm pillows. The bathroom was the problem - they have multi-use shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel, however, the shampoo and conditioner in my room was empty. I would think the staff would check this when they clean up after a previous customer. They provide a simple self-serve breakfast, which is convenient.

Platinum member and needed a place to stay in an emergency. Crazy price and well below normal HI standards, Breakfast awful, eggs cold, tables dirty and we had to clean ourselves.
Would never stay in this place again, and suggest you avoid at all costs.

We decided to stop in Salinas on NYE on our travel and booking was fast and easy. Our check in was quick and our stay was going extremely pleasant - clean spacious room, nice front desk employees, AM breakfast.
Our main issue started in the morning after we got breakfast. Considering check out wasn’t until noon, we decided to take a quick nap after breakfast at 8am. Within 8am-10am, a housekeeper kept opening the door without announcing. This happened 3 times, including one of the times when my partner was showering. This was extremely inappropriate and we felt forced to leave around 10:30am as we kept having someone constantly not respect our privacy and created an unsafe environment.
I informed the front desk upon check out and requested to speak with a manager yet have still not received a call. I would not recommend unless you enjoy knowing someone could walk into your privacy whenever they decide.

Great accomodations, helpful staff. Will stay there again. Quiet, great indoor pool. Location good. Breakfast was good for a motel meal. Staff provided me with a tube of toothpaste that I had forgotten.

Driving back from a coastal wedding, decided was too late. Stopped in for a late night booking, front desk staff very friendly. The real kicker was the indoor pool. Kids immediately perked up to go in, I think it closed at 11 so they got their quick round in. Breakfast standard for holiday inn was appreciated.

On a mission we only stayed one night in Salinas. The property is well located to get to town, easy access to the coast beyond. Our room was very nice, good amenities, great pillows, good towels. Not the newest but well kept.

Good hotel experience for a 1 night stay...easy on-off Highway 101 access and near several other hotels, a McD and a Dennys a little ways off. A very filling hot breakfast in the AM..even had: a "make-ur-pancake" machine that pops 2 pancakes right onto your plate! They're OK for "machine-made!"..Also has sausage/biscuits/gravy which pleased Mr.//fresh fruit/English muffins/juice/milk/yogurt/cereals//etc Very friendly staff and helpful too! Room was clean, remodeled and comfy beds and lots of pillows!! Only thing to mention is for me, it needed a little more lighting (like a lamp on either side of the beds)...microwave//small fridge//coffee/tea maker. A good experience! And one of the few rooms that has windows you can open for fresh air! Indoor pool and spa..which were standard.

We were in Monterey and decided to stay in Salinas so we could have a nice hotel without coastal prices. When we drove into town it didn't seem very safe, but we already eat so all I wanted was a clean hotel. When we checked in everything seemed okay. When we got to our room it had a strange smell! I looked around and noted a letter on the night stand giving us safety tips! Slightly alarming. We decided to double check to make sure the truck was locked and remove or cover all remaining items in the truck. When we went to sleep we noticed a something brown on the top sheet and then more of the brown stuff on the bottom sheet. It seemed to be chocolate or blood, I'm unsure. It seemed like the sheets were not washed since the spot had texture. The other side of the sheet had a stain that seemed to be oil. I was not pleased. When we got home we noticed a spot on the bumper of our truck. My husband took a closer look and found that this brand new truck had been stripped of parts. Someone had stoled his spare tire, broke the mounting brackets and took the trail hookups. I call the hotel to inform them of what had happend since they have cameras. I called multiple times to speek with a manager, in which I had left multiple messages. NO REPLY. After all the repairs that need to be done plus hotel cost we spent $800. Didn't save any money by staying here! What had happen was unforunate and would of appreciated the hotel acknowledging the problem.

Ok, kind of a mouthful of a claim but I stay at Holiday Inn hotels all over the west 40 weeks out of the year so I know the great and the really horrendous; this one is in the top 10%. The formula is simple but for some reason not each of them can put it all together, correctly, this one has what I expect: really good, sincere, quick service; clean accommodations; plenty of plug-ins in the room for all my drained electronics; a refrigerator for my dinner leftovers and drinks. Lastly, Holiday Inn went to a new program not that long ago that gives me a choice between getting 500 extra points (love my points) or some bottled water and snacks as a thank you for my continued, continual, patronage; this HI didn't hesitate to offer the points whereas a good too many HI's still aren't complying with the new corporate program (independently owned a problem??).

We definitely understand great service along with clean and comfortable accommodations is a main key to success. I'm sorry to hear that you have not been receiving your welcome amenity at other IHG locations, it's a new program that just rolled out.
