Great place to stay!! Food was good and service was great. Rooms were beautiful!!! The grounds are amazing and well worth the trip. The location is perfect to visit the local wineries or take a quick trip over to the coast
Friendly staff, very helpful. The free bikes in the morning to ride were a blast. Front desk was kind enough to send our room a bottle of wine and some truffles (our honeymoon), but ironically it was a national name-brand wine instead of their affiliated vineyard. ; - ) The main reason to stay is the courtyard. If you can chill for an afternoon there, you will be transported to another place and time. And there are little nooks and crannies to explore on the property, which is always fun. Their on-site indoor/outdoor restaurant is lively--you feel like you're "part of the scene." The drawbacks are a very meh fitness room, a long walk to the elevators if you need them, and that everything at the resort and the surrounding area is expensive. Speaking of surrounding area, they position themselves as secluded, but they are far from it. There's a local college on one side and a La Quinta Inn on the other. But if you walk the gardens at sunset, you can pretty much tune that out.…
Exceptional Venue!! Customer service provided was incomparable; as each employee took great pride in what they do, and the care and importance they place on their guest. There is also so much to do on the premises that you have no need to go anywhere else.
I loved my stay and look forward to returning with my family. Amazing views, amenities and service. Hotel staff was very accommodating and I felt that this luxury experience was a great value. Definitely recommend.
Such a beautiful hotel. There are so many statues and works of art that you should plan on spending some time exploring the hotel and grounds. Even the walk through the vineyard is remarkable. We used the spa and enjoyed our couples massage. The gym and pool areas are a decent size. Downtown is under 10 minutes away and we had no issues getting Ubers to pick us up or just drove down (never had an issue finding parking on the street in town). Highly recommend you get a room with a patio but either way you’ll find this place to be more than just a hotel.
This review is about the Allegretto Hotel in Paso Robles, but I certainly hope that Douglas Ayres, the proprietor, reads this! We recently spent two days (way too short) in the typical July heat, celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary at the Allegretto Resort. My wife, Tatiana, and I have traveled a great deal including 5 star hotels in Hanoi, etc., so we can and do compare! Mr. Ayres and his team have created a very special property, and while we missed seeing him, although we were told he was there, it was obvious that "the owner's touch" was everywhere. Every single staff member was beyond special, and everyone truly cared - none more than Concierge Ms. Bobbie Martinez (Mr. Ayres and Toni, Head Concierge, take note!) You should all be so proud: Fabulous breakfasts, amazing massages (thanks Judy and staff), great winery suggestions and dinner reservations, (Bobbie, you know that was you!), front desk (John, et al), who really cared and ran looking when we lost things, which were found, and/or were sent to us... hey, we're in our 70's! We did not have time to take the artistic tours, but will next time. It seems Mr. Ayres did a modern day W. Randolph Hearst "tour abroad" for the many treasures in and outside the hotel. So give yourself a treat and allow more than two nights! Howard and Tatiana from Los Angeles.…
Wonderful! Our group had a terrific experience. Group dinner outdoors was great! Love the fire pits. Rooms are comfortable and the pool and jacuzzi were refreshing. The icing on the cake was the Spa. The message was incredible. Allegretto is definitely on the return to list!
Loved our stay! Unfortunately, it was only for one night, but we will be back. Lovely property and staff were very nice and welcoming. Only recommendation would be have less cabanas and more loungers available at the pool. We found the pool area packed with people and none were available for the two of us to relax. There were lots of cabanas that were empty.
Top flight romantic architecture and vineyard site with extraordinary art and romantic touches (jazz in the courtyard with water fountains babbling). And, in an age of disappointing service, we found the staff here bright, engaging, and attentive. From the doorman Mr. Z to the super helpful concierge to the first rate food at the hotel restaurant and bar to pool loungers towel restocking (😀), this place is exceptional!
Everything you’d expect from a top notch resort with treasures to discover throughout the property. You will not only relax and enjoy your stay. You might just leave feeling a renewed sense of optimism for life! The grounds, food, wine, and staff were all the best! I love this resort and will definitely return.
