Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was a basic no frills stay, but the room was clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating to our requests. We would stay here again if passing through Paso Robles which is such a quaint town to visit.

room as basic as they come, location convenient, ameneties? none, really... i.e. no alarm clock on night stand. Can't turn light off when going to bed with having to get out of it first. Bathroom 60s style.

Very friendly owner from Bradford England. Bathroom needed a thorough update. Comfortable bed and if you just need to spend a night this is as low priced place you will find.. there is no breakfast or even coffee machine in the room so be warned.

Attended Wedding, needed a place to lay down our heads for the night, Every hotel in Area No vacancy. Upon entering room, the musty smell, door handle inside was "dirty". We wiped down Door handles, toilet handles, anything we would touch with disinfect wipes. We were shocked at the dirt that came off the chair in front of desk. Also left my keys & wallet on night stand shelf, That in turned "sweeped" the dust off shelf when reaching for them in the morning! The room is dated, bathroom fixtures and tile with hard water and calcium buildup
.....Unfortunately We would never stay here again, Especially at a 160 bucks a night.

Least expensive place I could find, met what I expected. Brand new carpet, bed was just fine (other reviewers complained they were hard. It was fine. If it was lumpy or too soft I would have hated it. I found this one comfortable), TV, mini fridge and microwave worked, cute pink tiled bathroom. Yes the bathroom tile is old and the grout and corners could use a good bleaching, but it's what I expected for an older motel. Funky 70's desk/makeup dresser with mirror and a light above it. Becky, the hostess, was super friendly and accommodating. She brought us extra pillows and towels when asked and let me have two styrofoam cups so I could heat up water in the microwave to make instant coffee. Her husband had turned on our AC in advance of us arriving to cool off our room which was great since it was 100 degrees that day. Truly appreciated. We didn't go in the pool, but it looked very inviting and clean. Free WiFi was a little weak, barely reached our room at the far end of building but still worked and was ok for my phone. Area felt safe and there was a decent restaurant just across the street. For the price, it was what we expected. Came to visit the Bruce Munro Sensorio lights. Had a good time.

Recently rebranded as The Cielo House Inn. This was my first visit to Paso Robles. The Cielo House Inn is centrally located and minutes from the town center. Restaurants and wine tastings all a short distance away. Furthermore, we were relatively close to the Dao and Booker vineyards which we visited. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. WiFi worked very well. As we know, need good WiFi in this day and age. The on site manager was affable. Makes a huge difference when you are greeted with a smile. We had a very pleasant stay and look forward to returning to Paso Robles and The Cielo House Inn.

We had guaranteed reservations at a different hotel. Upon arrival after a long day motorcycling, we're informed that due to a computer glitch they lost our reservation and we're out of luck because the whole town is booked solid. But *luckily* the desk clerk's sister manages the Town House Motel and she has a couple rooms left for the same price as our reserved room.

We arrive at the Town House, and it's your standard one-story motel from the 1940s or so where you can park right in front of your room. It's directly on the main drag of town, but there's little traffic after dark, so it was acceptably quiet. $100/night got us a double bed, bathroom with shower stall, and a small fridge. The exterior doors of the room are hollow core interior doors, so if you struggle with feelings of security, don't stay here. The rooms clearly have not been renovated for at least 30 years, the bathrooms longer than that (pink tile from the 1950s.)

But the decor wasn't really the issue. It was the grubbiness and rattiness of the bed linens, towels, and carpeting. That shag carpeting was so old dirty and matted it felt like rubber under my feet. I wouldn't take my socks off, and after a short while they were black on the bottom. I suppose it was kind of comical to watch me hopping out of the shower directly into my high heels so I wouldn't have to touch my bare feet to that grubby carpet.

A room like that should never really be rented - and certainly not for any $100/night. But we were between a rock and a hard place, and were certainly taken advantage of. Bleh! Avoid this one at all costs if you can!

When every other hotel in Paso Robles is full, chances are there will still be rooms at the Town House because it is so horrible. We stayed for only one night, because this was the only motel with rooms available in Paso Robles. Not only are the rooms dated and in a state of disrepair, they are also dirty to the point you do not want to remove your shoes. The pool area is ok, nothing more. Upon checkout, I told the management (I think it is a owner-occupied motel) that the rooms were in extremely poor condition and received nothing more than a quizzical shrug. Stay here only if every other motel is full or you are too tired to drive another 10 miles south to Atascadero!

Clean rooms. It's really correct. Don't care about old comments from 2007-2008.
Now, it's a nice place...
Wifi is a little slowly...
Only 68 dollars for 2. All others are really expensive.
And they have a pool in this place.

There was utdated, dangerous furniture (e.g. nails sticking out of furniture, holes in the floor covered by carpet) to start. There were rodents in our room! We caught a mouse that got into a grocery bag I brought with us that was filled with food. We brought it to the night attendant, who offered to knock $20 off of the room, rather than comp us. He was rude and offensive, telling my husband to "use his brain." The place stunk to high heaven (smoke, urine and God knows what else). The rooms were dirty and the doors were unsafe, with locks that looked like they had been broken into several times (and we stayed in three different rooms over two days, hoping it would get better...we were stupid). There were rude, drunken guests yelling and screaming at 5am. They were not addressed by staff.

All in all it was the absolute, hands-down worst motel stay of my life.
