The Hilton Palm Springs draws praise for its inviting atmosphere and well-regarded pool area, which many guests describe as a relaxing, resort-like oasis with excellent service. Its prime location allows easy access to downtown attractions, and visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the hotel. While the room rates are seen as reasonable by some, others find extras like parking and dining to be pricey. Guest experiences with the rooms are varied, with cleanliness and views often appreciated, though maintenance has been flagged as an issue by a few.

I last stayed in this hotel a few years ago. This time we got a pool view room on the second floor which I preferred. Last time we stayed here we did not have a view of the pool and courtyard and faced the large parking area. I did not like that. Although it costs more it's worth getting the pool view room as it creates a completely different vibe (there seems to be poolside rooms (ground level) and pool view rooms (upper floors). It felt more like staying at a resort than a hotel and I liked having the balcony. The location of this hotel is fantastic. It was easy for us to get around by foot as the location is pretty close to downtown and very close to the casino. The staff at the hotel were friendly and the room was clean. I only used the gym for a quick run and the treadmill was modern. I would definitely stay here again. It's Palm Springs so very welcoming hotel for LGBT+. Only feedback is that the room service dining menu could be expanded to offer some healthier and more interesting options (i.e. vegan and gluten-free).

Fantastic room with great amenities. Great patio area overlooking pool and mountains in the distance. Loved the bed and shower. Only stayed one night, but would have gladly stayed longer. Good location for walking to restaurants, bars, etc. Parking is an extra fee and signage for where to park based on room location and entry door is lacking and results in extra steps. Nice lobby. I did not use pool but it looked inviting.

Mostly everything was fine. The hotel was clean but could use a little TLC, peeling wall paper, loose plugs in nightstand lamps-- could not hold a charger.

But really my pet peeve is when they do not fill up the Shower Gel. It must have been close to empty and there ya are, showering, trying to get some gel out and there is none. So you have to get out of the shower, while it is running and make a water mess on the floor grabbing the soap from the sink.

Then of course there was no paper to leave a note, and no housekeeping in the hallway. So we had to use a styrofoam box that had had leftover food in it and inscribe a note and leave it on toilet. That did fix the problem. But it seems this should be something they are checking regularly.

Service was good, we went to the hotel bar twice and it was no problem. Front desk staff very pleasant at check in. Watch your bill, went to check out and there was a $20 charge for food charged to our room from the pool bar. We did not go to the pool bar and we did not eat there and we never charge to the room. It took some time for her to locate the receipt and indeed they charged to the wrong room and this was corrected. I probably would not have caught this if I didn't actually check out on in person.

It is close to downtown, easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. It is quiet and pleasant.

Overall, it was a good stay and we would stay here again.

I’m a bad news first sort of person so I’m just going to say the staff is not trained well or unmotivated to give decent customer service.

We asked for rooms next to each other and were told we could check in early and that our rooms were put on a rush list to be cleaned after the previous gusts left at 12:30 but it was a lie.

When the staff finally texted us that one of our two rooms was ready at 3:30, they offered us a choice between a poolside balcony or rooms facing the street so there never really was a team working on a particular set of rooms.

The next morning when we went to have breakfast our waiter in grey shirt ignored us for so long the family seated right before us was finishing their food before we could even order.

At this point we called out the waiter who said he would be right with us but went right back to taking orders from parties seated long after we were.

The host/manager Dean tried to make it right by getting us a new server who did his job well and the next day we got excellent service but that first waiter and the front desk lady should not be interfacing with any of the guests.

Other reviews suggest the staff has been there too long to care and it really is time to replace some of them with folks happy to have the work.

The room was clean, the beds were good and the room was quiet when the family across the hall got back from the pool and their dog finally stopped barking.

The location is good but I was thankful I had no plans to use the pool because all the seats were reserved using towels by 8:00 am so this is not a place to stay unless you don’t mind waiting a ridiculous amount of time for everything.

The best part of our stay was the tasty burgers at the Hey Day.

The burgers run a bit small so order a double.

Their service and food is excellent.

My stay was on the 29 august I decided to stay at the Hilton palm springs
the location is just perfect next to the Casino and downtown palm springs
not very far from the airport. If anyone decides to visit palm springs area its the perfect place and right across is the Regal cinema to take your partner.
Check in was smooth and easy and close to the entrance per my request.
Jason texted me to my cell to greet me and to ask if there's any request and also after check out. I think that's great and very welcoming. I would stay here again and would recommend it. Also the rooms are very spacious have a sofa & mines had a balcony. My only recommendation is to have Google Chromecast or something similar to sync your home app like Netflix or YouTube that would be awesome.

Now, if you're Californian (or Canadian), a Desert Trip is much needed from time to time. Sometimes, you need some rest and relaxation. Other times, you need a fun night, with a few regretful moments here and there.

The Hilton Palm Springs is a good location if you're trying to strike a balance between both. Location wise, it is directly adjacent to the Agua Caliente Casino, Sherman's Deli (incredible sandwiches) and a whole ton of restaurants, bars, nightlife and clubs.

Really, there is a good chance you won't be spending too much time in the room if you're staying at a hotel in this area. You will likely be spending more time at the pool and wandering around. So I am being more generous with my review considering that.

This is not a four-star hotel, if I am being completely honest. The rooms and facilities are pretty dated. You would likely find a nicer hotel elsewhere in the Coachella Valley when it comes to room quality and amenities, but you might be an hour and a $50 Uber away from Downtown PS.

Here's a tip: The balcony sliding door was cracked open the slightest bit before I arrived in the room and the air conditioning thermostat did not turn on. I thought the AC was broken, but apparently a small sign that tells you about this functionality fell off LOL.

Stay here if you are going to spend a lot of time around Palm Springs. If you're looking for a hotel to just lounge at the pool all day or staycation, you might find a better value elsewhere.

Stayed a long weekend here with my wife and overall we really enjoyed it but I just felt for a Hilton, it lacked attention to details. As a Hilton Diamond member, we were upgraded to a pool view room which was very well appointed and had a lot of room. I loved the seperate area that my wife could do her hair and I could brush my teeth in the other area. Shower was really nice and modern except for the shower head. The bed and pillows were wonderful! Did not like that the electric plugs did not work at the desk and there were only plugs on one side of the king size bed. All rooms had balcanies, but they needed to be powerwashed and repainted. The grounds around the pool just needed some tidying as well as garbage picked up. The pool lounger tables all needed to be wiped down, especially during COVID. The location is excellent if you want to go downtown to shop, eat or barhop. Very convenient to the casino being right across the street but we did not go. This property also allows dogs so if you are not a dog fan, this could be an issue. We heard quite a few dogs barking in rooms during the evening. I was surprised that no where on this property did they have a water bill fill station, not even in the fitness center. Overall, we liked it here and will probably return if we are planning another trip in the area.
Hilton Diamond Members get a $12 credit for breafast per person (max 2 per room). Their breakfast menu was pretty good. Parking a car will be charged $18 per day. I recommend parking on the east side of the property in the street. Plenty of parking there for free.

This Hilton is tired and in dire need of a makeover. I had a choice between staying here or at the Doubletree a few miles away. Chose the Hilton due to convenience as we were meeting friends there.

Anyway, the grounds need some TLC, the hotel amenities are pretty scarce. Hey Hilton, a nice coffee bar would be nice in the lobby. And considering this is the desert, how about a water station as well.

On the plus side, the rooms appear to have been renovated recently. Ours was comfortable and had nice furnishings. However, the carpet needs a deep cleaning. Requests for minor maintenance took two calls to get action. Housekeeping requests were immediately responded to. Speaking of housekeeping, I’m calling foul on Hilton’s new policy of having to call to have the room refreshed except for the third or fourth day. Seems they liked the Pandemic shutdown and not having to keep housekeeping staff on board. C’mon. This is supposed to be a top of the line hotel, not a Motel 6! Finally, it would be nice to have USB charging ports available bedside.

Although the restaurant menu is minimalist at best, I did have breakfast which wasn’t bad. The inside bar was pleasant and had great staffing. Background music could have been lower so you could converse without yelling!

On our next visit we’ll be staying at the Doubletree.

The location of this hotel is the really the only positive aspect one can evaluate.

At check in, which was only around 3:40pm, I had to wait 17 minutes in line and there were only 2 people ahead of me. At the same time, there were at least 8 people behind me also waiting to check in. Very slow. The day before arrival, I chose a specific room online. Then, while actually checking in, I was told I did not get that room and was given a different room. I asked the gentleman behind the counter, "If I chose a specific room, then that room must be blocked for me, otherwise there's no sense in choosing one". He said it doesn't always work that way. As an Honors Diamond member, I have stayed in Hilton's all over the world and this is the only one I've ever had a problem with.

Evidently, without notice, Hilton has changed the policy for offering Diamond members a choice of a free breakfast. Now, you don't get the choice, but rather a $12 "credit" towards breakfast. This, in and of itself is a joke because the breakfast costs more than $12 at just about any property. So rather than having a choice before, now you don't have a choice. Very poor loyalty concept.

Booked this hotel a few months ago, but it was rented out for a private party and guests could not use the pool. When I went to cancel 3 weeks weeks ahead of arrival, the reservation remained. When I called agin, Hilton said the General Manager refused to let us out of the reservation- despite trying to cancel weeks in advance. The property changed the reservation to a one night reservation that still showed me arriving, even though we went to another location. The general manager still refused to release our reservation. This is not the behavior that I am used to with Hilton. Buyer beware.
