Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After a very long drive, arriving at this hotel (which is very conveniently located near several free-ways), I was warmly greeted by the receptionist. My request for a room with a specific view, was met without hesitation.

Outstanding customer service from the moment we walked through the door to check in! Room was very clean & spacious, on-site restaurant breakfast was delicious (and I’m not usually impressed with hotel restaurants), on mornings I was in a hurry I was able to grab coffee & a bagel or breakfast sandwich or fresh fruit from the coffee shop located in the lobby. The bar had great beer & wine selections as well as great food available. I travel to the area fairly often and had a hotel I always stayed at but they were fully booked for this 8-day trip so I decided to try this hotel & I can definitely say that the Doubletree is definitely my new go-to hotel when I visit the area! Thank you for an amazing stay!

I know that certain amenities are not available due to the pandemic, but some of these precautions just seem like cost savings. My room only had one bar of soap, one wash cloth and one hand towel. I was checked in for a five night stay. There was one package of coffee and a broken coffee pot in the room. The rooms are very loud due to the location on the corner of two busy streets and directly across from a trauma center. The staff was nice enough but the hotel is just ok.

Dear 4782021, I would like to thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are pleased your overall stay was enjoyable, but we want it to be flawless. We are working during extraordinary times and the current restrictions are a challenge, however, this is no excuse if there were lapses in attentive service. I hope we will have the pleasure to welcome you back to DoubleTree by Hilton Anaheim-Orange in the future when I feel sure you will find our services much-improved. Hotel is close to Disney and in the shuttle bus route. The breakfast in the restaurant was good.
The staff did not really care for Hilton status or even attempt to go out of their way to accommodate requests.
I would recommend the Hilton Anaheim which is more expensive but definitely gives a much more premium feel to that family Disney vacation

+1
A decent option for visiting Disneyland while steering clear from the area immediately surrounding the park, the DoubleTree Anaheim – Orange County has been a good option for us. While the hotel no longer offers its own shuttle service to Disney, the ART resort bus picks up across the street and was convenient enough to give Uber/Lyft a run for their money.
The lobby level was remodeled a few years ago and the rooms are contemporary but unremarkable. Sadly, the desk chair in my 2 Double (Room 911) was visibly worn to the point of being uncomfortable to sit upon. (You could feel the metal parts through the leatherette seat. Yikes!) It seemed one or more of the elevators was out of commission during my stay leading to longer-than-average wait times and crowded elevators with a good number of guests not wearing masks; a bad combination. The pool area was a nice to have although it could use some attention and maybe a mild refresh. A duck pond is present at the corner of the property.
Food service was limited as the hotel ramps back up due to COVID, which meant the restaurant was closed and the lobby bar provided dinner while the coffee bar provided breakfast, though service at the latter was spotty and seemed stretched thin. I received a $10 Honors Gold F&B credit once during my stay, which seemed a bit odd considering other Hilton properties I’ve recently stayed at offered that credit nightly. Sadly, the front desk staff reported that the property had been out of the signature DoubleTree chocolate chip cookies for a couple weeks. 🍪😢
All in all, a nice though uneven DoubleTree property, and one which I’ll consider staying at again if the price is right. I suspect the facility will improve as things continue to ramp back up post-pandemic.

Oh boy, this hotel is just bad. My wife and I went for a special occasion, we had been to this location once before with no issues so I was not scared to book this place again. Let me say I should have saved my money and stayed in a Motel 6. I used a standard feature for all Hilton properties and checked in early, picked my room and thought everything was okay since I have done this exact thing many times before at other Hiltons. I get to the hotel at about 630 as my wife wanted to get dinner.
I knew something was already wrong then, the valet had cars everywhere and left no place for someone to park and check in. I just had to leave my truck in the middle of the driveway since there was no place for me to pull off. The ART bus had to drive around me and park at an odd angle as they also had nowhere to park.
I get to the front desk and finish checking in to get a key so I can park. I was given a room that was nothing near where I had picked, I picked a room facing Disneyland so we could watch the fireworks. I had asked about the room change and that I had already picked my room. The staff that was there was very rude and told me that me checking in early didn’t count and that they didn’t follow those procedures.
The elevator or elevators I can’t tell how many actually worked this trip as it was a toss up with how many worked at any given time. The mismatched control panels, the exposed wiring above the doors where the direction indicators should be was just sad. This is all before I get to the room that had no fridge or microwave. Something that has been a standard amongst most hotels was not explicitly stated to not be in all rooms. I had to buy a cooler for food that I was not able to eat without said microwave. I brought this up later with the staff who didn’t give any care in the world didn’t even try to fake it. I asked about the ART they just told me to download the app as it’s on demand but gave no other help with it. I had to flag down the ART driver for him to help me with the stop numbers that is for specifically the Double Tree.
The parking is ridiculous and terrible to get in and out of the gate. If you have anything bigger than a compact car you’re gonna be doing a five point turn to get out of it. For $25 in parking that is not near any place close that other people besides hotel guests would use it is quite overpriced for how poorly kept up it is. They could use the money to get some bug spray to spray the fire ants that’s in the seams of the concrete around the pool and spa.
This is not the hotel that I once stayed at and will never return.

We reserved this hotel for travel for funeral services. My family and I stayed for 3 days. Overall the hotel was good and I would stay again. Only issue was parking. Fees are too high for a daily rate and the digital key did not work. The gate to enter was always open and the main parking was always full. If I had a room a spot should be reserved for hotel guests. Overflow parking was just an inconvenience.

Dear catalinathe2thfairy, Thank you for your review and please accept our condolences. We truly rely on our guests' feedback to improve upon our offerings and services. Our hotel strives to provide the best in accommodations partnered with top-notch amenities and first-rate guest service. It’s always disappointing to read about a poor experience for any of our guests, and I’m truly disheartened to know your parking experience fell short of our high standards. Our parking rates are commensurate with those of the area hotels and are published on our website and on all the online travel platforms. My family and I stayed at the DT Orange while visiting the relatives in the area. This hotel is located in a great location (easy access to/from Freeway, walking distance to Outlets) and service was good.
The hotel is definitely an older property but the guestroom was well kept (meaning everything was functional) We were able to watch the fireworks from Disneyland in distance from our room. Needless to say, their signature Chocolate Chip Walnut cookies were delish!
No valet service/limited F&B and HK. The biggest issue we experienced were all 4 elevators out of order on the date of checkout. Luckily we were able to take stairs down, but it wasn't an easy task. I know staff were bustling trying to resolve the issue.
The hotel definitely have potential to improve in many areas, but overall it's a decent place to stay a night or two.

We booked through a travel agent and were unaware that this property did not have mini fridge or microwave in the room. There was no breakfast included as well as no free coffee or water available in the lobby. There was a little coffee maker in the room and $7 bottles of water. It is a lovely property and our service was wonderful BUT I paid for my son to stay across the street and that property had all the amenities for a few more dollars saving them the difference.
