My stay at Alo exceeded all expectations! I had to stay for about 3 weeks to attend to a family member’s care at UCI across the street, and I always felt safe walking to and from the hospital. The property’s location was also a great perk being right off of the freeway, and is also within walking distance to Wendy’s, Starbucks, and a sandwich shop. The free breakfast, free parking, lack of resort fee and daily housekeeping provided a tremendous value. The computer/printer set up was also very easy to use when I needed to print a document. The property is also well-staffed and there was always at least one person at the front desk ready to assist.

The room also felt spacious and the fridge/microwave combo was a great help for my long term stay. I had no issues with the room setup.

The gym is small and the laundry is a bit expensive ($8/load) but for the price of the stay, these were small concessions. The pool area was closed during my visit as well so I can’t speak to that amenity. The elevators are small and slow, so if you don’t want to wait, I recommend getting a first or second floor room to easily take the stairs.

Overall I had a great visit and will definitely keep this property in mind for future visits to the OC!

This is what a hotel should be, I requested a first floor room, and upon arrival received a first floor room! (at a decent room rate for a tourist area ). From the minute we checked in, we knew we made a good choice.(again, as we stayed here a few years ago.) The room was 100% clean & comfortable, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The ALO's Free Parking was a plus. areas. We picked The ALO, for it's walking distance to Angel Stadium as well as many restaurants and attractions in the area (Both walking and a very short drive!) The FREE breakfast was a nice treat with fresh coffee, juices and HOT foods as well as outdoor seating on the patio which was a great way to start the day. This is a family motel as there are many children there due to being a very short drive to Disneyland. This location also has a shuttle bus stop to Disneyland ($) which many people took advantage of. A very nice, basic outdoor pool area with a hot tub in the courtyard for hotel guests complete this picture! Thanx, ALO...... Looking forward to our next stay there when in the area! Highly Recommended, Overall Rating~ Very Good.

I was given the room with disability access and amenities, hence room wasn’t designed for tall able body. Please ask for normal room if possible. I could here the next room using their bathroom/shower whenever near my bathroom.

Rate was reasonable that came with complimentary standard breakfast… come early or the bacon can go quickly.

Walking distance to Outlet Stores - a bonus.

Hotel is nice but no microwaves in rooms. The hotel actually charges the full incidental fee and charges it to your bank and issues a refund in 5-7 business days. This was not clear to me as a consumer and had to contact my bank for a refund and credit as well as the hotel to see what happened. I have never had a hotel do a full charge and a refund for incidentals even high end hotels like the Hilton. I spent over 1 hour calling bank and hotel to see if there were charges to room as we always take a video of the room when leaving the property for our records. No issues with room but charge debited my account and have to wait a week for $100 incidental charge to be refunded. Just FYI. I have never seen this happen.

I had VIP seating for one of the most egregious displays inferior customer service ever performed.
My friend and I were charged an early check-in fee of $30, even though our room was ready.
When we confronted the stuff with this preposterous policy, they defended it in a way that was neither convincing you were satisfactory. There are plenty of hotels in the area. Select another.

5/5 Excellent
The hotel is very clean, quiet, and comfortable. It's also in a great location, close to many venues including Disneyland. They include breakfast, which is a little more than continental, with eggs and I believe sausage and potatoes, but I would rather go to a restaurant. Check in was quick and easy, parking could become full easily, but there is a sister hotel behind this one with a parking garage where I expect patrons could park. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. However, the air conditioning in every room (this was confirmed by the front desk) makes a ringing sound for about five of every ten minutes. Recommend bringing earplugs to sleep. Also, instead of putting a hold on your card for incidentals, they charge the card at check in. Upon checkout they refund it, but you will not receive the refund for 7-10 days depending on your bank. Something to be aware of.

Bed was very uncomfortable and firm but the pillows were comfortable. There's no ventilation in the bathroom so the steam stays in there for a long time following a shower. The toilet seat didn't stay down which caused issues for my husband. We love staying at Ayres hotels but this one was our least favorite. Others have much better dining options and have a great breakfast, this location had a small buffet but with less options. The restaurant attached to the hotel doesn't show much respect for the people staying at the hotel, has poor service and very overpriced food.

This hotel markets itself by offering preferred rates to medical travelers. One would think they would realize that medical travelers often have heightened risks to COVID and would try to create a safe environment. Unfortunately, the opposite was true.

Half of the staff were not wearing masks. More than half of the guests were not either. No signage encouraging mask use. Very small elevators packed full of unmasked folks. This all during a time when masks are required indoors.

I came here accompanying a family member who was visiting a nearby medical facility. This person cannot afford to get COVID. Seeing the lack of consideration for the health of such guests was very disappointing.

This is a great, modern, clean and comfortable option for those looking for a cheaper place to stay. Our room and beds were clean and comfortable, spacious enough for 3-4 people (double queen-sized room). The complimentary breakfast was fine – not too many options, however enough to fill you up for the morning (potatoes, yoghurt, fruit, muffins, etc...) and having Starbucks down the road was a plus! The ART shuttle was great considering the hotel is a while away from Disneyland, however, keep in mind that the hotel is not on the shuttle route, so you have to order one to pick you up specially. The shuttle was usually quick and made it easy to travel around Anaheim, however, we would recommend taking early trips in the morning and trips after 10:30 night to avoid long trips, where multiple parties have to get on/off. The one thing we felt was missing from our stay was a safe in the room.

It isn’t within walking distance. The hotel has a shuttle for $5. You can also purchase an Anaheim Resort Transit bus pass. The bus has a pickup stop right in front of the hotel.
