We had a wonderful Easter weekend with friends, despite heavy rain on the first night. We brought an EZ-Up and stayed dry as we cooked meals outdoors. The Airstream was clean, felt safe, and held very up well. The hot shower was refreshing. All amenities as described on the website were available. Our early arrival was not a problem at all, and the staff was friendly and welcoming all throughout. Shared trash binds were regularly emptied. Note that the electric vehicle charging station was always full. Parking can be very far from your unit, so pull wagon-carts are provided if you have a lot of stuff. The camp is an hour's drive to the Yosemite National Park's Visitor Center.

Property's Favourite Review
We came here last week before Christmas Eve for a camping experience and we really really LOVE this place so much. The airstreams are comfortable and clean. It’s so nice to have a private room, living space, huge bathroom (that you never think how big in the airstream can do), lovely kitchenette and a fire. Also, the staff is so helpful and friendly. Trust us AutoCamp is the best place to stay in Midpines, CA!!

This is our first time coming to Autocamp. Everything is good but not the best. With the price, I hope it could be a little better. We stayed in the basic Airstream. It says Airstream fits 4 people, which I think is a little too small. The sofa bed can't really fit two adults. It will fit 2 adults + 2 kids or 3 adults. If you are paying this much, you would expect to be able to sleep more comfortably instead of cramping together. Everything is good inside the Airstream but you can see some wear and tear. There are 3 different air control systems in the Airstream. All of them are very noise. There are 2 heater vents. One is right next to the entrace and the other one is next to the master bedroom door. Just turn the knob, and the heater will turn on. Another heater/AC is mounted right on top of the sofa bed and we found 2 remote controls and each remote control will show different setting which is confusing. The 3rd AC/heating systme is on the ceiling with the control next to the kitchen sink. This systme is extremely loud. The bathroom is pretty big for a RV but the water pressure is not great. Also, hot water runs out after 2 showers. You will have to wait a good 30 mins before the water is hot enough. I guess if the weather is hot, this shouldn't be a problem. We didn't know this on our first night, which was rainy and cold. Two of us need to shower with warm-ish water on a cold rainy day. Personally, I think its a little horrible experience. Autocamp does not provide toothbrush. You will need to purchase it at the clubhouse or bring your own. The blanket they provide is thin. I would recommend bringing sleeping bags as a backup. Their pillow is not comfortable at all. One of the pillows stored under the sofa bed had some strange oily smell. Maybe the smell is from the storage bag under the sofa bed? There are no USB ports to charge your devices. You will need to bring your own regular plug to charge. You cannot cook inside the Airstream. You will need to do all the cooking outside. Either you bring your own grill or burner or you can use their fire pit that is right outside of the Airstream. Chopping boards, tongs, opener, grill brush, iron casket are all provided. The chopping board in our Airstream is over used. Totally recommending them to replace it. There is a small refrigerator and two small foldable tables in the closet. Clubhouse also sells charcoal and firewood. While we are there, it was raining and cold and they do not provide anything to cover you while you are cooking outside. You will have to cook unde the rain. I find this very inconvenient. When they are advertising the site as a luxury glamping, they should provide amenities where you don't get soaked while cooking outdoor. Otherwise, I might be better off just rent a RV myself and camp at a camp ground. The rental RV might have awning to prevent me from getting wet. Also, it is extremely hard to eat inside Airstream with 4 people; its very small. I see people bringing their own canopy to cook and eat outside so they dont get wet. The Airstreams are a little closer to each other. I see some reviews saying there is no privacy but I think its not too bad but it would be better if they could separate the airstreams a little more. There are a lot of cats running around. I'm not sure if the cats are stray cats or someone's pet. We see some wild turkeys running between the Airstream, which is interesting. Clubhouse offers free yoga class in the morning. I don't have an EV but I do see EV chargers onsite near the clubhouse (maybe 4 or 5 chargers). I also see a Tesla charging site in Mariposa near a local supermarket called Pioneer. The supermarket is around 10 mins drive from Autocamp. This supermarket is actually pretty big where you can also buy charcoal, fire logs, or any of your bbq/cooking needs. Overall, we had some fun but not the best experience as what I was hoping for per their advertisement. Would I go back to try it one more time? I'm not sure yet, but if I do go back to Autocamp, I might book a cabin and see if the experience would be better.

Throughout our stay the staff were brusk and unhelpful, without one offer of assistance for my partner who was on crutches post-surgery at the time of our visit despite a seemingly neverending buggy carousel lapping the grounds. The Airstream itself is fine, though visibly tired now with water damage to the floor outside the bathroom and a less-than-healthy looking extractor vent alongside other signs of wear and tear. We'd have been willing to look past most of this and chalk our experience down as 'OK' if it wasn't for the post-checkout experience. Good luck ever retrieving any lost property if you happen to forget anything at Autocamp; the automated lost property system isn't worth the code its written on and the front desk email address is now totally uncommunicative. 'Not my problem' seemed to be the mantra during and after our stay which is a far cry from the luxury experience promised

We arrived to mayhem, the check in desk was just chaotic, there weren't many people there but the two staff on the desk were trying to avoid speaking to guests. They didn't give you the impression that they knew what they were doing. We were told that despite arriving an hour later than our agreed check in time we would have to wait as our airstream wasn't ready. We sat in the fly infested bar/cafe for two hours and waited, we weren't offered a drink nor explanation for the delay. Eventually, the receptionist thrust a key card in our hands told us the room number and got rid of us. We found the airstream OK, just one plate in the cupboard, not well equipped but reasonably pleasant. The biggest issue for me is the tightly packed layout, the small outside area is too close to the neighbours either side, it is uncomfortably close. Staying 3 nights we had expected fresh towels and bathroom paper but nothing was offered, no explanation of where to take trash or how to use the airstream. Check out was extraordinary, we stood at the desk and said good morning, but were blatantly ignored by two receptionists intent on doing anything except acknowledging us. The only words uttered by them was 'you're good to go' I told them they were rude, they yelled at me to close the door on my way out. We are used to being asked 'did you enjoy your stay?' At check out, but not here! Good luck autocamp, the concept is great, the execution is flawed and will fail by the fact that you won't get repeat guests. We won't be coming back.

We stayed at Autocamp Yosemite for three nights whilst hiking in the park. We'd read previous reviews and understood that the airstreams are a lot closer together than they appear in the photos. That was fine, and our one had its external seating area at the back that made it feel more private as we were away from the road. The issue is not really the proximity of cabins but the number of them. They're really shoe-horned in so there are people and kids everywhere.  The airstream themselves are well designed, quite a nice place to stay for a couple of nights (three probably pushed it) and the cleaning staff that scoot around in little buggies were really helpful and couldn't do more for you if you asked. The BIG problem with autocamp Yosemite lies in the central pavilion. It's sharply designed but the service in there is atrocious. The swimming pool was supposed to be operational when we visited but was closed. The food offering is paltry, a tiny dollop of mac and cheese came in a silver foil reheat container.  The biggest negative however are that the staff in reception are plain rude. We arrived at 4.20pm (check-in is from 4pm) and were rudely and dismissively told to wait in the reception area for our airstream to be ready. We weren't told how long we might have to wait even when we went back up to get an estimate after half an hour. If we'd known we could have gone off and done something. 90 minutes later they called our name, no apology or anything, just a brisk explanation where the airstream was and told where to go and park.  Worse still came at check out. We left at 7.30am on Thursday 12th October. I write the specific time and date so that the two people on reception that morning might be informed about how horribly rude they were to us. The receptionist was seated in front of a computer at the desk, seemingly her manager was standing behind her and they were both very focused on the screen. We walked in with a cheery "Good morning", they didn't look up. We said we were checking out. They spoke to us to say to hold on. They continued to stare at the screen, point, huff, and discuss something with each other. Finally, and I mean finally, it seemed like an age, they looked up. The only thing the grumpy receptionist said was "six?" Acknowledging the airstream number we had stayed in. She then focused back on the screen and told us we had paid everything. There was no "how was your stay?" "Did you enjoy Yosemite?" "Where are you heading next?" It felt like we'd interrupted something very important and were a real inconvenience.  In fact everything related to the reception block makes you feel like you are a real inconvenience. In contrast to the cleaners, the reception people go out of their way to do as little as possible for you. It's a shame, the stay was OK, not great but sort of what we'd expected, but the end was awful, rude, dismissive and unacceptable. It's the end that stays with you. It's the end that leads to a review that advises others that it may not be all that the photos make it out to be. Such a pity, and so easily resolved with a little politeness and acknowledgement that the receptionists are only there because the guests choose to spend their money and stay. Ultimately, a bit of retraining wouldn't go amiss

Mixed feelings. I did have a good time cooking campfire dinners at Autocamp but the rest about this place is just a disappointment. 1. They’re clearly short staffed on not only housekeeping but also general maintenance and front desk staff. There is always a long waiting line at their front desk. We waited 15 minutes in line for checking-in and another 65 minutes to get our room ready, not to mention we arrived at 5:30pm well past their normal check-in time of 4pm. 2. No cellular signal at the site that really frustrates me a lot. 3. They cramp in too many camp cars, the amount of smoke from campfires during dinner time is unbearable. 4. Unfriendly staff. The major reason why I won’t be staying at this place again in the future. 5. Don’t expect a clean autocamp waiting for you, bring your own towels and food. The air filter is so dirty that we won’t even dare to turn on the thermostat. This place charges 5 stars resort kind of price on food and other things that you need for campfire cooking. $18 s’more is just hard for me to forget. 6. Bring flash light! They did provide electric camp lantern that they never care to charge it and they don’t have spared ones. How ridiculous. 7. My advice: Turn around and look for other place to stay.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have good experience at AutoCamp. We we were excited to go glamping, but just not with AutoCamp Yosemite again. We arrived at auto camp at around 5pm and didn’t get a room until 6:48pm. We were already very tired from traveling and wanted to rest, but auto camp couldn’t accommodate that which is a disappointment. The staff member didn’t apologize but gave the attitude made the experience far worse. The entire property I feel did not maintain well. The lake, the grass, the ground. The camp van has dirty air fan filter, the shower floor is slippery and moldy, the windows and screens are filthy, the faucets can be cleaned with brush and cleaner. Things were broken such as the bathroom fan and the outdoor lamp. There were stains on bed sheets and towel, and I don’t see bedsheet folding mark on them. I had skin rush staying here. The convenient store has everything but was expensive. The front desk always have long line so prepare to wait. You have to walk to the lobby and stay in line for minutes if you need something. The camp ground is smoky and smell like burning in the evening due to everyone making fires. I wish AutoCamp can make more effort in cleaning each van, and improve the camp ground such as mulching and trimming the plants so the property looks better. Possible pave the road so it’s easier for those who stay upper hill to safely get to their van. And maybe train the front desk members to be more polite.

We just came back from 2 nights at the autocamp. Overall the experience was OK, but the lack of maintenance for those of us that stay in tents was obvious and disappointing. The AC in the tent didn't cool anything. The problem was the filter in the back of the unit was totally clogged with dust and the unit was covered in dirt. We cooked on the fire pit the first night and used the cutting board, knife and tongs. We went to the front desk to ask what we should do with the dirty items. The front desk said someone would come and get them. They were still there when we checked out this morning, two days later. The shower/bathroom facilities are gross. The toilet rooms have feces and dirt on the walls, mold and crud on the floor. The showers are moldy, have faulty faucets, no toiletries, empty bottles, Many of the bottles at the sinks are empty. I don't think we will stay with you again nor recommend this to anyone.

Where do I even BEGIN. if your thinking of a relaxing nature experience , forget about it!it’s like Disneyland - full of loud kids that ruin the experience of being in the wilderness and trying to disconnect from city life . The amount of noise pollution from the kids is awful. I counted 20 kids in the pool. The facilities and customer service are basic. What you see on the website is NOT what it looks like in person , they are extremely deceiving. The airstreams are all packed together , zero privacy , maybe 20ft apart. the internet was down the first day , and second day so getting any work done was impossible. The second day no electricity and no water ! Overall it should be marketed for families not For adults without children. EXTREMELY UNDERSTAFFED ! It’s a shame because the website makes it look so peaceful and enjoying . They don’t show the crowded airstreams nor a single child or family in the pictures. Hospitality is a zero ! To get a refund was like pulling teeth! This place is not for couples seeking a relaxing nature experience nor does it meet the standards of what they are charging. I’ve stayed at under canvas and it’s a better choice.
