Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights in early February. The location of the hotel is convenient as it is only a short cab ride from the airport, and it is 15 minute walk to the Marina as well as to the beach at Venice. There are many restaurants located close to the hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious, quiet, and well maintained. The free internet access in the room was appreciated as we had brought our lap-top computer with us. The staff at reception was very friendly. The breakfast was more than adequate, and the food and coffee tasted great. By using the hotel's rental bicycles, we were able to travel a long distance along the beach. We would definitely recommend this hotel to other persons interested in visiting Marina Del Rey, Venice, or Santa Monica.

We stopped in on Friday afternoon on the President's Day weekend without a reservation. We were told we could have the last available room-a queen suite for $200 for the night. Free wifi, free parkade parking, free breakfast, hot tub (not very hot) & pool. We gladly accepted! Great, friendly & accommodating service from all the front desk staff! And a nice, spacious room with 2 flat screen TV's, a queen bed and a pull-out sofa, fridge, & microwave too! The bad part was that the room had 2 large windows-one right beside the bed, and one beside the sofa. These windows opened to a corridor between rooms that was not designed for walking through, but anyone could step over the 4inch barrier & take a short-cut through to the other side. The curtains did not cover the entire

My husband and I recently spent 6 nights at this hotel. We asked for a quiet room and not only had a very quiet room, but we were upgraded to a suite that worked out beautifully for us. The continental breakfast was great and oh so convenient. We especially liked the outdoor patio with their comfy seats and the staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming. The location could not have been better for us. We will definitely stay there again. Oh, and the bed was fabulous...slept like a baby every night!

I stayed in the room pictured here and the hotel itself was lovely and clean. The problem was the hotel seems to be frequented by the vacation party hardy crowd and the noise at night was extremely disruptive. Loud drunks were roaming the halls banging on doors till 2:30 in the morning. I was there on business and it was unacceptable. After loud music all night and partying the couple next door had romantic relations that were inescapable, ICK GROSS!!!!!!! Despite the attractive hotel the clientele make it an unacceptable choice.

We stayed here for a few nights on our arrival in LA and it was easy to find, just the thing after a long flight, parking was undercover and free. The service was friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The room was recently refurbished and was excellent, free wifi was included, in fact this was the only hotel that did this the others charged for it. The location was very good , it took us about 20mins to walk to the beach and provided a good base to do the site seeing we wanted to do, Universal studios, Beverley Hills etc. We would recommend it and would stay there again.

We took a very last minute trip to L.A. for some Pacific Standard Time art events and booked this hotel over the phone, thinking we were booking Jamaica Bay, where we'd stayed in the past. We were a little surprised when I verified the address on the way over there, but we decided to keep an open mind. We asked for a king bed when we phoned and were given a queen with a sitting area instead. Brad on the front desk let us compare the two room types so we could decide. We went with the larger room and smaller bed. All pictures on Tripadvisor are accurate. For a very reasonable rate you get so many amenities: free parking, free Internet, free breakfast, small workout room with good equipment, complimentary coffee and tea, modern and well-equipped room with fridge and microwave,

We stayed at this hotel because it is part of the Pacifica Hotels family. I have never gone wrong with them. From the time we walked in, we were greeted at the front desk by a friendly, courteous, and professional employee (Brad) that did a great job of making sure we were taken care properly. Great first impression. The room was spacious and clean, it breaks up the bedroom area, sofa area, entry, and bathroom area. Bedroom closes off from the sofa and bathroom area for privacy. Very nice for the price paid. Breakfast was typical continental items with make your own waffles and toast. Good enough to hold til lunch later on. Will definitely return to this hotel if we come back for another medical appt at UCLA Santa Monica Clinic.
