Hotel's Favourite
A friend and I stayed here for two nights while visiting Universal. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is very close to The Hollywood Bowl and about a 5 minute drive from Universal studios. My only complaint is the breakfast buffet was $25.99. That’s a little steep since I don’t eat a big breakfast. I ordered French toast off the menu since it was cheaper . It tasted fine. I do prefer a continental breakfast but it wasn’t available at HG. I would stay again just for the convenience. I don’t know about parking because we didn’t have a car. We used Uber. Overall it was a great stay!

This hotel offers great customer service and the location is perfect if your touring Hollywood. Hollywood Blvd is just a couple of blocks away and you will feel safe at this location. The General Manager Alfonso Torres and the Front Office Manager Alicia Zavala really tried to ensure our 2-night stay was enjoyable by meeting my request. The rooms are clean and the restaurant and bar are nice for a Hilton Garden Inn. I wish the bar would stay open longer because each night we got back it was already closed unfortunately.
If you attending a show at the Hollywood Bowl you can't get much more convenient than this hotel. You can easily walk there to check out the Bowl or attend a concert or event and feel safe doing so. You don't have to worry about traffic or parking cost associated with the Hollywood Bowl.
We have eaten at their restaurant many times for breakfast and the staff has been there for years and are very friendly and provide great service! I wish I could recall all of their names because they deserve the recognition.
The parking fee is about $40 per day but the valet service is good and the people who work there are friendly. They have a outdoor pool and a small business center for their guest.
When booking at this location make sure to see if they have a AAA, AARP or military/government rate if you qualify for any of these discounts. For safety, location and convenience it's tough to beat this hotel in Hollywood.

Very clean, updated rooms. Breakfast was included in our rate and was way beyond standard continental breakfast: delicious, high quality omelettes, waffles, and pancakes made to order. Additional buffet with the standards (scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, etc). All day coffee and lemon water in the lobby and afternoon cookies at the front desk. Skip the pricey valet lot and park on a nearby side street or a public lot, if necessary. This area of Hollywood is a little sketchy but we parked on a nearby street and our rental car as fine. There were several people sleeping on the streets nearby (including a man sleeping on the outdoor property of this hotel) but there are many hotels in this area and there were enough people on the streets that I did not feel unsafe walking at night. This hotel was in walking distance of everything we wanted to see on our short visit to LA. The staff at this hotel was very helpful on several occasions: I asked if it was safe to run to Runyon Canyon alone at 7 am (yes and I had a beautiful run), valet gave us sugestions for alternative/cheaper parking, front desk stored our luggage for several hours after we checked out, etc. My first complaint is that the entire first floor and lobby were under major renovations and there were many areas closed off. It would have been nice if the hotel had informed us of this ahead of time or offered a reduced rate but, overall, it did not impact our stay. My second is that our 6th floor room faced the street, where many large trucks came barreling down the road at all hours. Had I thought ahead I would have requested a room on the other side of the building or brought ear plugs. No one else in my family was bothered, however.

Lovely hotel lovely poo BUT dont expect to have any kind of lie in .. the cleaners start cleaning at about 8am crashing and banging and vacuuming … other guests super inconsiderate shouting and slamming doors from 7:15am
So dont expect a lie in, expect an awful wake up with no consideration from other guests or the cleaners.
The guest laundry is $4 for the washer and $4 for the dryer
The tide washing powder is $2
The parking is $45 a night
So you would expect the amount your paying for everything, you might have a nice lie in.

Be warned. The staff is pretty nice but the hotel is under major construction and VERY hard for ride share to pick up or drop off as the hotel is on a 3 lane south bound with very heavy traffic. It's a terrible location to drive or get into. The website shows a nice pool, but it's under construction and you can't use it. So your paying for something you can't use. If you get a renovated room, it's very nice. But the walls are kind of thin if your neighboring room is having a partly or loud music. As we experienced one of our nights there and had to complain twice. It's not really worth the price if you look around but the staff were very nice to us, and just didn't match the issues of the actual location itself and the many renovations going on. The location is in short distance to the Hollywood walk of fame... very tourist heavy, so walking to that area is very easy. Just don't drive...

This is in a gritty part of LA (Hollywood) so some bad things are expected, but their poor response is why I rate them 1 star.
First night we were there someone vomited in the parking lot, 2 days later it is there not and not cleaned up despite several people telling them about it.
Toilet was leaking and i reported it first night, two nights later still not fixed.
Property was also a bit run down and needs to be rejuvenated.
Parking is $25 but in an unprotected and unlocked lot. People park their during the day so even though the hotel is half empty its hard to get parking spot you paid for.
Avoid.

My family and I stayed 4 nights at this hotel for leisure. This hotel was a short walk from a lot of the main attractions in Hollywood. We walked to the Pantages theater to see The Lion King and the Hollywood walk of fame. It was also close driving distance to the Griffith Observatory, downtown L.A, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and Venice Beach. Every staff member that we came into contact with was very nice and helpful. Our room was a standard hotel room which looked like it had been updated within the past few years. Our room was cleaned daily and I appreciated that the housekeeper rolled up my child's blanket and propped her stuffed animal on top. I liked that the snacks area was open 24 hours. There was a security guard present in the evening time outside. The valet workers were always very nice and quick to retrieve our car. It was a bummer to have to pay extra for the parking but I was happy to have someone watching over the parking lot at all times. The pool area was very nice. I would definitely stay at this hotel in the future.

Hollywood area was our last stop for our 8-day summer trip with the kids.
Staying at the Garden Inn was peaceful and smooth. The room was spotless and ready.
The air conditioning was great and all the inclusive appliances were clean and operational. The bathroom lighting was ideal and spacious enough.
The wallpaper with the Hollywood sign was perfect and the two queen bed were tacked and neatly placed. Room lightings and USB charging options are available beside the both beds.

Hotel is in good location . Walking distance to Hollywood Blvd.
Breakfast is offered at $18 p.p. Free cookies at check in.
The rooms were nice- we stayed in a renovated room on the 6th floor. Beds are DOUBLE not QUEEN. We had a
Lovely view of the pool and fenced off construction area with old toilets and bathroom counters/ sinks/ junk.
The parking fees are ridiculous at $40 per night. The hotel itself is under construction which Hilton does not advise you of in advance. The front lobby almost completely blocked off except small area to check in. Most areas in the main floor are blocked off. The elevators are ancient.
Staff is polite but not overly friendly.
For the price we paid for the room next time I will stay just down the street at the Lowes Hotel. There are better options.

I am not sure what to think about this hotel but I will give it a shot.
Good points to start with,
Check in was good and the gentleman who did this was very nice and got us sorted quickly.
The rest of the staff are polite and professional.
The location is very good and is a 5 minute walk to the walk of fame etc etc.
They have an outside pool and jacuzzi.
No shuttle bus… COVID is blamed on everything.
Not so good points.
Breakfast finishes at 9am and is over priced at almost $20.
The rooms are dark and the second room we moved to after I complained about the noise from 2 rooms beside and across from us having a party all night and they were still at it the next day until we were moved ( very quickly I may add ) at 5pm.
The second room is a lot more quite but we have found enough hair to fill a pillow at this point and have 2 days to go.
The area around the hotel is very dirty with homeless people everywhere openly smoking crack on every corner.
DO NOT USE THE HOLLYWOOD STORE across the street beside the Subway food store, he is twice the price of the 7-11 a little further down towards the walk of fame, a local person told us this and he is right.
We got $10 each towards breakfast and it goes nowhere near getting breakfast at the hotel,
I used it to buy over priced bottles of beer at reception @ $8 a shot just to use up the credit, they charge $4 for a small candy bar.
Overall we can’t wait to leave this overpriced place @ around $300 a night plus $20 breakfast each.
I would really recommend you stay a little further away from here and feel safe , especially if you are travelling with children.

No, it is not FREE parking. They rip you off by charging $45 to park here if you are a guest. Find a hotel with free parking. I do not recommend staying at this hotel. They do not have good customer service either. Not sure if that is $45 per day because I only stayed for a few hours and had to leave at 4 am to catch my flight.
No shuttle service to the airport or area attractions. LAX airport is across town from this location. Be sure to factor in traffic.
