Stayed there for 4 nights after travelling around the world with my friends. Hotel was good, the manager was very helpful and nice to us, he took care of everything if there was something we didn't like. Very good internet. Could be in a better neighbourhood but it was very close to the metro station so it was all right :).

Not the best place I have stayed, but a bed and bathroom in L.A for $55 is not awful. Could have been a bit cleaner. Luckily didn't have a car as others have stated - no parking. It's fine for a quick stay over but not sure I'd want more than 1 night.

I stay here quite a bit for work. the rates are fair and it is a convenient location for the subway to downtown. the rooms are clean and the staff is courteous. there is a locked door to the building entry which your room key card will open. cable television, highspeed WIFI and in room refrigerator. washing machines and stove/kitchen area in lobby. I don't understand the bad reviews, I've stayed at Antonio several times off and on over an 8 month period and I've never had a problem. would definitely recommend staying here if you are on a budget. will be staying here every time Im in L.A.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed . Room is terribly dirty very rude front desk employees . Check out the pictures you will understand how dirty rooms are . Room was smelling cigarette. There was fungus on the corner of the bed and all dirty marks on the bed . Shower doesn’t work properly . And the worst part is when we went to complain about to the front desk . Instead of listening our complain the lady on the front desk started arguing with us saying that we are the only one who complained about the room . Very unprofessional didn’t even say sorry . I wish health department checks this hotel

HORRIBLE. Do not book unless you want something worse than a motel. Needed something last minute and mistakenly booked this place. Upon arrival, the hotel manager misunderstood something and began yelling at us. We immediately returned the key within minutes of arrival and did not stay. Rooms were as small as a closet and dirty. Antonio refused to give a refund and even lied!!!!!

Please please please do not stay here. upon arrival my son went to the mcdonalds next door and was jumped by to guys, if my son did not know how to defend himself he would be dead right now. Even when the lady at the hotel knew what happened and knew we wouldn't be staying there she still insisted on charging us for the room. This place is bad bad news. Gang infested inside the hotel and out. I am trying to get this hotel off trip advisors booking list. I just don't want to hear of someone booking this hotel and getting hurt or even killed. It not worth it. Please Please Please Do not go here. Any questions feel free to contact me at drish7@msncom and please spread the word.
Thank you
Claudette Sanders

I booked this hotel room for my daughter to attend an event. I wasn't there personally so I can't comment on the cleanliness of the property but I can tell you I was terrified for her safety! On her second night in the hotel I got a phone call in the middle of the night from her and she was hysterical because someone came in to her room. She was sleeping and her hotel door opened and a man walked in, looked around and left. Obviously this woke her up and she was terrified for her safety. She hid under the covers and called me whispering what had happened. I put her on hold and found the hotels main number. When I explained to the man what had happened and asked him to go and check it out he said there's no way that could have happened because there are cameras everywhere. I went back to my daughter on the other line and told her this but she was crying so hard and so afraid because there was still noises at her door. I went back to the hotel switchboard and spoke to the man again (manager I think?) and insisted that he go and check. I listened on the phone with my daughter and heard him knock on the door and then as he explained to her something completely different than what he had told me. He said that one of the other guests forgot his room key so the he gave him a master key. Why would you give a guest a MASTER KEY????? The guest was "confused" about what room was his. This is complete and utter BS and an accident/lawsuit waiting to happen. We live in Pennsylvania and my daughter was in this hotel in California. What was I supposed to do if something had happened while I was listening on the phone? Absolutely unbelievable. She asked if she could check out a little later so she could get a little sleep because obviously she wasn't able to sleep for quite a while after this incident. They gave her 2 hours and told her if she needed more time it would be $75. You can expect that a budget priced hotel wouldn't be the Hilton but everyone deserves and should expect that they will at least be SAFE while in the room. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

Let's get one thing straight from the beginning. This hotel is a no frills great place to sleep. It is not a resort, or a spa, or a mall or a bar/restaurant/ food place. You go there to sleep, and that's it.

That having been said, it accomplishes the task very well with a modest yet clean decor, small, but sanitary bathrooms, and a quiet, if poor, surrounding neighborhood.

The absolute best part of the experience is the staff, primarily the owner. Do not be deterred because he is not a cookie-cutter Disney kool-aide drinker. The man is matter of fact and to the point, but when you need something he's your guy.

My dumb self has originally booked a stay for 4 nights, but after getting to LA and realizing that my flight was set to leave a day early, I found that I no loger needed the 4th night.

After explaining it to the owner, he understood and he agreed to refund me the 4th night, no problem. I have stayed at a variety of hotels, from the Marriott to the Ritz Carlton, and I can tell you, without question, that every time I have faced a similar scenario at other places, I have been told the same thing: "Sorry, no refunds, corporate policy"

The fact that at this hotel I was dealing with a living breathing human being, and not some corporate monolith, was absolutely the best I could have asked for in terms of customer service. Yes, the hotel is not luxurious, but I would stay here everytime I came to LA, without question.

It is difficult to evaluate such hotel because there is no positive point to talk about. Not even the local of the hotel was good because I heard the sirens of the police during all night, it is amazing. It was dirty, smelly and awful!
