The Hoxton, DTLA sits in a 10-storey Beaux Arts beauty in fast-growing South Park just by Broadway's Theatre District. All 174 rooms come with chevron floors, burl wood furniture and House of Hackney prints - a nod to The Hoxton's East London roots - plus waterfall showers, Blank products, free calls, free wifi and daily breakfast bags delivered to your door. And because it's LA, our rooftop pool is open all year round. For food and drink, we have three spots to choose from. Try Sibling Rival, our all-day diner serving up seasonal twists on American classics. Fancy a late-night tipple? Our buzzing basement bar, Tokyoko, will answer the call. Then there's Pilot, our rooftop restaurant and pool with sweeping views over Broadway.

Nestled in the heart of Downtown LA, The Hoxton wins over guests with its unique vintage charm and stylish decor. While its convenient location is a plus for exploring nearby attractions, some visitors have concerns about the neighborhood. The hotel's rooms are celebrated for their design and comfort, although noise and lighting issues have been flagged by a few.
Service at The Hoxton generally receives high marks, despite occasional lapses in responsiveness. However, unexpected additional fees have left some questioning the value. Amenities, including the rooftop pool and high-end toiletries, along with the hotel's cleanliness, consistently impress travelers.

Room was great. Loved the shower pressure and layout of the room. The attention to detail to keeping your room services during your stay was that of hotels where you spend ten times as much. Staff was courteous and attentive. Restaurant on the roof was amazing!

The Hoxton is styled very nicely, from the ground floor lobby, Moonlark's restaurant, guest rooms, and rooftop pool, bar, and Cabra restaurant. I had several hours to kill with a local friend, and we enjoyed a meal at Moonlark's and then hanging out at the bar on the rooftop and never were made to feel like we were imposing or in the way.
Customer service was excellent: every employee I interacted with was friendly and helpful.
The hotel's location is convenient if attending an event at the Belasco or Mayan theatres (the reason for my visit). I rated this four, rather than five stars, only because pockets of downtown LA can be described as a little sketchy, but that doesn't bother me personally. I booked a "Cozy" room for my solo stay and it was plenty spacious enough, with high-end toiletries. The bed was comfortable, temperture control in the room worked fine, and I really dug the Marshall amp-style bluetooth speaker.
Noise insulation in the room was a little lacking, with sounds from the outside, as well as an amorous guest in another room being audible. It definitely helped having the bluetooth speaker to play sleep sounds from my phone to help dampen those sounds. I'd also suggest adding a luggage rack, for a place to put luggage other than the floor.
I do not usually stay at hotels of this caliber (or price) but for this trip, location was the #1 priority and the Hoxton ended up providing me with much more than just a place to sleep and shower.

I stayed at The Hoxton during Anime Expo 2024 and it was one of the best decisions I made for my trip! The service was amazing thanks to the staff that listened to a lot of my inquires. The location is also really good since much of the notable areas are within walking distance. The Hoxton also has both a restaurant and a breakfast diner that serve very good food that is worth the price. Highly recommend!

5 night stay in September 2023 as part of a mother/daughter USA trip. Had previously enjoyed a great stay at Hoxton Shoreditch, Hoxton DTLA didn't disappoint. Smooth checkin , arrived AM off the 7.30am flight from Australia and room was available (with no request for xtra $ as has happened in other USA hotels).
Room (Biggy - twin) was delightful, vintage style, views of DTLA skyline (including old Hearst Newspaper building), practical seperate shower, toilet and vanity, 2 comfortable chairs and table , full size kettles mugs and good tea selection. Additional tinned water for fridge and tea bags could be requested anytime from Reception.
There is a lovely bar and seating area, great roof top pool and loungers (perfect after a long day out) . Cabra ,the roof top restaurant had great food, great vibe and excellent service at reasonable prices.
The location is great, easy walk to most things in DTLA including 7th Street/Metro Centre for getting around town (direct lines to Universal and Santa Monica). #4 bus to Union station is just steps away. When leaving town in a rental car just a trip around the block to join the freeway and you are off.
Staff were relaxed ( in a good way) , polite, kind and informative, making you always feel very welcome. Loved this hotel ! Will be back.

I frequently drive from San Diego to shows at the Belasco and the Mayan, so this hotel is in a perfect location to crash for the night. I loved the room service and the little breakfast bag. Valet was straightforward. I’ll be back for a longer stay because I feel like I missed out on the restaurant and just taking in more of LA with this posh little hotel to come back to. As a solo female traveler, this place hit all my marks. The room I stood in was also very chic and photogenic. Ladies, get your bright room photo face on and make sure to take the perfect flat lay photograph of your cute little coffee and croissant!

I wish I could give this hotel a good review, but there were many disappointments. First of all, there were some weird things about the room. In trying to be cool, certain things were just annoying, like the light switches which were unique, but hard to use. There was also a water kettle and tea bags with coffee in them, but there was no creamer in the room, not even dried creamer. I can appreciate that the hotel is in a converted building, but the way the toiled and showers were set up, there was little privacy. We were give two aluminium cans of water. Then there was this scent in the elevator that was so strong it was nauseating. The AC in our room was broken. They said they fixed it and brought us a fan, but it never worked. But the worst part was that on a Saturday night after traveling all day to get there, we were told all they had were snacks in the bar area and that we couldn't have dinner upstairs without a reservation. After we walked to The Proper and had an outstanding meal, I looked to make a reservation for the following night at The Hoxton. When I logged on, I saw that there were plenty of openings for both Saturday and Sunday. Finally, on Sunday morning I went downstairs to get a cup of coffee, and they had no coffee bar. What hotel doesn't have a coffee station for their guests who get up early? I know there was coffee in the room, but I would have woken up my husband to make it. They said that they had no barrista and that I had to wait for the restaurant to open to get a coffee. It was lots of little things that added up to a stay that was largely disappointing.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the rooms were very nice and clean. The decorations were unique and fun. The shower was roomy with great water pressure and the option for overhead or handheld faucets. The rooftop Peruvian restaurant had a great view and delicious food. The breakfast cafe was also delicious. They were very accommodating and let us store our luggage the day we left for several hours while we explored the city.

Small room, we couldn't keep two suitcases open at once. Hotels in a bad part of L.A., expensive parking compared to the average of other hotels, terrible room service: 40 dollars for room service + 30 for the meal... served on a paper plate... exaggerated!!!!!!

This hotel is located in the Downtown area of LA and in my opinion it is really very nice. We arrived a little before the check in time and they offered us a room upgrade for $24 since it was already ready (instead of waiting for ours until 3pm). The room was really very beautiful, with attention to every detail, with all the comforts you will need. The girl who welcomed us at the reception, Christine, was really nice: she even left us a to do list of the most beautiful things to do in the area (made by her) and thanks to this list, we discovered an excellent restaurant in Malibu!
For parking: just leave your car in front of the hotel, there is a person 24 hours a day who will take it to the guarded car park ($50 per day) and who will bring it back to you in 2 minutes as soon as you need it. We will definitely be back!

My stay at the Hoxton Downtown,LA was great. The room was very spacious for a solo traveler or a couple and was well maintained which isn’t very common for a lot of hotels. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The location is perfect for anyone coming into town for an event near downtown LA.

It's $30 if you book via an outside travel agent or website not our own, or only $20 if you book direct with us on our website. Let me know if any other questions!
