My husband and I are local, and planned to visit th Grammy Museum so we decided to make a "staycation" out of it with an overnight stay at the Hotel Figueroa. What a gem. The whole place felt so unique. The staff was warm and welcoming and we were treated to an upgrade to their "Rest and Relaxation" Suite. It had plenty of space and included it's own exercise equipment and several other unique touches.
We also enjoyed the dining at the Sparrow which opens right out to the pool. Even though it was cold and rainy the heaters kept us warm and we enjoyed the view of the pool with the firepits blazing.
If we ever decide to stay in downtown LA again, we will definitely choose to stay here. Hopefully, a time when it's much warmer so we can enjoy that pool!

We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights at the Hotel Figueroa. The historic building is so beautiful - with elegant furnishings, modern conveniences and sublime artworks throughout. We enjoyed breakfast one day at the Fig cafe and throughout our stay the service was very good. The pool and outdoor space is lovely and the location was really handy too. Our suite was a reasonable size, filled with stylish furniture, with a great bathroom and surprisingly quiet so we slept very well. We enjoyed the fun party here at New Year’s Eve. Only tiny criticism is that the parking is expensive but we really loved this hotel and would be thrilled to stay again!

Even though our drive to Hotel Figueroa started out as a stressful one, The Hotel Staff, and specifically Manny at the front desk did everything possible to make sure our stay was blissful. Without hesitation they switched us to a bigger room away from the elevators so we could be more comfortable. We inquired about staying another night and they offered to price match a last minute deal that was picked up on a travel site. Seeing how frazzled we were, they graciously offered us two complimentary welcome cocktails which helped kick us into relaxation mode. We spent most of the following day swimming and relaxing in the gorgeously decorated outdoor lounge/pool area. It was a Spanish oasis completely hidden from the concrete jungle just steps away. Truly magical and should not be missed. We had to cut our trip short but we will most certainly be back. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the beautiful Hotel Figueroa and thank you for your patience, service, and providing us with exceptional experience.. Cheers!

This is an older historic hotel with a long history so its expected to have an old building feel. It was a pleasant stay non-the less though the room i received was very small, at times felt claustrophobic. There is limited counter space in the bathroom so toiletries end up on the lip of the tub. The room was right off the main stairway so often the sound of people walking and talking from the stairs and hallway can get loud and disturbing. The elevators takes its sweet time to arrive so that can account for why people take the stairs. I particularly did not care for having to go to a different floor to access ice machines especially when the elevators are slow, and you have to take stairs. That was inconvenient. Parking is $$$ and no discount is offered for hotel guests.

This was my second stay at Hotel Figueroa. I was here on business and the hotel was recommended by the company that hired me. The downtown location is perfect. The property is beautifully renovated -one of the highlights for me is the great art collection that changes so there is always something new to see. My room, which had one double bed, was small but nicely decorated and well laid out. My one complaint is that the room did not have a chair so I had to work sitting on my bed. I'm sure if I asked for a chair, someone would have supplied it and there were common areas where I could have worked so it wasn't a deal breaker. The staff were uniformly helpful, courteous and cheerful. When I had a problem with room service (they forget one item in my order), it was corrected and the charge was removed from my bill as a courtesy. The food is truly excellent. The fitness center is very small and did not have the treadmill that was advertised on the hotel website, nor was there fresh fruit (also advertised). But what it did have was two brand new Peleton bikes and a great view out the window and that kind of made up for the missing treadmill and fruit.
One final issue I had both times I've stayed here- the price of the room can fluctuate dramatically from one night to the next. The price on the first night of this stay was more than double the price of the remaining nights and there seemed to be no rhyme or reason to it. It was not a holiday and my stay was 5 days.
All things considered, a unique property with lovely decor, helpful staff, and fabulous food. I will definitely stay here again when I return to LA.

The Peloton bikes are a pretty recent addition that took the place of our treadmill, I will address this with out upper management team so they may correct the information online. Our rates and availability are highly influenced by the surrounding events ( conventions, concerts, sporting events, etc) so they can fluctuate quite a bit. I highly recommend speaking to Sandra Pineda in our sales department to see if your company already has a negotiated rate, or to see if there is anything she can help arrange for you. We were going to a hockey game and this hotel was less than a 5 minute walk from Staples Centre. Check in was quick. Parking is simple. There is valet parking for $45 with in and out privileges or park your own car in a private lot next door for $30, but no in and out privileges. Our room was a deluxe king and it was a bit small, but clean and nicely decorated. I loved the bed linens and found the bed comfortable (a bit firm) and I loved the pillows, but my husband found them too soft. During our stay only 1 elevator was working, which made for long waits. There is a complimentary breakfast (continental) with pastries, bagels, toast, fruit, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, cereal, juice and coffee. It's quite good, but both days we were there it got so busy in the breakfast area that people couldn't find anywhere to sit down to eat. We had one dinner at the hotel restaurant called Breva and we were very happy with it. I would recommend this hotel, it had everything we needed.

We had a great overnight stay at this hotel. Our room, a King Suite on the 12th floor overlooking the pool was huge with two rooms and space to entertain 6-8 people. Loved the wallpaper and ceramic tile work in the bathroom as well. We were most warmly received at the front desk by Daniel who was great and willing to handle any questions. The bar and lounge on the first floor are beautiful areas to hang out or meet friends. Cafe Fig, though not owned by the hotel, provides a generous breakfast for Hyatt Globalists (try the wellness shot!). We also had dinner there on their outdoor patio with great service by John who can assist with cocktail suggestions. We also had a very nice lunch at the soul food restaurant Fixin's which is just across the street. They have tasty friend chicken that's crispy but not greasy and also very nicely prepared large and healthful salads. Lastly, the valet parking at $48 plus tax might seem a bit expensive, but if you're going to be in and out, it's well worth it. The valets are all so friendly. You can text message them and our car was always ready within minutes. One of us misplaced our phone and the valets were so helpful, searching the car for us and finding it. We will certainly stay here next time we are in town!

The staff at this hotel were the highlight — from the valet, to the bellman, and especially the receptionists, the service we received IMO was what you’d expect at a hotel that costs twice as much as this one. The original room we received was directly above the lobby, and some of the music was audible through the vents, but Gary and his colleagues went out of their way to move us to a higher room that was quieter. This was despite the the fact that the hotel was near capacity and they were clearly busy.
Note the standard rooms are pretty small, but the hotel is a gorgeously updated property with historical character, especially compared to the other bland big chain hotels near/in the LA Live complex. We also had a delicious dinner at Sparrow, the main hotel restaurant, and I had an incredible cocktail at La Casita (a different restaurant by their pool) that had champagne and mango sorbet in it that I can’t stop thinking about.
We’ll definitely be returning to Hotel Figueroa the next time we visit DTLA!

The room is very small. Even with one double bed. The bathroom is tiny with a tub and the vanity provides no space for toiletries. The room is very noisy with both street noise and room to room noise and the corridor as well. There are multiple flashing lights in the room that are annoying. The desk is not functional. It’s part dresser and part desk, is mounted too high on the wall to work at comfortably with the desk chair that is not a desk chair and then the tv comes pretty far off the wall and is right in your face. It’s very dark at night. The view is bad. The finishes are nice enough, but don’t come close to compensating for the other deficiencies. The service is not great and the restaurant is a disappointment.
