Venice Breeze Suites offers charming small apartments front row to Venice Beach, making it an ideal place to stay if you want to experience the charming part of LA.

🏠 - Charming Apartments
The small apartments are super charming and well equipped with everything you need, including a small kitchen with oven, dishwasher and microwave. There is also a nice toilet and the hotel is generally clean and tidy.

🏖️ - Location
The location right on Venice Beach is fantastic – you are only a step away from the beach and all the life that comes with it. However, you must be prepared for a lot of noise at night from the colorful types who stay in the area.

🌅 - Roof terrace
The hotel has a super nice shared roof terrace with a magnificent view over the whole of Venice Beach. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunset.

🚗 - Parking
Parking was super easy. The hotel has a parking garage for 20 dollars for a day, which is significantly cheaper than the parking garage right next door, which charges 50 dollars for 12 hours.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 - Family friendly
The hotel itself is child-friendly, but Venice Beach in the evening can be a bit too much for the little ones. During the day, however, it is a fantastic experience for the whole family.

📍 - Close to Attractions
The hotel is close to the Santa Monica Pier and a number of good restaurants. You can get up early and enjoy the sunrise at Venice Beach, which is a wonderful start to the day.

🛏️ - Beds
The beds are a bit small both in width and length. I'm 1.82 tall, and even though we slept two in the bed, my toes stuck out a little over the edge of the bed. It may be worth considering if you are taller than average.

😊 - Friendly staff
The staff are super nice and helpful. They are happy to give advice on what to see and help with all practical matters.

Venice Breeze Suites is a charming place to stay with a great location and friendly staff. Although the beds could be bigger and there can be noise at night, the many positive aspects outweigh these small drawbacks. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience Venice Beach.

The structure is in the center of Venice beach; the staff was very kind (one guy even spoke Italian) and they gave us some useful advice. We requested to be able to leave our luggage in the facility for one night as we moved to another location and they kept it for free. Really very satisfied

We are a family of 4 that booked a 1 bedroom suite with a sopha bed. On arrival only the main bed was made up and when I asked they said oh we don't make it up for you, you'd need to do that. Really and they knew 4 people were coming? Look in the cupboard they told me. We did and found 2 older sheets and one very thin acrylic blanket which didn't keep the kids warm and only one pillow. It was a futon couch that was very hard and uncomfortable. The main bed was also a very firm bed, but we did sleep just OK on it. The next day when the room was serviced very late, the beds were remade by what looked like a kid honestly terrible job. I had used the toaster/heater the night before which I found hadn't been cleaned since the last people, crumbs everwhere and all over the base of it dirty paper. So I left the door open to ensure they cleaned it. It wasn't touched and the crumbs all over the bench were still there.

WIFI is offered at the hotel, we had one of the back rooms and could get some slow wifi if we stood in the corridor but not in our room. This was disappointing we never would have booked had we reaslised this.

The TV was good and had lots of chanels to watch. Also had a decent enough kitchenette not that we used it. Overall the unit was clean.

Overall this is a very old building, but very clean too and you did feel safe. It has a great roof top area to use and view the beach etc. The walls were thin and you could hear people walking around above your room as they are wooden. It felt more like a good back packers place to me. Maybe I'm just too old to stay there. If you were young and looking for something cheap then it will probably tick the boxes for you. We did have a decent enough stay. There was a mix up on us leaving the morning we were due to go out, I went and asked what time we had to leave, I gave my room number and he checked and said 11 am. Then when we checked out he said, no you actually booked for another night. Was not impressed as it wasted our last day.

Position wise the hotel is on the front in the middle of the strip so it's a great position which is why we stayed there. However be warned, the whole of the front of this beach stip is lined with homeless people. You did feel safe during the day as there was so many people around, but at night time to us it felt pretty sketchy. If you are looking for nicer head more to Santa Monica area. Which was within wallking distance of this hotel.

My husband and I booked Venice Breeze Suites for the night we were staying in Los Angeles as part of our trip down the West Coast. We did not ending up staying the night because of an issue with parking but because they wouldn't refund us, we're going to review what we paid for.

Now, to be completely transparent, Hotels.com does say on the bottom of their page for Venice Breeze Suites, "No Parking" under the parking section. We completely missed that and that's our fault. In all honesty, we travel often (we stayed 26 nights in hotels on this trip alone) and we had never encountered a hotel that had no solution for parking. It was already booked, though, so we called to ask about parking. Whomever we spoke with at the hotel said there are garages nearby, so we thought it would be fine.

On the day of check-in, we called to ask about where the best place to put our car was. We had pulled down the street adjacent to the hotel and seen a parking garage there. The staff at the garage told us they were closing shortly, which wouldn't have been helpful as we had a late dinner reservation and didn't expect to be back with our car until late. We called to see if the front desk had another recommendation. The hotel employee said, "Come in and we'll give you some recommendations when we check you in." I told her we had some luggage to bring in and we couldn't just leave our car in the alley, so I asked if someone could come help with luggage. She again just reiterated that they'll give us some parking info when we check in. I'm not really sure how she expected us to check in without putting our car somewhere and it would be a little ridiculous to expect us to drag our luggage in from blocks away. We told her that didn't really work for us. She said there was nothing she could do.

We called Hotels.com, who confirmed there was nothing they could do because it was a nonrefundable rate. They spoke to Venice Breeze Suites and explained the situation, whose staff still offered no advice with parking or flexibility on the booking because it was nonrefundable.

So we paid $271.15 plus additional in taxes for nowhere to park our car and no way to get our luggage in our room. We ended up booking a room at Hotel Erwin, a few blocks down, which had a valet and had a lovely stay.

Dear WaitForItttt, Than you for your feedback. We are disappointed that you did get to stay with us. Unfortunately, when you book through 3rd party websites, we can not override their refund policy. Regarding the parking, I apologize if the person you spoke with did not provide clear enough instructions. The side street that you pulled into from the alley gives you front door access to the hotel. Guests can temporarily park their car feet away from the front steps. They usually bring their luggage in or can be assisted by our staff. After the guests check in, they are given parking options in the vicinity of the hotel. We outline a map with residential parking and overnight lots. Unfortunately, the parking options at Venice Beach are very limited. Regards, Carlos Torres

Pretty average or a bit below average place. No travel size toiletries, tiny creepy elevator (I was so scared of that old thing that I only used the stairs to carry my toddler and diaper bag up and down... four flights!), cute room, small bed, typical kitchenette, beautiful views of Venice Beach. The fact that it is literally on the boardwalk is the best part, that was super fun. Fridays and Saturdays there are usually great little Mexican snack fruit carts parked right out the entrance. Very close to the famous beach skatepark too. Staff was pleasant and they had baggage storage so we didn't have to lug around our bags for hours before our late night flight. Not stroller or toddler-friendly at all really but you can make it work if you really want to stay here. No stand out amenities and TV is a bit difficult to work. Might book again, might not... nothing to write home about but not horrible either.

Location and accommodation we're very nice, I paid extra for a partial sea view but as we were on the ground floor at the side it was a disappointment. We have stayed here before and had far better view. Area has declined and looks run down and shabby but the view from the roof is great.

The noise at this hotel is off the scale. Don’t be fooled by the photogenic nature of the building.I booked three expensive nights in a suite with sea views at the front of the building. I live in a big noisy city so was not worried about a some street noise but was unprepared for the sheer volume of competing sound systems and music. Firstly a huge sound system on the roof of the neighbouring building began blaring at 2pm at the side window and then a 7 piece street drummers group who literally played the same beats at full pelt for 6 hours straight were positioned outside the front window. The barrage of noise from the side and front simultaneously made me feel like I was going insane. We had to walk around Venice beach to escape but could hear the drumming still from a mile away! If you want to be able to relax or even spend time in the apt don’t stay here. We left after one very stressful night and paid half the price at a very nice hotel suite with a lovely pool in town. It’s also worth noting that Venice beach is not a nice venue for a holiday. No nice bars or restaurants, just a hodgepodge of tourist shops selling and lots of bad vibes and screaming through the night.
