Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The LAX guest house is just a regular house they have converted for use as a hostel. There isn't any sign indicating that this is the Guest House except there is a sign with a phone number to call to let you in. The house also faces the cross street Truro and isn't actually on Century Blvd. It is behind a car lot and you enter through a side door. I arrived late at 2AM and they initially didn't have my reservation I made a month ago. There is no phone number listed for them, but I would advise calling ahead using the number I found on the door 323-809-8006 and make sure they have your reservation. They got it straightened out in the morning, but they need to improve their process for rooms booked through Expedia. The place itself seemed decent compared to some of the reviews I've read. It seemed reasonably clean and the people staying there seemed to be normal tourists to me. They do have 2 bathrooms with 2 showers, but you do have to wait your turn. There are extension cords to plug in your devices into the limited wall sockets. There is a Dollar Tree and Starbucks just down the street for your inexpensive food needs. You can easily reach the Guest House using public bus from the airport, but I arrived too late and had to take an Uber for $23 instead of the $1.75 charged by the bus for those who are looking to save money by staying at a Hostel. There is a real H3 Inn & Suites just down the street as well in case staying here doesn't work out.

I would have given a full score if getting to it was a little, NOT BIG - just a tiny confusing but could have been just me. Besides that, the place is very, very great and very, very clean, especially for a hostel. When checking in, you may have to call a number on the door to get a desk person there so if you are a person that has ants in their pants and are raving against time, maybe not the best to try. The location is very, very good and the condition of the hostel is very good. It even has good warm water even late at night. One of the best hostels I have been in and I have been in a few. Very close to the airport and bus connections as well. Come enjoy LA at this hostel and have a pleasant experience at least as far as what my experience has been so far. Yes, the beds and pillows are very good too.

This place is mechanical shop that added their adjoining back space into a slum hotel when I got there with my child there was people live not stay but live in this place. The supervisor was drunk, there were people who were drinking alcohol, other smoking weed and one lady standing next to my child shaking because needed her regular dose of crack. The kitchen had food all over the stove and when you go to eat your food every one comes to hover over you! When I was on the with the agent from the agency that made me this reservation there was a man in the window sill from the room that I never slept in blowing smoke to the window and could see me clearly because the drapes are translucent. The owner doesn't pick up the phone. And the "supervisor" was sleeping on a couch in front of the door what was supposed to be my room (but I left the same day) When I gave the keys to the supervisor he was with the crowd of residents that was smoking weed and when he finally walked to me he was drunk and barely couldn't stand as I was giving him the keys and thanking him for his time the was a tall man with his belly button sticking out mimicking what I was saying and it seemed like the rest of the residents were trying to tagged team me because they noticed I was uncomfortable staying there. Don't bother looking at any of the pictures they show in many websites (Expedia, Hotels.com, and bookings) these pictures are all altered by the owner and yes they do have cameras but the owners have access to them and pretty much do whatever he wants with them. THEY HAVE NO REFUND POLICY for a reason!

When I looked for a good place for stay that to enjoy my vacation (2 weeks), I was excited about what I saw on the pictures and while I read all descriptions about this place; however, when I arrived (around 9 pm), I was shocked how crowded this place was and how stinky was there. This is a private house (where smell of sweat, weed and concetrated chlorine is a coomon deal) with 7 bedrooms and there are only 2 bathrooms. There is no elevator and you shall be carry on all your heavy luggage upstairs just using flimsy stairs. Although the information on the website stated that everyone can use all amentities, a kitchen and laundry is locked for guest using. There are many permanent residents live who systematically drunk and/or under influence, and you have to be very careful with them and do not interact with something. Otherwise, you can be assaulted, bulled or even hit by them. Neither police nor a landlord cannot do anything with them. Moreover, that two housekeepers (they also live in this premise) are acting as receptionists as well. You will never see any hospitality or good service from them. The maximum you can hear is "I need your ID" and "Check out is at 11:00". These people will force you to follow the rules which can be compared to the rules in prison. This hostel has 5 private rooms 3 of them are occupied by the permanent residents. Other 2 are never available online even if they are vacant. You have to pay extra cash (3 times higher than a regular rate) upon arrival if you want to get such a room. Parking is only on the street and try to take everything out from your car or you may lose it during the night. Also, keep all your values at your careful attention during the day because it can disappear. If you bring your food, you need to eat it and do not keep it in the refrigerator (that is leaking all the time) because someone can steal it. So, I would not recommend you to come there. There are a lot of other more reliable hotels where you will be respected and you will be able to take a nap in safety.

A great place to stay close to the airport! Very clean and there's a full kitchen and a great bath compared to hostels worldwide, would definetly recommend after staying at a terrible place that had 5 star reviews 🤦‍♂️
