The course was redisigned several years ago from two courses into one. They took some of the best holes away on the old Diablo course and Gabilian but it was still nice and we met a very nice drink cart girl named Elliott. Elliott was so pleasant and fun to talk to while she made drinks and I must say the nicest person we met there.

As far as the rooms, floors were remodeled but there were gaps (tripping hazards) as the laminate wasn't completely joined together in several areas - see photos. There was also screws left in one of the dressers with a pair of used gloves, of which I gave back to the front desk. When I also showed the front desk girl the pictures of the floor she said, oh well you know they just finished remodeling (about the screws) but never said anything about the floors.

We had the cleaning lady come in on our room the second day as we had to use our bath towels to clean the outside patio and sit on the chairs as there were spiders and trash everywhere - see pictures. So, when I told the front desk about all the spiders and trash outside on the patio she seemed annoyed that I asked for her to have the cleaning lady clean it. When we got back to our room, the patio was cleaned and we got new towels. I was going to make some tea in the coffee maker and when I opened the top to add the water there was an old coffee filter in there with used grounds. Keep in mind, we don't drink coffee so that he been in there from before we checked in days before and this was just after the cleaning lady just left.

Also, the remodeling was not complete on the floor molding which was apparent from the left over putty used to patch all the nail holes but no one sanded and painted it so it would be finished. Some of the molding cuts look rushed, tacky and just unprofessionally done. If your going to boast about your hotel being 'REMODELED', then it should look finished and professional done.

Now, let's talk about the patio dinning. The food was excellent and they have a great patio. You must try the chicken wings, they were awesome. The only problem we noticed was the male waiter didn't always wear his mask when he came outside to serve people. We were there for several days and observed him either not wearing his mask or it below his nose.

Overall, I think the golf course was great, but the rooms need to be completely finished.

This is a lodge located on a beautiful golf course with large windows and views of the course. It is quite dated, but the rooms are spacious and clean and quite comfortable. There is limited desk presence at the country club, so late night check in and early morning departure can be an issue.

Stayed here for a short visit. Golf course was great. There was ample parking. The room was spacious and was nicely decorated. We thought the area was beautiful. THe resort is close to road and many amenities. They do have a pro shop. Great stay.

Do not stay here. Ppl that work front desk are super rude. I booked my trip, then I called to make changes, and the front desk lady laughed because she didn't want to honor the online rate, then I asked to just cancel, she started laughing. Then she had the nerve to hangup. Crazy, I never had a hotel do this to me.

This place is terrible.

The facilities are run down (see attached photos), the heater does not work and the filter indicator light says it needs to be changed (see photo), lights are out in the room, the bed is a lumpy cushion.

The reservations and front desk are only staffed a half day and sometimes they return calls, sometimes not. The two people I spoke with, Nikki and Chloe, seem nice, but were not very helpful once I arrived.

Interestingly, the one modern amenity is an electronic lock that is linked to a web app that enables the guest to check in without a key. This lets them process customers without a person.

I was in room 47.

Signed up with door dash to use it for the first time. I thought it would be a good idea to order from the fancy Ridgemark resort. Assumed i would get good service. NOPE. Spent $30+, The food arrived on time, but it was cold and messy. The chicken fried stake was obviously not fresh, and overcooked. I didn't receive any toast, utensils, or napkins. The jalapeno poppers were laced with a sauce which was not written on the menu and which i did not enjoy, as well as there being some stick-like clot of bs that would have gotten stuck in my throat and caused me to go to the hospital. I called to discuss the situation and got a very rude and unprofessional response from the manager that told the hostess that i was talking to to tell me to "take it up with Doordash" . Not only was the food and service horrible, there was no follow up. They seem to simply not care. I have 3+ years experience in high-volume restaurants, and this issue would simply never happen, because i actually care about my quality of work. Their issue is a common one, the management sucks, and it trickles down from there. Doordash did well to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, so i will continue to use the delivery app.; but not for Ridgemark.
I would not waste my time and money on trying this place out even once if i were you. Go to the Cozy Cup or Country Cafe.

Good day!

We arrived at Ridgemark to stay overnight for a Thurs./ Fri/ Sat. stay. Selection for accommadations in Hollister is very limited. We were there to attend a funeral, but also thought we would check out the place for future golf. The course looked in decent condition. It looked like the place was booked, judging by all the parked cars. The room, although roomy with a nice view on the course, was absolutely horrible. The bedding, bedspreads and pillows were very old, stained and old smelling. The interior furniture was very outdated and worn. The worse part was the bathroom. The sink had obviously not been cleaned for many visits, the bathroom floor had mud and dirt on it and the bathtub was so disgusting it made me gag from just looking at it. The brown soap scum was thick. It appeared not to have been cleaned, beyond rinsing, for many months. We were so disappointed, we cancelled our stay and left, which was difficult to do since we had driven several hours, it was 7pm at night, and we had few other choices, besides driving to Gilroy (the closest) for a better place to stay. We had to go to the funeral home for a viewing, prior to finding other accommadations and choosing to leave was a sacrifice. Though the golf course locale is nice, the room interior wouldn't even get one star in my book.

My husband and I have stayed at the Ridgemark twice. The rooms are very large, with 2 king size beds. Many have a whirlpool tub in the bathroom. Maintenance is not quite up to par: our tub drain would not stay down, there was a pulled thread in the carpet, etc.

There is a restaurant in the country club, which is part of the golf course. The food is good, but not excellent. There is no free breakfast, and no pool.

It is very quiet, as the rooms are on the edge of the golf course. It is on the edge of town, so it is too far to walk to another restaurant or shopping.

If you are looking for a large room, with plenty of peace and quiet, then this hotel is for you. It is a little too expensive, but it is the nicest place in Hollister.

We stayed one day, 10/31/05, at the Ridgemark Golf Resort in Hollister, CA., and played golf there as well. Our room was the filthiest place we have ever seen. The carpets look like they haven't been cleaned in 20 years; the bathtub/shower caulking was cracked (when there was some caulking ) and covered in mildew. While the bed sheets looked clean, we couldn't wait to get out in the morning. Of course, there is no place else to stay in the area, so we were stuck. Also, there was no restaurant open, there or nearby, so we had to eat in the lounge. The waitresses seemed overwhelmed because there were so many people and needless to say, the service was non-existent. We will never stay at the Ridgemark again.

This is the nastiest place I've ever stayed. What a dissapointment. We booked 22 rooms as we were getting married at Leal Vinyeards and wanted something close. We should have gone back to Santa Cruz. I got covered in bug bites, left my expensive face cream in the room and never could get a call back from anyone to tell me I could come get it. The rooms are outdated, blinds are mssing pieces, we had dirty towels in our room when we checked in. My parents rooms smelled intensely of vomit and there was not another room to put them in. They came in and sprayed it with a cinnamon scent to "mask" the smell. It was embarrassing to us when we faced our friends the next morning, everyone couldn't wait to get out of that dump.

Response from Guests1st, Guest Lodging Receptionist at Ridgemark Golf and Country Club Resort
Responded 3 Aug 2011
Ridgemark Golf & Country Club has taken strides to update the facility as well as raise the bar on customer service. After the report of possible Bedbugs was made by the guest at check-out, the bed was inspected and no Bedbugs were found. For those who know about Bedbugs, they are small bugs just a little bigger than a Nat, and they are usually brought in from foreign transients. They hibernate around the corners of the beds and tuck themselves near the bed post. If you have them, there will always be more than one. They are black until they get hungry and once they have fed on someone they get a slightly bigger and gain a reddish tint to them. The bites look more like a rash due to the fact that there are so many and they are so small. The bites reported by the guest, who had stayed at Ridgemark all weekend, were assumed to be from the outdoor wedding attended by the guest at a nearby winery during Mosquito Season. I'm sorry that the guest was disappointed with their stay. There have been a lot of changes and improvements to the property, even since the most recent posting from January 2011 with new window coverings and more, and we would like to welcome all guests to see the positive improvements here at Ridgemark Golf & Country Club.
