This is a fun, funky little motel that was very accommodating and met our needs. Myself and several of our friends stayed here recently for a dog event in Hollister. The gal at the front desk was friendly and helpful and had a bunch of chihuahuas so we knew we would be welcomed with our furry friends. Each room is decorated in it's own theme. My husband and I had the Independence Room which was all red, white and blue. Our friends were all situated in adjacent rooms so we could all be together. In the evenings there was a little gazebo near the parking area where we gathered for snacks and beverages and conversation. The front desk gal brought us table cloths and extra chairs and seemed to enjoy us being there.

There's no fancy frills with this motel, but it was priced reasonably and our room was clean and made up nicely each day (we stayed three nights) We found a fire hydrant and a gravel lot in the back to relieve our dogs The motel is in close proximity to the downtown area and across the street from a McDonalds and a decent Mexican Restaurant. Although a microwave would have been nice, there was a mini fridge in our room and a nice ceiling fan to keep the air circulating. We were gone much of the daytime but the rooms stayed cool when we returned. The beds were pretty comfy and everything worked. I don't watch TV but I understand they had excellent cable selection.

We lost our room key and the front desk lady was very gracious not to charge us a fee. Another of our friends had a sick puppy in the room and the motel staff washed her dog blankets for her. You could park right outside your room which I liked. If you want a fancy
place this probably is not for you, but if you are just there to sleep at night and want to bring your dogs and be comfortable this place rocked. I'd stay there again.

Stayed here for five night while visiting an elderly uncle living in Hollister who I had not seen in 62 years.
There is a diner across the street and a Taco Bell a short walk to the right. Maybe the Taco Bell is the better choice. I found the parking area to be safe and very well lit at night. Pool looked inviting and appears to be well kept. My bathroom basin had no top up stopper so I had to be careful not to drop anything as it would go right down the drain. A/C very adequate. Room service every day.

This place should get shut down for screwing their customers! i rented 2 rooms and got charged for 3. I am disputing this with my credit card company. i called the man at the desk after i noticed the extra room charge and he told me if it was my fault there would be no refund but it they were at fault hey would refund my 100 bucks. How can it be my fault if they charged me for an extra room I did not rent! This place is a sleaze pit! Shame on me for wanting to save a few bucks insead of going to a respectable motel. The rooms are clean but nobody deserves to get a hose job like this. Beware of these creeps! 2weeks later and these crooks still have not refunded my money. I'll get it back thru my credit card company. Its just a real pain in the butt!

What a completely awful and disgusting experience. First, the older woman and owner who checked me in was unbelievably rude. When I called to see how early I could get in, she said to come at 1:00. Great. When I got there and said I had a reservation, she yelled at me for showing up early and told me to wait until she was ready. Ten minutes later, she had checked in two other people who had arrived after me. Once I was in my room, which was at 51 degrees (I checked), I called and asked how to turn the heat on. She couldn't believe I would ask such a thing and told me the heat was turned off. She immediately said that if I didn't like it that I could go somewhere else. After a pause where she didn't say anything more, I sighed and hung up the phone. One minute later, she was pounding on my door and yelling at me for being rude. Huh? She said I hung up on her and should probably leave. I said no because I had a sleeping bag in the car and knew I could stay warm if I used that and wore a wool cap at night. (Which I had to.) And then she saw I had a small fan next to the bed, which I use for white noise. She started yelling at me for having a fan saying that not only was it not allowed to have fans in the room (huh?), but that if I was so cold, why would I run a fan. At this point, I knew there was something seriously wrong going on. Nonetheless, I was worn out and tired and decided to stick it out.

The room itself was a joke. The walls were paper-thin, and I could hear my neighbors talking, their water running, the TV—everything. On the back side of the building is a run-down trailer with a constantly barking pit bull and a guy who yelled and swore and smoked his cigars all evening. And of course, the bathroom window didn't shut all of the way, so I could hear all of that, along with smelling cigar smoke until he finally went inside around 10pm. The mattress was lumpy where the springs poked up, making for a miserable night's sleep, and the room was filthy on top of that.

Please, NEVER stay here! You will regret it from the minute you check in.

I spent a week here. I had a wonderful experience. The room was clean and very nice. The manager was wonderful through my visit and very friendly! Housekeeping came in daily and did a great job. I was recuperating from a minor surgery and didn't leave the room too much. The price was great I will definitely be back!

I showed up at this hotel early one evening while traveling on business. Looks very charming and clean from the exterior so I thought I would give it a try. The women at the desk was confrontational from the moment I walked in. She stated they had a vacancy and I tried to get past her confrontational attitude by being friendly. Made small talk as I handed her my ID and credit card. I casual asked if it was a quite place at night as I was exhausted from traveling and she immediately began yelling at me. I travel a lot and stay in 1-5 star hotels and have never had this kind of reception before. There was absolutly no way I was going to spend any money at that 2 star dumb. Grabbed my ID and credit card and walked away. I HIGHLY advise against staying here. I recommend the WIebe Motel down the rode.

I called to see If there were any rooms available. The woman told me she would not tell me because my phone number was blocked. What?! Surely I did not hear that correctly. I asked her, "You refuse to tell me if you have any rooms because my phone number is blocked?" When she replied, 'Yes", I asked her why and the response was "because that's how it is." Well then, on to a different hotel. This is so bizarre to me!

I called this place to advise the hotel that my friend was stuck on the freeway coming up from los angeles. The woman who answered the phone was less than curtious. when I finished telling her he would be late, she did not acknowledge my statement. I repeated it slower. No acknowledgement. I ased her if she understood what I was saying. She told me she is not stupid and knows her words. All I wanted was acknowledgement. Just tell me OK you got the information. She ended the call with attempting to start an arguement.
