Sometimes when I book a room I don't remember that I have already been disappointed by a place. I don't remember to consider that for an extra couple dollars, I could be so much happier with my selection. That being said, I have stayed here at least a couple times on my visit to Hemet. This place isn't terrible, and it is a low cost option, but if you're willing to spend an extra ten bucks, do it. The bed was at least clean. Whats wrong with this property? First of all, there is insufficient parking. If you stay out until after 9PM, you'll practically have to park on the boulevard or at least very close to it. This is on the edge of town. I remember now my first visit here and at the bar next door there was a lot of yelling and a fist fight. It seems that the property is now different and wasnt as noisy as the first time, but it doesn't seem like a great part of town. The hotel isn't kept up well. The stair wells were filthy and it does seem that there were tenants that were long term; likely not reputable members of society either. As for the room, there were nasty stains on the room chair (I wish I could post pictures!) and flecks of substances in a couple places on the walls. The room needed to be deep cleaned. It had been quick cleaned one too many times. On the plus side the bed was clean albeit hard. I use a light that reveals stains and there werent any on the bed or linens. The bathroom was another story. However, most places' bathrooms are pretty nasty under black light. Perhaps management should invest in one of these. The breakfast is almost non-existent, basically bad coffee, yucky juice and a well used waffle iron. So...If you are staying one night and you cant find another place close to the same price, then you could stay here. Just remember, in this case, you get what you pay for.

I stayed at this hotel because they advertised that they took pets. When I got here, they informed me that there would be an extra charge for the dog. Then they told me that I would have to stay in a smoking room, also because of the dog. (I asked if I had to sleep on the floor like the dog...?) All in all, it was a clean but out of the way hotel and one I would not stay in again.

The staff was friendly and worked hard to please guests but deserve more by the actual owner in maintaining and improving the property. Parking was inadequate and not safe. Room was very clean but bathroom/closet area seriously outdated and in need of remodeling. Host did her best to squeeze in very basic Continental breakfast but space limited the usual fare at other Vagabonds I've visited. I wish I could give top marks for the staff but low for accommodations since upgrading is seriously needed.

The photos on the website are extremely misleading. Besides the fact that the room was dirty with smoke burns everywhere, we felt extremely unsafe. The door didn’t have an extra bolt and the room key was just a plain white card.
After we checked in, I noticed a couple people spying on us from near the stairwell. There was definitely some sketchy activity going on with suspicious looking people but I won’t post any assumptions.
We checked in but didn’t return to the motel. My husband said he didn’t want to get robbed while we were sleeping. Do not let the photos on the website fool you!

What a dump. Made reservation a week in advance; even got a confirmation for a ground floor room. But when I got there I was told there was no reservation! A call to my bank confirmed that they had taken my money but they said they only had one upstairs room left.

Absolutely abysmal service. Hotel was as you would expect for the price - pretty shabby, stained and thin/lumpy pillows, not enough towels for the amount of people staying, walls thinner than paper - could hear upstairs and next door all through the night.
The worst came when we came home during the day and were met with cones across the entrance of the hotel. Having nowhere else to park (considering we were stuck on the side of a busy road, and seeing as we paid for hotel parking, we moved the cones and drove in. As soon as we came in he started yelling at us. Turns out the owner had freshly tarsealed the carpark without notifying any guests beforehand or the day of, and without hanging any signs whatsoever. He had actually tarsealed around a few cars that were there. Trying to explain that we were obviously not going to know this unless he told us beforehand, he continued yelling and calling us rude for moving the cones. We promptly found another hotel, and after attempting to politely (not exaggerating, I had calmed down by this point) reiterate the fact that he needs to inform his guests of his tarsealing shenanigans before he carries them out, he puts his hand in my face and says he is not listening to me. After saying excuse me? And that I have the right to speak seeing as I paid money to stay here he continues to say he was going to flat out ignore me and only speak to my friend. He is probably one of the thickest, most idiotic, disrespectful people I have ever come across.

My wife called before arrival and was assured over the phone that they had cribs available for our son. They lied - they do NOT have cribs available forcing her to try and figure out a safe way for him to sleep, adding stress to an already stressful trip - her first solo with him. What kind of place lies about their accommodations where safety is a concern to get business? Repulsive and reprehensible. Do not give this place your business.

Thank you for taking your time to review our property. We are very sorry to hear that your wife was unable to be provided a crib. Unfortunately, it seems as though there has been a misunderstanding here. Online, as well as advertised at the hotel, our amenities do not show cribs. As we do not carry them at any of our properties and our team members have stayed the same for years, I can assure you that this must have been a misunderstanding. Thank you again for taking your time to review our property. All feedback from our guests is greatly appreciated. Sincerest, Azure Hotel Group

First things first. The desk and staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating, and their continental breakfast, while very limited, was still a nice touch. But these are the only "pros" I can honestly offer. To clarify, I am not a hotel snob, and I understand that a $60/night motel guest should not expect the Four Seasons ... but I regret to say I simply would not stay her again because I could not get a good night's sleep from hearing every footstep above me, and every door slam, and idling engine outside my room. I realize the management can't stop noise, but there are some things they could fix: the rooms are well-worn, showing their years of use and the walls and door frames are chipped in several places, the room is badly in need of paint and all surfaces could stand a good scrubbing. Cigarette burns on the tub, small beds, no carpeting anywhere, a noisy refrigerator, and a smelly room heater rounded out the 1-night experience I had.
