This was the best place we stayed on this trip even though we stayed at more expensive "nicer hotels". The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good and the price was good for the time of year. The hotel is located in a nice part of town with a good brew pub within a stone's throw.
Forget the advertised rate of $156 per night. We were confirmed at "Total for Stay $458.46 USD" and then our VISA was charged $506 for two nights. The right hotel might have been worth that, but not this "budget" motel. If you ever wish to be outside at a motel you can skip this place. There are ZERO chairs or benches outside, it is 99% asphalt and cement. The outdoor klieg lights are so bright your room will be lit at night even with shades drawn as tight as possible. However, if you want light Indoors at the table they provide, do bring your own lamp. We were two guests, and their coffee maker provide one tablespoon of coffee (Farmer Bros.) for both of us along with one packet of "dairy creamer". Thanks a lot! The breakfast was 100% corporate along with unripe bananas. We won't be back.…
Fantastic place to stay. Extremely clean and they have the most comfortable beds!! All staff employees are helpful and friendly! We love taking walks along the Eel river which is so close and has great trails with beautiful views.
nice room, clean and reasonable location. We stayed in a room designed for those needing accommodations; the room was fine, but did not have any alterations designed to help those needing accommodations (the bathroom was small, no assist bars, and we did not see how people needing accommodations could really use the facilities).
The bathroom smelled like sewage and they refused to change my room. Disgusting. Instead, they poured bleach down the drains which helped for a while but the smell came back. Then, the lady blamed the sewage smell in the bathroom for people smoking marijuana outside. Really?!?!
We were very satisfied with the super 8 Hotel in Fortuna. We noticed how clean the room was and attention to details throughout. Service was good and friendly. We had a flat tire when we woke the next day and the owner CJ was very helpful and went out of his way to make sure we were okay. Also enjoyed the location next to the river.
We were very satisfied with everything! The place was so neat and very clean in a quiet area. The room was spacious for three adults. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. We had a very good night sleep!
This hotel was just what we needed: convenient, clean and not too expensive. Perfectly fine! Plus you can walk across the parking lot to a great brewery! I am not sure why there was no breakfast now that all restaurants are open again...instead you get a really poor/tiny breakfast.
We had a quick check in and a big room. The staff was very friendly and we had a pleasant stay. Also the rooms are designed with the toilet and shower separate from the sink area. The hotel was located next to the Eel River Brew pub for a very good, convenient dinner.
We utilized this facility to house large groups of fire fighters daily. The general manager was nothing but extremely helpful and accommodating. I personally surprise visited the facility to look at multiple rooms on the fly as to ensure cleanliness, I was nothing but impressed by how clean and tidy both the rooms and the entire facility was. I will most definitely utilize this facility to house staff for future events to come. The general manager was on top of my guest list adding and subtracting rooms as I needed on the fly. Did not have a single issue with anything at this facility. Thank you for your hospitality.
