We have just returned from Samoa and really enjoyed our stay at Saletoga Sands. All facilities are high quality and beautifully maintained. The villa was huge and so comfortable with king bed, spacious bathroom with outside shower and really lovely toiletries. The gardens and pools are gorgeous. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the meals were delicious with good choices available from the lunch and dinner menus. The traditional Fia Fia night was a real highlight, with all performers working at the resort and from the local village.

Beautifully presented resort owned & operated by NZers. This resort was medium in size and had individual villas amongst beautiful tropical gardens. The beach & pool areas were well maintained with plenty of complimentary sports equipment on offer inc. paddle boards, snorkelling gear & kayaks. The rooms were spacious with a lovely outdoor shower. We enjoyed everything about this resort however we do prefer smaller resorts with less people.

thanks for the review , we do have 76 rooms and villa's but when you walk around the resort it doesn't feel that big most of the villa's are offset and we use a lot of planting to create privacy , thanks again gav

Saletoga is a great spot for families staying on Upolu. It’s around 1hr 20 drive from the airport and easy to find using Google maps. The resort is very family friendly. We had a beachfront villa and it was literally beachfront - so nice falling asleep listening to the waves each night. We had our son (10) with us and the three of us had plenty of space to spread out in the villa and the bathroom was large with both indoor and outdoor showers. The snorkelling out from the resort was good and there were kayaks and paddle boards available too. We ate at the resort restaurant from the menu one night and the smaller low key bar/restaurant which has a meal speciality each night (e.g. pizza night, burger night). We also enjoyed the Fiafia night which we thought was very reasonably priced with tasty food and great entertainment. The beachside bar happy hour (4-6pm) is great with the two different happy hour cocktails a bonus! The massage at the on-site spa was amazing, although not cheap. There is a shop that sells a few basic snacks and some souvenirs. You can also hire scooters from the resort and they offer a daily excursion each day to various tourist spots. We also got a picnic lunch (fruit and sandwich) to take with us one day.

Tālofā mālō le soifua ma le lagi e mamā. The Salatoga Resort is absolutely fa'atauaina! The staff are incredibly alofaia and friendly. The weather was so mafana, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The Fia Fia night was the best and so fa'a-Samoa, and the food was absolutely susu mai. It was especially special for my daughter to be able to join the women on stage during FiaFia event. The fale was spacious and comfortable, which made our stay even more fa'amoemoe. The free dive gear and kayaks were a huge bonus, and the reception staff were beyond helpful. The blue skies and crystal clear water were absolutely fa'ata'uta'u. All the facilities are clean and well tended which is no mean feat when on one night there were over 200 guests. Very whanau friendly too. I tried to think hard about improvements but it was tricky! First world issues like low water pressure in our bathroom and no hot water sometimes is all I could come up with but having lived on a lifestyle block in NZ, I understand pumps and water pressure issues! As a GLBT 🏳️‍🌈 family, we felt totally comfortable and at home with no uncomfortable stares or judgements. That was just delightful. The only thought my daughter had, was to make the restaurant down by the beach, more of a games area as well as food and maybe a tv down there because it seems under utilised at times - maybe it could be a take- away place with a pool table or something similar ? I don’t know - it was all perfect from my perspective. Thank you and goodbye

The hotel offers everything you need and more! With special events happening every night and even a complimentary shed for hiring scuba gear, it ensures a truly memorable stay. While the breakfast may not have been exceptional, the staff was incredibly helpful throughout my visit. I got sick for 2 days and the assistance from the staff made all the difference. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel for its fantastic offerings and dedicated service.

We did not stay at the resort, only had lunch there one day, which was great. Food was very good and prices were great too. Would definitely recommend the restaurant. The service was also good, considering they were a bit busy.

Had a great stay here for one night. Wish we booked longer. We stayed at many hotels during our trip and this was the first that did not seem to have been heavily impacted by Covid (other hotels had restaurants and bars closed) but here even had their pool bar open (something we did not find in the 5 other resorts we stayed in). Great breakfast, first we had that did a full big buffet style breaky. Food service was a bit slow and the aircon in the room wasn’t too good ( still worked but took a long time to cool down). But other than that it’s amazing place and will definitely return!

thanks for the great review , we were aware of our service being slow mostly due to over 75 new staff at Saletoga since easter at different levels of training but they are all improving in leaps and bounds and have heaps of enthusiasm to make up for it , a great team in the making .Gav

What an amazing holiday. Resort owned by an amazing kiwi couple who are also animal lovers like us. They were very generous in loaning us the work Ute to take 23kg of medical supplies to Animal Protection Samoa. Anyone heading to Saletoga please take animal supplies eg flea treatment, worm pills dog collars and dry food if you can or towels blankets and sheets. Lou at Saletoga will drop them off to APS for you. Well the Resort Fales were fabulous, the warm outdoor showers were something else. The food and cocktails amazing and the friendly smiling staff were the best. The ocean was like warm and the swimming pool was very inviting. This place is a must to visit

This has been one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at in Samoa. The beachfront villa is incredible - outdoor shower a highlight! The pool is great for the kids and centrally located to the villas. The fiafia night was the best we’ve seen with fantastic fire dancers!
