If you are between venues/hotel accomodations and wondering where to stay in Carmel, save yourself the time and PICK QUAIL LODGE. The staff and accomodations at Quail Lodge made my husband and I's wedding experience so incredibly smooth. Between being able to check into our rooms early to fast response times they really took care of us. Everyone we spoke with after the wedding weekend had nothing but amazing things to say about their stay. Not to mention, the property is stunning. I dream of the lovely walk path encircling the golf course often. Also if you can afford it, get the villa! It's totally worth every penny if you are hosting an event there - it's jaw dropping. Our wedding was the wedding of the century according to our families... everything went so smoothly, the ballroom was decorated beautifully and it was the PERFECT space for our family and friends to get together to celebrate our love. We underwent some challenges that could have thrown off our experience (eg we were supposed to get married in 2020 and had to postpone and also went through several event coordinators due to turnover) but Quail handled this with grace. Listened to us when we voiced any frustrations or concerns and immediately helped ease our minds and was quick to resolve anything we needed. They were everything you would hope and dream of in an event venue. Fallon was AMAZING and such a dream to work with. She made our experience one we will never forget. We were never treated like money bags and I truly felt the entire Quail staff cared about us beyond being another event in the books. I will forever be grateful for her and the entire Quail Lodge team - we cannot wait to come back again to visit and relive the best day of our lives. <3…
This place is great. While the property was obviously built in the 70s, they have done a really great job of updating the property so that it doesn't feel dated. This is a solid 4 star property. Our room was huge and looked out on the golf course. We loved that we could easily park ourselves and walk to our room (valet is a pain imo). We checked in late, and the folks at Quail Lodge were very accommodating. In fact, the service at this property really sets it apart. Breanna, Omar, and Jessica in particular were really friendly and made our visit special. Golf was incredible as well and shouldn't be missed. We will return!
Super nice establishment and venue. We stayed here for a company event. The property is very spread out. Upon check-in, they had all the rooms with keys ready to go, so it made for a fast and easy check-in. Our room wasn’t too far from the lobby; in fact, it shared the same parking lot next door, but to get to the event venue on the green, you would have to drive if in heels. Our company provided a shuttle that would take guests back and forth. Some opted to walk as it’s not a long one if in flats. Didn’t utilize the spa but I’m sure it’s nice. Golf course looked nice. The bar next to lobby is great! Good drinks, nice ambiance and décor. They closed at midnight, but we were able to go either outside on the deck, or in the library which is also next to the lobby. If you are planning a corporate event or a wedding, Quail will bend over backwards on every degree. Their staff was over the top! Overall, a great stay and I would come back again.…
We had a pleasant experience at the Quail lodge. My husband enjoyed his round of golf. The rooms are nice and clean but the same decor when I visited back in 2004. Beds were not that comfortable. Service at the Covey was excellent and the food is good but not great.
I was trying to find the listing for Covey Grill (Quail Lodge restaurant), but it doesn't seem to exist on TripAdvisor. So this review does NOT reflect the hotel (which I believe is lovely!). The restaurant, however, was a disappointment. Nice ambiance and good service, but the prices for the quality of food were way, way out of whack. We all decided to order seafood options: piece of fish with a mean bit of arugula on the side and a small ramekin of sauce. If you wanted anything else with it you had to order from the 'sides' menu. Very overpriced and soggy (drenched in oil/butter) vegetables. Having eaten at Passion Fish prior to this, we were not impressed. I really think for a hotel restaurant they should adjust their prices, or at least try a bit better. Wine was overpriced too. The four of us felt fleeced! Why did you go, I hear you ask? Well, we are trying to support local restaurants and we noticed that Covey had a new 'farm to table' menu etc., and wanted to support it. Well, we came, we ate, we emptied our wallets and we won't be back. There are so many great places to eat, I really think Covey's will have to do a bit better in order to compete.…
