Nestled near prime skiing destinations, Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono is lauded for its convenient location and pristine cleanliness, often attributed to meticulous housekeeping staff. Guests are enamored by its sophisticated atmosphere and luxurious amenities, including on-site onsens and ski services. The spacious rooms with breathtaking views are well-received, though some guests note occasional housekeeping oversights. While the hotel's amenities and atmosphere earn rave reviews, opinions on value and service are mixed, with some travelers experiencing underwhelming service and unexpected charges.

Park Hyatt Niseko is beautiful. Actually it is probably one of the prettiest hotel I had even been in (outside the Maldives). The King room is more of a Jr Suite and is very comfortable. The free still and sparkling water is a nice touch and the in room minibar is actually somewhat reasonable (it is actually the cheapest place to get beer in the hotel).

The location is great if you are skiing Hanazono, but other than that, there is literally nothing nearby. There is a shuttle to take you to Hirafu, but the shuttle timing is somewhat limited and gives you a bit of anxiety that you might miss the once an hour shuttle (coming back).

There are 2 things that prevents the full 5 stars.

1. The staff does need more time getting used to things. Everyone is very friendly, but seemed disorganized. I wasn't recognized for status on check in. There are multiple other confusions at the Lounge, but the most memorable is that I had 3 different staff asking me what type of water I wanted for lunch, and even then it still took 10 minutes to get water (when there was almost no one in the Lounge). The Lounge staff is not too knowledgeable about the limited menu, which includes not knowing about what is in the curry and what is in the daily bento. Front desk wasn't sure what they can and cannot do when it comes to late checkouts.... etc etc

2. Breakfast a la carte was pretty much robbery. I know this is a premium hotel but 8 udon noodles and an egg is not $25 worthy. Same goes for the small tiny French Toast. Save that money for lunch and get the excellent Ramen or Curry.

Lastly, shout out to Yannik at the Bar. Your Strawberry Daiquiri is my wife's favorite drink in all of Japan and she is now sad we cannot get Hokkaido Strawberries back home.

Dear Happyxix Thank you very much for staying with us and sharing your experience. We are delighted to know that you had a wonderful time staying with us. Thank you for our views on our guest rooms , it is true that in most hotels around the world an room like this would be considered a suite, with its living area including dining table, sleeping sofa and the extra full bathroom. All our rooms are in fact designed to sleep 4 people. The hotel has been designed whit the location in mind, 10 restaurants including lounges and bars, 25 meter swimming pool, 2 gyms, onsen and Spa, ski valet and ski rental shop to have a seamless vacation in the resort without going for and back to Hirafu or Kutchan. We have noted you remark on the complimentary bus shuttle and are currently evaluating how we can improve the services. Please accept our sincere apologies for the service shortfalls you received during your check in and in our restaurants. We completely agree with you that we will have to provide better and more personalized service to our clients. We are looking at your comment on the breakfast servings and pricing. It is our aim to offer high quality food and beverage servings for a good value and reading your description we certainly have disappointed you, our sincere apologies for this. Thank you for mentioning Yannik and his skills in making your wife most favorite strawberry daiquiri. We have passed your message to him and complimented him on his skills and guest service. Thank you for voting the prettiest hotel you ever stayed in, we value your comment and truly hope to welcome you soon back again for a ski or summer vacation best regards Stefan Bollhalder General Manager

We spent a week in niseko for snowboarding in feb. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite with private onsen on the Residence side. The hotel is very new. The room is spacious, and can sleep up to 4 people comfortably as it has two toilets. The benefit of staying in the residence side is that we have our own kitchenette to make breakfast or dinner with the freshest Hokkaido produce from local supermarket. There’s also a washing machine and dryer, which is extremely useful after a few days of snowboarding. The toilet amenities are of usual high quality from Le Labo. One of the best thing is soaking in the private onsen with proper spring water from the mountains after a day of snowboarding!

Service from front desk was faultless. Every staff we met spoke excellent English and addressed our needs. The luxury of staying in Park Hyatt niseko was being able to ski in-out with a ski valet service to help you with the ski/ snowboard equipments. We hired our snowboards at the ski shop inside the hotel, and they were of high quality. There were many restaurants to choose from within the hotel, but we ate out a lot as we had a car and liked going out to try new restaurants. Breakfast was good with special mentioning of beef udon noodles. The Concierge needed a bit of improvement as they mixed up our restaurant bookings and ski rentals.

The hotel is also in close proximity to Kutchan and Hirafu (less than 10 min drive). We went to Kutchan to get groceries from the big supermarkets and drug stores. And we went to have dinner in the many recommended restaurants in Hirafu and Kutchan. Overall we had a wonderful stay in Park Hyatt Niseko. We cannot wait to be back!

The word that kept coming to mind during my stay at Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono was "exceptional." Having only recently opened a few months ago, the hotel and on-site staff were already working together perfectly to provide a seamless experience. The ski locker/valet facility was incredibly spacious, and the staff there were very attentive and helpful in preparing my equipment before hitting the slopes. The proximity of the hotel to the Hanazono lift base can't be beat. For dinner, I ate at the China Kitchen and thoroughly enjoyed the best Chinese food in Hokkaido. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was superb--at any time of the day, it is one of the most visually appealing and comfortable hotels I have ever seen. Finally, the onsen facilities are the best that I have ever experienced. The public areas of the onsen were spotless and maintained very well. I recommend this hotel to the highest degree and want to thank the Park Hyatt team for such a wonderful experience.

We booked at the Park Hyatt Niseko months before they officially started taking reservations—so the anticipation was high! And the hotel delivered. The concierge was extremely helpful, easily arranging things big (guided ski tours) and small (transportation). The staff was kind, engaged, and proactive. We arrived at the hotel at 1AM and the front desk staff actually made my sofa bed and found me an extra duvet. The public spaces were gorgeous—my father and I would walk around on little ‘architecture tours’ to marvel at the design. And we were obsessed with with the pool area (with four semi-private jacuzzis) and the onsen, with separate bathing areas for men and women. It was our nightly ritual, along with a dining experience at the hotel. The Deli was great for casual, impromptu meals but the real treat was the Teppan. One of the best meals of my life. And the Lounge downstairs, and the Mountain Lounge in the Residences, were great places to let the hours unwind with crisp Japanese brews. Stefan (the GM) and his team have created something wonderful in Niseko.

The new Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono is a really great hotel. My wife and I have stayed there twice in the last month and really enjoyed our stay both times. The staff are polite and friendly and gave us a very warm welcome.

The rooms are clean and very spacious. They have a modern interior design and are very well-appointed with all the amenities and comforts one could wish for. Our room during our second stay even had a hotspring-like bathtub! Some rooms also have breathtaking views of Mount Yotei and other mountains surrounding the hotel.

If you are looking to dine at the hotel, then you have many options. There are many restaurants in the hotel. We dined at their Chinese restaurant called China Kitchen. The food we had was amazing. It is worth visiting this hotel just for the food alone. They also have a French restaurant with a 3-starred Michelin chef. They have an Italian restaurant, a teppanyaki restaurant, lounges, bars, a wine cellar and a karaoke lounge too.

We would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are planning a trip to Niseko in the summer or winter months. We have been so happy with the customer service and experience we had at this hotel that we have made bookings for some other family members so that they can enjoy the comfort and luxury this hotel provides. We are definitely looking forward to staying at this hotel again the next month.

We stayed at the Park Hyatt over the Christmas holiday and could not be more pleased. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We only stayed three nights but all of the staff would great us each morning at breakfast by name. If we ever had a question or need a staff member promptly assisted us.
The rooms are beyond amazing. Every little detail has been thought about in the design. The housekeeping was also prompt. Our room was always cleaned while we were out for breakfast and would be finished by the time we got back.
The hotel amenities and restaurants are great. All of the restaurants are top quality. The price is also very reasonable considering the high quality. The location of the hotel next to the slopes with the adjacent ski rental shop is also super convenient. Our room also came with a ski locker which was an added bonus.
Overall if I could give more than 5 stars I would. We already decided we will be back next holiday season.

We spent 2 nights in a One King Bed Suite (Globalist upgrade at check in, up from a 1 King Bed) at a cash rate of 99,783 Yen per night.

Location 5/5: The Park Hyatt is located within the Niseko Hanazono complex, which is right next to the skiing area and the gold course. The views are beautiful, and we were lucky to catch the first snow. Lot’s of activities available around the hotel. I highly recommend to rent a car and drive to the hotel from Sapporo, as this will give you easy access to nearby towns and things to see and do. Kutchan is the nearest town to visit, just a 5 minute drive from the hotel.

Cleanliness 5/5: Spotless. Both the room and the common areas.

Service 5/5: Excellent service everywhere, from the restaurants, to the bar (great bartenders!), to housekeeping, to front desk. They make you feel like a valued guest.

Food (Breakfast) 5/5: The buffet breakfast is of great quality, and there are many choices. One of the best quality spreads I’ve seen, plus some a la carte items.

Room 5/5: The Suite was beautiful, very well designed and appointed. There was a guest bathroom, always appreciated in suites, and we really enjoyed the welcome amenities.

Common areas 5/5: Beautiful design, amazing lobby area, and the highlight has to be the (free for guests) onsen spa, which I tried and was excellent. The building blends beautifully into the surroundings, and everything about it feels well thought out.

Value for Money 4/5: Very good, given the level of luxury and service, and the fact that we got an upgrade to a suite. Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s worth it.

Bonus points for sustainable practices: Nothing worth mentioning.

Property feels luxurious, the rooms are well appointed. We were on the 6th floor and stayed in a one bedroom suite (hotel side). This is where my positive comments for the hotel ends. Service at this "5 star" hotel is appalling and not worthy of the Park Hyatt brand or any luxury brand.

Out of the 3 full days we were there, we had to call housekeeping on 2 of those days as we had returned to the room after skiing around 4/5pm to an unmade up room - no clean towels, no shower gel etc. Once we actually had to go to the front desk as even after calling housekeeping, our room was still not made up a few hours later! But all we got was a "sorry, we will send someone".
A far cry from the impeccable Japanese service that we are used to in Japan and even across Asia.

Breakfast buffet is included in the room rate and while the food is decent, there is no variety. Every day it was the same options and even my kids got tired of the food after day 3.

On our last night, we decided to go down to the lounge early-ish around 6.15pm for the dinner buffet. We were told there were no seats available (the restaurant was 3/4 empty) till 7.30pm which would have been too late for us as we have young kids. We asked where in the hotel we could have dinner and the answer was that everything was booked out! What kind of hotel does not have a table for their own guests at 6.15pm for a quick dinner? Appalling - the hostess at the lounge did not seem to know what she was doing and had to ask a server for assistance whereby his answer to any of our questions was "no".

We ended up having to order room service. They brought us bottles of soda water with no bottle opener. We called multiple times and they finally brought one 35 minutes after the food/drinks were delivered.

On a more positive note, the ski school attached to the hotel is excellent. The ski valets were superb attentive and great value. Our kids were enrolled in Tic Tac (kids ski school) and the daycare and were very well taken care of. The only comment we have is that the kids ski school ends at 3.30pm! But private lessons which we took ended at 4pm. So there is a disconnect that should be addressed otherwise someone always has to end their lessons early to go pick up the kids.

Earlier in our trip, we were contemplating coming back to the Park Hyatt in December to continue our daughter's ski lessons (because the ski school is excellent) but after multiple poor service encounters at the hotel on this trip, we are definitely not coming back unless we get a serious apology or their service levels drastically improve.

This was our once in a lifetime ski trip to Niseko & we are so glad we stayed at the Park Hyatt Niseko for 6 nights. We had 4 residences and the best thing about them was the private onsen in each room. We didn't know that the residences have a washer/dryer unit. We didn't read the description of every room carefully, had we known this we would have packed fewer ski clothes. We also did not have a car so we couldn't easily go to the supermarket to buy groceries. Our kitchen was well appointed with appliances. Given the restaurant reservations were extremely difficult to get during the Christmas/New Year's holidays - we regret not having some essential groceries. We could have had a couple lunches or dinners at our residence if we had rice, ramen, eggs, etc. It was not easy to just call a taxi so we pre-booked taxis for the 3 dinners to Hirafu and Niseko. Leaving the Park Hyatt to meet friends who were in Niseko wasn't easy, just as going to a grocery store wasn't easy. We were traveling with 7 family members and getting reservations for sushi and Teppenyaki was impossible. It was also my mother in law's 78th birthday on Jan. 2 and I started emailing the Park Hyatt concierge in late October to get a reservation to Moligere Montagne for a dinner reservation for a party of 3.I could not get a reply back and when someone finally called me back, they were fully booked. I asked to be put on the wait list for a cancellation, they did call us on the first day we got there so we were able to dine at Moliere & it wa excellent. The hotel itself is exquisite. Our kids said it was the nicest resort they've ever stayed in & we have to agree. The staff & service is also excellent. Finbar Gallagher changed my son's life by giving him advice to him while making him a coffee at the Lounge. Finbar told our son to "be happy - because if you are happy, girls will be attracted to you." Our son was in the dumps and didn't want to ski, go out to dinner, or hang out with his family until Finbar gave him this advice. Thank you Finbar for connecting with our 14 year old son & helping him change his attitude! Finbar helped make our vacation fantastic because we were worried about our son. The next night our son was approached by a man in the Robata restaurant asking if his 2 nieces could take a photo w/ our son because they thought he was so handsome! What a confidence boost to our son! Finbar really helped a young teen out with wise words and we are eternally grateful for that!

[Perfect room size]

The hotel is new and spacious with perfect room size for family of 4. It’s an all suite hotel. All the standard room has a living room with sofa bed and a dinning area that could easily fit 4 people and has 2 bathrooms!
Perfect in hardware!!

[Ski activity]

The world’s finest powder snow!!
Ski in ski out with ski valet. Premium rental ski and snowboard equipment.
Highly recommended!!

[Restaurants]

Top notch on site restaurants if you are lucky enough to get a table. Pierre Hermes bakery and two Michelin restaurants.
Make sure you make a reservation 3 months before your trip. You won’t disappointed on food quality, but don’t expect too much on their service. Definitely not Japanese standards service.

[Concierge]

Short staffs and concierge is the worst that couldn’t provide any help. When concierge emailed you one month before your trip to remind you make reservations for restaurants and snow activities, basically it’s too late that all the restaurants are fully booked. We barely had a decent meal during our stay.

My husband called and emailed concierge before our trip over 3 times to arranged room deco for our 10 years wedding anniversary. Took forever for concierge to respond.
Picked the most expensive deco plan and got nothing when we arrived. Talked to front desk two times and ended up they sent a last minute email on our 3rd day said too late to coordinate with local flower shop so they put the fake artificial flower and gonna charge 1,9000yen ($170usd) for it!!!
Fake flower!!!
I would rather they told us that they are short staffs and won’t be able to provide this kind of arrangement instead of put the low quality fake flower in our bed and ruin our anniversary!!

Hi there, there are quite a few restaurants in the hotel and a cafe but you need to go to the nearby village for a convenience store or shop. They do have free shuttle buses to take you.
