Hotel Burbank garners praise for its attentive staff and modern retro charm, offering an ambiance that suits a variety of stays. Its strategic location near attractions and amenities, including shopping and theme parks, is frequently highlighted by guests. While the spacious and clean rooms are appreciated, some visitors have pointed out issues with noise and dated interiors. Despite the positive remarks about cleanliness and on-site dining, the hotel's value proposition is sometimes questioned due to additional fees.

Hotel is comfortable very convenient to lots of places to eat and drink in Burbank. Only one side is currently open. Our room had a mini fridge and microwave. Nice views. Only one set of elevators is working currently, Elevators are small so with social distance rules only 2 people unless family can fit.
All the staff wore masks, there were tables between the front desk and customers at check in for additional safety and there was hand sanitizer available. The front doors are locked for guest security. Disposable paper menus were available for the restaurant for take away meals.
With all the detail they had keeping people safe, I was very surprised at check in by a large group of guests in the lobby, none wearing masks, all drinking and socializing with the staff behind the desk, they were taking up a large part of the lobby and it was difficult to get around them. What is the point of having staff with all these precautions if you allow guests to throw a party in your lobby with no masks?

Maria in Housekeeping was nice enough to give us a non skid tub mat because the tub was slippery. Would be nice if had free breakfast. When arriving shuttle picked up southwest airline employees and left us their for 45 minutes because the shuttle driver said their priority but southwest employees were done with their shift we are paying customers they took 3 groups of Southwest Airlines employees.

My husband and I stayed here Friday-Sunday January 3-5 of 2020. We had a corner room with a king bed. The room was spacious and clean. Pretty standard hotel room. They do offer breakfast here but we felt $13 for an omelet was a little pricey so we went searching for other places to eat. Half a block up from the hotel is San Fernando Ave and there are tons of places to eat for every taste. We found a 50’s diner to have breakfast and the portions were large and priced well. This hotel is about 3 miles from WB Studio if you are planning on doing a tour which is the sole reason for our trip. Overall, nice hotel, helpful staff, good location.

I made the mistake of staying here one time too many. ( I have stayed numerous times since 1998.)
Since I had made the reservation using a discount, when asked for my ID I showed my Military ID. The demeanor of the reception changed and when I asked about my mountain view room, I was told they didn't have one for me. I also in remarks requested a room away from elevators and vending (now the ice machines.) Twice I was give one in the corner by the elevator and the ice machine. Finally I was given a room with a "view" of the freeway off-ramp and the train tracks. The reason for a mountain view was that in the past when housekeeping cleaned the rooms the turned up the temperature or turned off the A/C. West facing rooms get heat soaked and take forever to cool down, well past bedtime.
Speaking of housekeeping, they didn't show up. I was told that you now had to request it and you were told this on a card in your room. The card was propped up on a lamp and bragged about their efforts to maintain cleanliness. On the back was the message about having to request housecleaning. On this side was a note to see the other side. But none was on the cleanliness side. This appears to be a problem as a family checking out the same time I did also complained. The cards are not working!!!!
The manager at check in said he would comp my parking since I had paid for a mountain view and didn't get one. NO such thing happened.
I suspect they saw this as a way to screw me on my room discount and make more money charging someone else for the mountain view room . Also I hate to think this was some disrespect for those that have served.

I have to say I was blown away by how mediocre an experience this was. Things I need in a hotel:

1. Good Internet: the wifi absolutely sucked - and despite asking for it to be fixed every morning as it got progressively worse, it didn't improve throughout the whole stay despite front desk saying they were going to have it seem to.
2. The option for a clean room: I understand that we are living in a pandemic but when I asked why the room wasn't being cleaned, front desk told me there was supposed to be a 'make up my room' door tag in the room - there wasn't.

Overall, it just feels like this hotel is kind of in need of a decent renovation - location is great and the price wasn't terrible, but the rooms and the common areas just feel a bit worn out.

And it wasn't a surprise that the computer was down when we needed to check out.

The manager, “Lola,” and her staff are rude and discriminatory against elders. I booked two nights for my parents so they could attend a funeral. I was expecting them to be taken care of and receive adequate service during this difficult time. My parents are older and are hard of hearing. When they returned to their hotel room after a difficult day, they came back to an unserviced room. When my mom called the housekeeping line to ask why they had not serviced their room, she was told that guests have to request it and that she was told of this at check in and that there are notes inside the room indicating this. This is simply untrue. They were not told of this expectation (which I think is just absurd to ask guests to take action. Guests should be taken care of…after all, that’s what you pay for) and there were no notes inside the room. My mom was transferred to the front desk and as soon as they heard her spanish accent, they hung up on her. At this point, my mom called me and told me what happened. She was distraught and felt extremely disrespected. I called and asked to speak to the manager, the manager answered and indicated that she was aware of the issue already. She talked over me several times, did not take accountability for their wrong doings, and did not apologize for her staff hanging up on my mother. “Lola” had no compassion when I told her my parents were there for a funeral and I expected them to be treated kindly and with respect. These are things guests shouldn’t have to ask for. The manager was just as rude as her staff, refused to refund me any part of their stay. I think a full refund of one of the two nights is reasonable given that my parents were mistreated. When I said I would escalate further, she simply did not care. I told her I would never book a stay there again and she seemed unbothered. Also, the rooms and facilities were very outdated. Later, I found out this used to be a Holiday Inn…they simply changed the name. This hotel needs a major overhaul of its facilities and more importantly, its staff.

After driving by the hotel for the last 4 years as both Holiday Inn and now Hotel Burbank, I always thought it would be a cool place to stay. So when she returned from 2 weeks in a time zone 14 hours ahead, we decided to take a 2 day rest-cation and it was a great decision.
Checkin was easy; parking is close and secure (and a bargain at $22/day), so getting from car and into the room was simple (manager himself brought out a luggage cart).
Room was spacious and clean with a nice view of the pool and the afternoon setting sun. After returning from LAX about 9pm and tired from her flying, we ordered room service at 945 before they closed at 10. We had a couple of nice sandwiches, fries, and a couple IPA's. It was food food at a fair price served by a lady with a nice personality. I got my sandwich as a WRAP and would suggest the hotel offer all their sandwiches as a WRAP.
Location is great for walking to anything that interests you. Multiple food options within walking distance. You could stay 5 days and walk to someone different for each meal.
We definitely plan to go back as a very nice staycation hotel; parked our car when arrived, stayed 2 days, and didn't get back in the car until we checked out.

We stayed at this hotel for the weekend, we were there to do some sightseeing around the Burbank area, so the location was great.

The room itself was just average. Nothing really fancy or nice about it. It was clean, which was good, but I definitely think it's needs an update. When you go in, it was kind of dark and dingy. My boyfriend had requested (and paid extra) for an 18th floor room, but when we opened the window, we got a view of the freeway.

The TV channels were not great, and some of the stations had a lot of static.

The bed wasn't that comfortable.

The hallways outside our room smelled like Marijuana.

They make you pay $19 for parking.

When you order from the restaurant, you have to pick it up, they won't bring it to your room.

The website doesn't say anything about an airport shuttle, so we paid for an Uber the morning we had to leave, we realized that morning that it looked like they did offer a shuttle, that would have been nice to know.

For what we paid for the hotel (almost $500 for 2 nights) I expected better. The weekend before, I paid about that much at a hotel in Central Oregon, and it was WAY better.

I think we will try and find somewhere else to stay next time we visit Burbank.

This is not a traditional Holiday Inn, it is bigger than most Holiday Inns. It has 2 towers, lots of space inside for meetings and parties. A very quick shuttle ride from the Burbank Airport and we were in our room 30 minutes after landing. The service is good but the only thing that was not good was the terrible WIFI, very slow or non-existing.

We were flying out of Burbank and booked this place for the night before. What a find! It's VERY NICE.. I was not expecting much from a Holiday Inn and I was pleasantly surprised. Front desk personnel were super friendly and made us feel very welcome and appreciated (their main business has been - thankfully - airline contracts to keep them occupied). We were bumped up to the 18th floor. The best thing was the rate they offer that includes parking.. and you can leave your vehicle there FREE, up to 5 days. That was a tremendous benefit. The airport shuttle is free and runs all the time.
When we got back from our trip, the shuttle was right there. So very efficient.
I would totally stay here again if we needed to fly out of Burbank!
