Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Most folks would give this venue 2 stars but the staff brought it up to average. The parking is good and well lighted at night. Interior furnishings are dated and stains but serviceable. Bed was ok. No breakfast but coffee in the lobby if requested. Amenities were average for a motel in this price range. Staff simply great in caring for this solo senior visitor. Thank you Karen.

This Rodeway Inn is one of the few options when staying in the Beaumont, Banning area. It has a limited number of rooms. It is farther from the freeway than America's Best, which is where we stayed last time and it was awful. The room is very adequate with two beds, a frig, microwave and coffee maker. The workmanship in some of these lower priced motels always mystifies me. Who would but a light plate on crooked? But that was a small concern.

Overall, the room was clean and relatively quiet. The bed was very "springy" in that I could hear the coils clank, but it was firm and comfortable. The pillows were nice. The management was kind and helpful and let me check out a few hours late without a hassle.

For the money, for someplace to rest and move on, this was a good choice.

I have stayed at this motel a couple of times, as it is exactly 1/2 way between San Jose, CA & Tucson, AZ. It is surrounded by pretty mountains, snow-capped in the winter, & the temperatures are much cooler than in the Palm Desert just to the east. The motel is always clean & well maintained, with a nice pool. The rooms are large, with dorm fridge & microwave, ironing board, well-stocked bathroom, extra bedding, etc. The sound proofing is quite good, so you don't hear I-10 noise, 'though there is some tooting of train horns at night. Beaumount has plenty of shops, but has a small town feel. The manager & his wife are friendly & helpful. Breakfast is served in the morning, so you can be ready to head out on I-10 for Joshua Tree, Palm Springs, or other points in Arizona, or California. The price is very affordable, with a few dollars savings on the internet, esp. for AARP & such. I highly recommend this gem of a motel. -Laura

We were hauling a moving van, needed somewhere close to freeway and good rest. I was hesitant due to the person answering the phone could hardly speak English and I couldn't understand him. I gave the phone to my husband, which he was the same, eventually someone got on the phone with more clarity of speech. The gentleman who we could not understand was very polite met us at the entry, no other guest, got us concerned, but we were glad to see a nice king size bed with a clean room. However, there is a train that passes very close, so we took a Tylenol PM :) - only heard it before going to sleep *8pm and approx.. 5a.m. I had the gentleman mail some mail, that has yet to be received by the recipients, now a week out.

I stayed once and it was ok. I probably would've given a 3 star rating, you get what you pay for. I came back and I was refused a room because the worker apparently "recognized" me and unfairly accused me of smoking in the room. Smoking pot was implied. I did no such thing, but he wouldn't even let me say anything. Since he had gestured in the general direction of the room I had stayed in and stated a room number, I thought he actually recalled my stay. Flabbergasted, I left only to realize he had stated a different room than I had stayed in. My conclusion is that he mistook me for someone else. I guess all minorities look alike to him (he was so adamant!) and that made me more upset than the fact that I had to seek shelter elsewhere in the middle of the night.

The Holiday Inn Express costs more, but is clean and very professional.

I decided to stay here over Christmas since the newer hotels in the area raised their room rates 50%+ for the holiday. This is a no-frills Roadway Inn that has had a recent makeover. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable if a little soft for my preference. If you are looking for a reasonably priced place to stay this one will be hard to beat.

Note: Like the other hotels/motels in this area you do have the train and freeway noise most of the night. Try to get a lower room number (101-106) to put some distance between you and the freeway/train tracks.

Room was reasonably clean people that work there were very nice. It included a small breakfast. For Budget stay over it was okay, but I won't be back. Suggest you stay closer to the office. I had to end room and it's right next to a big empty field, felt a bit sketchy.

First, we loved the look driving in. It reminded me of the motel we stayed at on our honeymoon 52 years ago.
The room was big and had a wood-look floor. Perfect for our little dog. Big comfortable king sized bed.
The staff were so nice! It has a beautiful outdoor pool but thru the night the winds blew the umbrella over and broke the glass table top. It wasn't safe to use while we were there.
A great place to eat breakfast nearby is Flo's airport cafe in Cherry Valley. We had a hearty breakfast there outside where our dog was welcome.

We are happy that we were able to remind you of your honeymoon. We are very sorry that we had to close the pool, due to the strong winds that broke our furniture. Thank you for staying with us. We hope that your dog had a wonderful trip as well. Sincerely, Eunice
