What a fantastic new accommodation on Aitutaki. We can't say enough wonderful things about this great place. First, the staff are absolutely amazing-caring, friendly and go out of their way to help you. The rooms are spotless with very comfortable beds, large bathroom and a kitchenette if you want to cook. Kayaks and SUPs are provided on-site and I understand they will soon get bikes. A morning breakfast is included with the most amazing smoked marlin, The restaurant is fantastic serving huge portions at very reasonable prices. We had previously stayed just a few yards from here, but are so glad we did not rebook the old place. While we are not "resort" types, this feels more like a small hotel where you are considered family. We give them an 11 out of 10!

I stayed at this property with my wife and college age daughter and had a fantastic time! We were picked up at the airport and the resort is only a 10 min drive. The property is located on a wonderful beach facing calm lagoon waters and paddle boards and kayaks are always available. As others have noted, the resort is very new and everything from the back deck to all the appliances are brand new! The rooms are very comfortable, each with their own AC system and each pair of units has laundry machines! The grounds are beautiful with two pools, tropical plants, and plenty of tables and lounge chairs on the beach. The restaurant has opened and it has a bar (happy hour from 4-5) and wonderful food from pizzas to fresh fish and a nice continental breakfast is included 😀. In addition to wonderful facilities in a great location, the staff is soooo nice! I was talking to a server about coconut crabs and she offered to try to have someone go out and find one so they could cook it for me! Haha😀 unfortunately it would have taken 3 days and we only had two left sooo.. The manager can line up activities, give advice, and allowed us to stay until 4pm on checkout day for a reasonable fee. The staff obviously really cares about their visitors and their facility and they made our stay incredible. I would love to return to Aitutaki and would absolutely stay at this property again!

Everything and everyone in Resort Tava'e is beyond my expectation! Upon arrival in Aitutaki, I was picked up by the staff with garlands. The room was clean and well-prepared when entering, with petals on the desk, cabinets and the dressing table and the bottle in the refrigerator full with water, which were very impressive. The facilities in rooms are new and the wide view of lagoons and the sea from inside the room is fantastic. The location of Resort Tava'e, in the middle of the west seaside part of Aitutaki, is not the best but of great convenience. It is not far from the northwest part near the airport where people can snorkel to find fish and other creatures living in the coral reefs. Moreover, the lagoon near Resort Tava'e is also great for canoeing for its adequate depth. You may not easily get stuck in coral reefs. By the way, Resort Tava'e has many new kayaks and canoes free of charge. Additionally, there is a lifeguard sitting on the beach. As for the service and the staff there, they are hospitable and helpful. I got no reservations for anything as I arrived in Aitutaki, but the staff of the front desk, literally everyone during 4 days, helped me booking these as follows: the car lease, the Teking's lagoon cruise and the Kaotea's deep sea fishing. They found several charterers of cruise and fishing in fact, but some of those were out of service. As a result, the staff kept calling everyone available for activity booking for me. I wound not have experienced such a remarkable Aitutaki vacation without the assistance and service from Resort Tava'e. One of other things that needs to be emphasized was that Charles, the manager, helped me in drying my iPhone which got some sea water sprays in its charging interface, utilizing the large-power vacuum compressor, which was miraculous and dramatic! It saved my keeping connection with my family and friends in the following days. Another clerk found my slippers left near their front desk when I was in a mess in getting everything done and rushing to take the shuttle of Resort Tava'e for the airport. It was when I arrived the Aitutaki airport that she rid a motorcycle with my slippers there. Great gratitude to all of them! I will not hesitate about choosing where to live if I plan to go to Aitutaki again.

Tava'e Resort is boutique and modern but keeping Cook Island charm. The poolside room was spacious and although faced onto the pool and opposite rooms they were private. The beachfront unit looks really special facing out to the lagoon but the poolside rooms are only a few steps back from the beach-front. There were complimentary snorkel sets available, beach towels and fruit in our room.
The bed is big and comfy, gorgeous rainfall shower with lovely toiletries. The aircon was a saviour and the umbrella thoughtful. Filtered tap water in the room was great and there was even a bottle chilling in the fridge when we arrived.
Andrew provided an amazing concierge service and arranged two dinner reservations, a lagoon cruise for the following morning and a rental moped within less than an hour of arrival. Amazing! Ange and Charles were ever-present and always ensuring guests were happy and firmly on island time. All the staff are very warm and friendly.
The resort is within a short walk of Tamanu Beach next door and Pacific Resort slightly further in the other direction for dinner and drinks (definitely make reservations) and having a rental was great for us to explore restaurants further afield. Tava'e would be our only choice for Aitutaki, it has all the amenities of the larger resorts packed up neatly into a more personal experience.

This is a beautiful place to stay. We are glad we did not do the beach front for the extra charge as some of those units have some blockage from the beach view and ours was around one of the two pools. The unit had everything one would need with good AC too. Very clean and nice. Has a wonderful restaurant next door which makes this very convenient place to stay. There is a small convenience store about a 30 min walk but the hotel will drop you off too. My only complaint is that this is a family resort and there were so many kids in both pools all day which made it quite noisy and not welcoming to take a dip to cool off. Maybe we were there at the wrong time as it seemed that several of the rooms were taken by same family of many and they spent a lot of time at the pools which are not big and have nice chairs around it but the chairs in front of our unit were being used so we just closed the drapes to feel private.

It starts with being greeted on arrival with free transfers, and beautiful lei. The resort is new, like brand new so the facilities are at a high level, and plenty of staff maintaining it on the daily too. The team is very friendly and very accommodating, if you want anything ask them and they will arrange it. It deserves every part of the 5 star review, for cook islands, great WI-FI heaps of TV channels, the amenities in the room has everything you need, even a clothes rack to dry your clothes. The pool(s) are beautiful but right out the front is pure magic, snorkel straight out turn left, some of the best snorkelling on the island, nice soft pillow top bed, If we ever come back we will come here, thanks to everyone at Resort Tava'e for making our stay amazing!

We booked this hotel on less than 24 hours notice and what can I say - we struck gold.
From the very beginning staff were extremely helpful in picking us up after we had a tour. Greeted by the lovely Lea who helped us out and organised transport (herself) in less than 15 minutes. We arrived just after midday and were lucky enough to have our room ready. We checked in and were surprised at how new the room looked and felt (the photos didn’t do it justice).
We had dinner on site at the new restaurant, we loved the food and enjoyed the amazing sunset Aitutaki had to offer.
The beach and pool were a nice relaxing zone and there was plenty of water gear and activities available such as snorkels, kayaks and paddle boards.
Once it was time to check out, we were fortunate enough to be offered a late check out (midday) as our flight was leaving at 2pm. Again organised by the lovely Lea. We were then dropped off at the airport on time for our departure to Rarotonga.
Overall would definitely recommend the new Resort Tava’e. Can’t wait to spread the word back home.

Such an awesome experience from the moment you walk into your rooms you have this beautiful aroma from local flowers.
Your rooms are so serviced daily if you wish they even provide you with a beach towel.
The restaurant is value for money if you dine in you must try one of their pizzas the breakfast buffet is so yum there is plentiful local produce not forgetting to mention this smoke Marlin yum
Beyond side activities such as kayaking and snorkeling were so fun my family thoroughly enjoyed this activity.
The staff at Resort Tava'e are so friendly and helpful

I am an avid traveler (50+ countries) and I just spent a week at the Resort Tava'e. It was amazing!! The rooms are spacious and very clean. The entire staff is so friendly and after a week we did not want to leave. They really make you feel right at home. The location is perfect, right on the beach, the clearest water you will ever see. You can snorkel, kayaks and SUP are available free of charge. I highly recommend it! We are actually planning on coming back for 3 weeks next year. Serge

Resort Tava'e sweeps and rakes the beach in front of their property daily. That really shows the care they have to ensure their property is pristine and their guests have a first class experience. The resort is right in front of a huge beautiful lagoon which we enjoyed daily. Our bungalow is right in front of the two pools and even has a bit of ocean view. There are so many lovely little touches from the little flowers around the rooms to a nice big bowl of fresh fruit. The room is very spacious with everything nicely laid out.
The staff is so welcoming and helpful, great ambassadors for Aitutaki. Everyone we encountered were really nice, from the excellent front desk, to the housekeeping and the grounds crew. Extra kudos to the beach staff who kept a helpful eye out for us and always lending a hand with the paddle boards and kayaks. It was nice to have the beach staff so visible, especially for beginner swimmers.
