This was my second visit to Zoetry Agua, and I think it was even better than the last time. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, our concierge, Dio, made sure that we had everything we could ever need, and went above and beyond to help us. The grounds were lush and well maintained, and the spa and extra services made our relaxation complete. The food overall was excellent, and we must give a special thanks to Paloma at Indigo for setting up a special local Dominican lunch for us. We were there for New Year's Eve, and the dinner, entertainment, and special programming was superb. We were truly thrilled with all the staff, the location, and the overwhelming sense that everything at this resort was designed to make us feel very special.

No matter what words I say will ever describe the true beauty of Zoetry Punta Cana! It was my first vacation and I truly believe no others will amount to it. Will was our concierge and always replied to our questions promptly, everyday came to make sure our stay was as relaxing as possible or if there was anything we needed. The friendly staff greeted us every morning with a beautiful smile. The 4 restaurants, you must try them all!! You will definitely order extra! The entertainment was fantastic in the evenings. Property is very clean and the room we stayed in was unbelievably gorgeous! Pools were always maintained on a daily basis. The beach, OMG!! I was worried when I booked this vacation that the beach wouldn't be clean and there would be seaweed throughout the water but nothing!! Beautiful white sand, seaweed free water and very very quiet. You can take a romantic horse back ride on the beach. Many excursions to choose from. If you want a snack or something to munch on at 2-3 am in the morning, you can order room service. You can have a burger beautifully cooked at 2-3 am! Like I said at the beginning, no words I say will be enough to describe Zoetry. We did not want to leave. You must must MUST visit! Thank you so much Will for everything and we will definitely be back ☺🏝

Zoetry Agua is possibly the most tranquil of all the Punta Cana resorts. It is small and intimate without feeling claustrophobic. The staff is beyond wonderful and accommodating. Our concierge, Enriquez, prepared a special birthday dinner for my father-in-law at Amaya. There were balloons and flower petals decorating the table and at the end, they brought a chocolate cake for the table and sang.

The food is excellent. The lamb at Amaya is a must try. The steak from the room service menu is also top notch. We had a room with pool access and were right in sight of the wet bar—the poolside staff walked out to us to bring food and drinks! The horseback riding experience was neat and a great way to break up the week. The complimentary massage was fantastic as well. I bought an additional facial service from the spa associate at the pool and she threw in another 20 minute deep exfoliation for free on top of a 20% discount.

The Coco Cafe makes a great latte and the Dominican coffee in the morning cannot be beat. The intimacy of the resort means you get to know the staff since they rotate from place to place as the day goes on—and they really get to know your favorite snacks and drinks!

Also the FREE laundry!! 12/10 would come back.

Other notes: utilize the mosquito spray if you plan on going to the beach or take advantage of the horseback riding experience. The scented candles in the lobby also seem to attract them. Those were the only two times I got bit.

We just spent 3 weeks at Zoetry. It truly was Paradise! We loved everything about it. The beach was perfect for long walks, swimming or just lying around. It wasn’t crowded and there were always loungers available.
Our room was ocean front and the nightly sound of the ocean was spectacular and soothing. Beautiful Bethania made sure our room was always perfect and greeted us each night with a different romantic flower scene on our bed.
The pool bar was a great spot to hang out and enjoy the frequent lunchtime shows and special food service such as BBQ, Paella, ceviches, Tacos and much more. But by far our favorite thing about the bar was the staff!! We were so well taken care of by Carlos and Carlos and Rosa (with the hat) and Rosie (with the red lipstick) and Elenie! They were all so happy and kind and always ready with a big smile and a laugh. They really made our day!!
The spa massages (we did 10) were spectacular! Special thank you to all of the amazing women who did our massages: Jessie, Ana, Juana and Romi!
And now for the restaurants. We were very impressed with the food at all of the restaurants. Piragua which served local Dominican food, try the fried red snapper and the lobster. Amaya which served Mediterranean food with the most delicious lamb chops and shrimp and Olena the Italian restaurant where we loved the penne arrabiatta and the seafood lasagna BUT the truly amazing thing about all of these restaurants is that you can order anything you want “off menu” and they will happily prepare it for you!! Psst.....try the local fried chicken at Amaya and ask for Chef Edgar's hot sauce!! And yes the food was fantastic but the best part about all of the restaurants was the staff!! Where to start.. restaurant manager Ambiori with the amazing laugh and great sense of humour! Jendi who was always ready with a smile and a wink. And of course who could forget Junior and Orlando (AKA Tampa or Miami). You guys were always so attentive and entertaining! Our super fun hostess Topaz, the best servers ever; Filet and Eduardo!! And of course Robinson, our super sweet smiling sommelier.
From the Coco Cafe ...we love you Marisa. You make the best coffees and we couldn't start our day without those super special mini sandwiches ;)
Javier, Rube and Stephanie - from UVC - you guys were a pleasure to see each and every day. And finally a huge thank you to Alejandro our butler, for everything. You were a magician and made all of our wishes come true!

One of the only vacation spots I have visited where everything was as advertised. The staff was beyond friendly and gracious ond no one passed by us without speaking. We had some bad weather and some seaweed washed on shore, but they were quick to get a tractor out and clean it. The grounds were breathtaking and so relaxing.

We did not take full advantage of all of the spa amenities, but had 2 massages a piece and were wonderful.

Indigo was our favorite restaurant, wish it would have been open for dinner. Swim up bar was great as well as lobby bar. Olena was a great dinner place and offered wine tasting where we all got full serves. Only negative part of the food that was disappointing was Piruagua(misspelled I think), it was always an hour wait on food and it was never busy. All other restaurants were full and food was out quickly. Was worried about waits with limited spots to choose from, but longest wait was 10 min and we just sat at lobby bar.

Again staff was out of this world, everyone from hospitality to grounds crew to cleaning always spoke and always had a smile and eager to help. All wait staff was helpful and even heard them help other vacationers with adjustments to menu to help their needs. Alejandro, our concierge was wonderful and really made our stay.

We just returned from two weeks at Zeotry Agua and loved it. It is a quiet property tucked into a rural setting on a spectacular stretch of beach. The grounds are kept absolutely pristine, with native fruit trees and abundant flowers and palms. Just gorgeous! The pools and beach were kept super clean and were equally warm & inviting with plenty of chairs, umbrellas & thatched roof palapas on the beach. Nightly entertainment in the lobby was excellent if not always our preferred style. Angel on Sundays & Ariel on Mondays were fabulous!!! So fun! Our room 252 was on the second (top) floor with thatched ceiling & view of the pools & on out to the ocean. Since it's a small property I don't think there's a bad room or view, but we did love our room. Housekeeping kept it immaculate. Mini bar is limited. But 24 hour room service is a nice touch and very good. We had a standing order for coffee, juice & croissants (not the best) every morning at 7. It was always on time & "usually" accurate.
Indigo was the only restaurant open for breakfast and lunch and service there was very slow. Fresh squeezed orange, passion fruit or pineapple juice every day was a treat! The evening restaurants, were good, but not great in our opinion and the menu never changed so got old after the first week. We would have appreciated more variety, plus the restaurants look a little tired. The second week there was amazing paella, tacos & burgers prepared poolside on different days for lunch. The three milk cake was delicious!!
The spa is lovely, though services were expensive. We did use the complimentary 20 minute massage, which was excellent, as well as the aquatherapy room with was very nice!
As noted, this is a very quiet resort & not for those who need constant activities and loud entertainment. Our favorite staff were... our girl, Alejandra at the beach bar, who is always singing & makes THE BEST Caipirinhas! Jairo & Jimmy a the lobby bar, DJ Jose, who also does some water classes. He has all the moves! Servers Plata & Merlyn were so friendly. Bellhop, Marial works so hard! Also, our butler, Alejandro was the best! He got several issues with our room fixed asap!

This was a nice 4 star level resort (not 5). I’ll start by saying the resort was very relaxing and the staff very friendly and meant well except for the front desk manager who was very rude and did not handle us having a cockroach in our bed in a respectful way. For this reason alone I would not come back, but otherwise it was nice.

Atmosphere is very relaxing, beach has wonderful soft sand and warm water. Seaweed in April was not too bad (was present but did not interfere with us enjoying the ocean). Though the resort was full, it did not feel crowded and especially on the beach we often saw only a few other people.

Food was not good. Only enjoyable food was at Olena (Italian restaurant) and Indigo (breakfast/lunch with great views on the beach). Would otherwise avoid the other restaurants. Our order was wrong more than 50% of the time at all restaurants, I think this was because the staff did not speak English that well but did not want to seem rude by asking for clarification. As a result I think they often guessed at what we meant and it was frequently not right. However they were very friendly and meant well so I don’t hold it against them! Would just heavily recommend you speak in Spanish if possible.

Now to the cockroach.. our room was very nice, it was a 3rd floor pool view room which was quiet and had a partial view of the ocean from the deck. It was spacious and clean EXCEPT that on one of the last nights there was a cockroach in the bed! Being in the tropics, we definitely expected some bugs which are unavoidable but a cockroach crawling in the bed (actually, I awoke to find it crawling on me) was unacceptable. We called the front desk who said housekeeping would come to clean the room and change the sheets, but when they never showed up, we called again to find out that they had already left and there was nothing to do. So we weren’t able to sleep that night because we didn’t want to sleep where there had just been a cockroach and potentially eggs.

The next day we spoke with the front desk manager, Francisco (Frank), who was shockingly rude. When we explained what happened and asked for a 1 night refund due to not being able to sleep in the bed, he said “that is not a big deal, I don’t consider that a big deal” repeatedly. When we said that we couldn’t sleep and that this wasn’t very good service for a >$700/night room, he asked us where we spent the night then and otherwise interrogated us in a very unprofessional manner. As compensation he offered us 2 of their cheapest massages (which wasn’t really much of a compensation because everyone already gets a $200 coupon which covers a massage already) as well as a refund of the $150 we had paid to upgrade to the room which we ended up not being able to sleep in. Overall this interaction spoiled our entire impression of the resort and the way it treats its customers. Since having that experience I read other reviews on here with similar issues including a woman who found a mouse in her room (no refund; was only not fined for leaving early!).

Sadly we will not be returning here because we felt so disrespected as customers by the front desk manager Frank. Otherwise it would have been a lovely experience.

We had such a g at time during our stay at Zoetry! It was very clean and the extra safety measures taken for covid precautions made me feel extremely safe. They took care of everything from the moment we left down to the Covid test we had to take before we left to return to the United States- talk about stress free! They still had great activities to keep you entertained throughout the day. We loved Jose who had high energy and really listened to and adapted to what activities we wanted included in our vacation. Jandler and Robinson worked hard to make sure we always had what we needed be it food or drink! The bartenders all kept an eye on our drink levels and would memorize your favorite orders to keep them coming if you got low. Be sure to take advantage of the beach side horse back riding and be aware that the day excursions led by Amstar take 2 hours to get to the location AND 2 hours to get home- so it's a full day!

We are UVC members and have stayed at 7 Secrets resorts and decided to try Zoetry. I loved the small size of the resort and the overall zen feeling with lots of healthy food options. The resort was less than half full due to the coronavirus pandemic, so it felt like we had the resort to ourselves.

There are many ways that Zoetry is different from the Secrets resorts we have previously stayed at. There is no Preferred section or rooms at this resort, there is really no Preferred Lounge, there are no banners on your door when celebrating events, no entertainment staff, very little nighttime entertainment and no restaurants that cater to members for breakfast. All 4 restaurants are sit down service, there are no buffets.

They do offer members a complimentary 45 minute horseback ride on the beach, which we did not take advantage of, as well as a complimentary 20 minute massage at the spa.

The staff are all great, very friendly and helpful and remember your name, room number and drink preferences.

We had a swim out room which was very nice, It was quite large, with every amenity that you need and one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in. The air conditioner was quite powerful which kept the room nice and cool and perfect for sleeping. The patio leading to the pool was very private with a table and chairs and 2 comfortable chairs to relax in. We did get some bug bites, most likely from the time spent on the patio.

The pools were beautiful, a bit chilly and mostly empty, probably due to the windy conditions. The 2 lazy rivers have bridges crossing over at several locations, and at most of them there is a wall under the bridge prohibiting you from swimming from one section to the next.

We walked both directions on the beach and there are no resorts for quite a distance in either direction.

We enjoyed the food, the Italian restaurant (Olena), had the best food by far.

By the time we left, there were only 38 people left in the resort and we learned that they closed the borders the next morning at 6:00 am, so we were lucky to get back home while we did.

Highly recommend this resort if you are looking for something quiet, zen and peaceful.

This hotel has amazing grounds. They have taken every opportunity to assimilate to the surroundings and you feel as if you’re in a haven in the tropics. Highs include the size and quality of the rooms, perks such as free guest laundry, free horseback riding, wine tasting, cigar rolling, yoga, premium spa treats in the room. The staff could not be nicer nor more welcoming. Everything is clean and immaculate. Lows include quality and diversity of the food. I’m not sure if it’s just Dominican food (I’ve been to mostly all inclusive in Mexico), or this resort. There are no Buffets which many would appreciate but the food is pretty much the same at each restaurant and not very flavorful. The pasta at Olena is great but the breakfasts especially are disappointing. The drinks are fresh and there is every attention to detail so no complaints there.

Is this an adults only resort?

It takes all day to go there and back. We thoroughly enjoyed the sights on the way and especially the island itself. I could have spent the whole day on the island but was only on the island for a total of 2 hours. The food they served us on the island was good or better than what we had at Zoetry. Do it you will have no regrets.

to get your correct answer please contact the Resort directly We stayed in a Suite - all rooms are suites at this rate, the decor might be different - Our suite was on the second Floor some suites in another section are on the third floor& 4th floor. there are no elevators in the various buildings, so keep on climbing staircases, I am over 84 and had a hard time to get to the second Floor. Have a great stay, Concierge JOSE is Top Notch ask for him....
