Clean, tidy and good value in an excellent location, Small items for attention are fixing the bathroom door rather than just providing a door jam. Breakfast arrangements got a bit confusing. Restaurant was locked when we arrived but quickly sorted.

Just note that this location bears what seems to be the full brunt of the wind across False Bay. Nothing the hotel can do about that.

Our stay was very enjoyable and everyone had a great time. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Everything was neat and clean.
Being at Boulders beach it was extremely busy which we expected, however parking is a big problem and we often had to park miles away and move the cars later at night to get a parking.
We where a big party of 10 and ordered dinner at the hotel one evening, everyone was disappointed with their meals, the dinner menu is newly introduced and hopefully they will get the quality of food up to a better standard. One of our rooms was Fair View and we had at least 4 to 6 people every day trying to enter our apartment to use the bathrooms, its just a little unclear what's the restaurant, private accommodation or reception, maybe some more signage.
We will definitely be back.

We booked this cozy hotel because the advertisement appealed to us and the price was very favorable. We were pleasantly surprised by the location and it exceeded our expectations. The staff were helpful and friendly and no question was too much for them. This hotel is located right on the boulders and when i say close I mean very close. Once you step outside the hotel and cross the street you are right at the beach and you immediately see the penguins. Also nearby is the Sanparks entrance that leads you to the boulders beach (free for Sanparks Wild card holders) and let you enjoy these mischievous animals up close without any effort. Do you want to start the morning cheerfully and enjoy the penguins without too much effort? Then book at this location; we took some morning walks among the penguins before breakfast and didn't even need a visit to the Boulders Beach Visitor Center to enjoy the animals.

At the beginning I told staf I made a mistake concerning the departure date. I got the message they would open the room & someone else would book it I could get my money back for those days. The specific room ended up being booked but they did not give the refund since other more expensive rooms were still available, I felt fooled & lied too. Overall staff was really kind and helpful but the manager was not. Also found & cought a few small cockroaches in the room. The bathroom was really pretty & location was good for seeing the pinguïns. Would not recomend staying or Booking for more than 1/2 days but good location if you want to see Boulders Beach.

No milk for coffee
No clean cups and spoons for coffee
No clean towels
No file in room to contact kitchen to order food or milk or get some clean towels.
Check in date: 27 December 2022 (No clean bath) because of an open window.
Not enough plugs available to use hairdryer at mirror. Plus at fridge were broken.
Could not sleep at all the night of the 29th December 2022 as there was to much noise.

The hotel has the perfect location to see the penguins and rest near the park. The common areas are very spacious and decorated, with a very good vibes theme. I loved the relaxing songs that were always playing. I saw penguins all night and monkeys at dawn. The nearby beach is also beautiful. There was a lavender near the pillow I loved, it makes you sleep better. And the bathtub in the bedroom was a plus, with a light that could control the intensity. An unforgettable night.

We have fond memories of visiting the hotel for lunch many times while living in Cape Town and wanted to relive some of those special, magical moments.

Below is a brief list of our experiences, though I could elaborate further if needed.

1. We rented two rooms.

The condition of the rooms upon our arrival was startling. For example, in the bathroom of the first room, cleanliness had been markedly neglected, evident by a blood-stained plaster in the bathtub.

The situation in the second room was no less problematic, with a toilet that refused to flush. Our daughters had to resort to unconventional and imaginative methods to manage a basic necessity.

2. Service
Our experience with the hotel's service was deeply troubling, especially considering my wife's stage 4 cancer condition, which sometimes leads to emergencies.

We needed to visit a pharmacy at 7:15 PM but found our car blocked in. No staff could be found despite it still being within the hotel's operating hours. All our attempts to reach someone via emergency contact numbers went unanswered.

The lack of response and follow-up highlighted an unacceptable laissez-faire attitude towards fellow human beings.

We believe that the establishment should change its focus.

We left Simonstown early the next day with a sour taste in our mouths.

I was very disappointed in the hotel, the rooms are VERY basic, the glass shower wall had a huge crack in it and a very old curtain, the washing lines and laundry were right outside our bathroom window and the staff were in there from 7am on a Sunday morning going about their daily tasks . Very noisy, no restaurant. There was black mold in the cupboard under the sink in the kitchen which you could smell the minute you walked in and for an establishment that has one of the best locations and views in Cape Town everything else was 3rd class. the pictures on the website of the Hotel i think must be pretty old as not what i encountered. Upon booking out I was not even asked how our stay was or if there was anything we needed.

The room was quite sweet but unfortunately had no air conditioning and unfortunately very little storage space.
The location is unbeatable and we even had penguins under our window at night.
We were also unaware that Simon’s Town is soooo far from the centre of Cape Town. So we spent a little more money on the transfer.

Loved our stay at Boulders... the staff was accommodating to my requests and made sure i got the best experience.

My room was upgraded simply because it was available and at no additional costs
The price was decent.

The room was clean and left smelling fresh with air as the rooms are kept well aired until guests arrive.

Quiet surroundings other than the penguins and easy access to lounge and fire area for those nights.

My second time staying at boulders and was never dissapointed

Likewise: I can't help you on your cancellation, but I highly recommend re-booking this accommodation when possible, as we enjoyed our stay there very much earlier this year.
