Just note that this location bears what seems to be the full brunt of the wind across False Bay. Nothing the hotel can do about that.
Being at Boulders beach it was extremely busy which we expected, however parking is a big problem and we often had to park miles away and move the cars later at night to get a parking.
We where a big party of 10 and ordered dinner at the hotel one evening, everyone was disappointed with their meals, the dinner menu is newly introduced and hopefully they will get the quality of food up to a better standard. One of our rooms was Fair View and we had at least 4 to 6 people every day trying to enter our apartment to use the bathrooms, its just a little unclear what's the restaurant, private accommodation or reception, maybe some more signage.
We will definitely be back.
No clean cups and spoons for coffee
No clean towels
No file in room to contact kitchen to order food or milk or get some clean towels.
Check in date: 27 December 2022 (No clean bath) because of an open window.
Not enough plugs available to use hairdryer at mirror. Plus at fridge were broken.
Could not sleep at all the night of the 29th December 2022 as there was to much noise.
Below is a brief list of our experiences, though I could elaborate further if needed.
1. We rented two rooms.
The condition of the rooms upon our arrival was startling. For example, in the bathroom of the first room, cleanliness had been markedly neglected, evident by a blood-stained plaster in the bathtub.
The situation in the second room was no less problematic, with a toilet that refused to flush. Our daughters had to resort to unconventional and imaginative methods to manage a basic necessity.
2. Service
Our experience with the hotel's service was deeply troubling, especially considering my wife's stage 4 cancer condition, which sometimes leads to emergencies.
We needed to visit a pharmacy at 7:15 PM but found our car blocked in. No staff could be found despite it still being within the hotel's operating hours. All our attempts to reach someone via emergency contact numbers went unanswered.
The lack of response and follow-up highlighted an unacceptable laissez-faire attitude towards fellow human beings.
We believe that the establishment should change its focus.
We left Simonstown early the next day with a sour taste in our mouths.

The location is unbeatable and we even had penguins under our window at night.
We were also unaware that Simon’s Town is soooo far from the centre of Cape Town. So we spent a little more money on the transfer.
My room was upgraded simply because it was available and at no additional costs
The price was decent.
The room was clean and left smelling fresh with air as the rooms are kept well aired until guests arrive.
Quiet surroundings other than the penguins and easy access to lounge and fire area for those nights.
My second time staying at boulders and was never dissapointed
