Million dollar view from a huge balcony, comfortable bedrooms each with an ensuite, large lounge room and a full kitchenette. The host was amazing, gave us lots of useful info and recommendations. We left a shirt behind when we checked out, and the host rang us straight away and arranged to have the shirt dropped off to us while we were still in the neighbourhood. Can’t fault this place, 10/10 and one of the best stays in South Africa!

A troop of baboons was raiding the houses in the morning and stole some food from the neighbours. Please make sure you shut all the doors!

Let's just say, at the end of our stay we actually wanted to buy the place and stay in definitively.
The Albatross is blessed with an amazing sea view that is breath taking. The rooms are supercomfy, cosy and spacious. All necessary items from towels in the bath rooms to the kitchen supplies are plentily available and you won’t miss a thing. Service and cleanliness are outstanding and I do not think, we even managed to eat all of the offered delicious breakfast selection.
When we return, we will certainly book our stay at the Albatross and so should you if you get the chance.

Hi everybody!

Here I write down some thoughts about trip in SA and stay in Albatross House.

The best way to travel here it's rent a car, second one using local taxi app Bolt.

Hotel have convenient location you can easily reach a Boulder's Pinguins Park and from here is shortest way to go in Cape Point with car.

Need to notice in a port are some activity like kayaking and so on, and of course in Simon's Town you can have a good time in bars. I recommend Piping Bosun with living music every friday, I promise you don't regret.

The stuff mustsee are botanic park Kirstenbosh, Cape Point, safari and the ocean on sea trip.

So, for all questions, you can contact Andre, he will be happy to help you and make your trip even more interesting.

Unfortunately, we were not given important information prior to booking (and paying). It was inconvienant to be told when we should arrive. Only after a negative response from us was the option of keys being placed in some sort of key lock offered. But the killer for us was the firm instruction that No valuables should be left in the vehicle. we were on a road trip round SA and had a lot of things in the vehicle from as trivial as beach bats and umbrellas to coolerboxes. To arrive late at night and then have to schlep everything out the vehicle is unaccetable. This should have been made knwn from the start. Unfortunately our request for a refund or even a partial refund was spurned. We stayed elswhere in the area at additional cost.

We travelled with the family and stayed for 6 days at Albatross. The location is very nice and the view from the terrace is beautiful over the False Bay and Cape Town night lights.
The accomodation was very clean, and comfortable. Both od bedrooms are having bathrooms and double beds with a nice bedding. Good WIFI, parking just 5 meters from the place. You would need a car to go down to town. The arrea is peaceful and quiet, the only problem can be baboons, they are arrond town all the time, I would reccomed to keep terrace doors closed all the time and used windows/ there are safe chains . Owner Andre is a wealcoming and nice , helped us to book our leasure trips. We would definitley stay again there.

A wonderful place with picturesque views. Clean and spacious rooms with all the things you could possibly need. The host was super friendly when checking us in and was available if we had any questions. A quiet place with easy access to the beach and tourist sites.

We stayed for 3 nights in the garden apartment which has 2 separate en suite bedrooms and a central open plan kitchen, dining area and comfortable lounge with Dstv. We loved the beautiful views over False Bay and the Simons Town harbor. There are walking trails to Admirals Waterfall and more a few steps from the front door. Andre is an excellent host. Highly recommended for family stays!

If you want lovely views, a really comfortable bed and a delicious breakfast on your balcony every morning then look no further than Albatross House. My husband and I and our daughter reserved the whole apartment for our 6 day stay and enjoyed every minute of it. A car is essential and a few written instructions on how to use the toaster and microwave oven would have been handy!

Albatross House offers beautiful views in a tranquil setting. We stayed in the family suite (2 bedrooms en-suite) and shared lounge/kitchen - it was well appointed and clean. There is a wonderful patio area where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the beautiful bay area. Parking available. It was a lovely stay.

Thank you for your questions. The handrails do lead all the way to the middle apartment. However not all the way to the bottom apartment. However when you stay in the bottom apartment you make use of steps to a parking area below the house and these steps do have handrails. We do make use of a local shuttle service that can transport our guests from the guest house to Simons Town. This is charged at R55 per trip. We also offer our own transport for guests to further locations should they require this. This is quoted according to where guests would like to go. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further information.
