We stayed in the Hillside Cabin and it was very comfortable and well maintained. There is a charcoal grill, rocking chairs and a picnic table on the porch. There is also a picnic table in a screened-in-area as well. There is a queen sized bed as well as a full sized bed upstairs and one bathroom that is downstairs. There is no tv, no internet and no wifi so it is the perfect place to unplug and relax. The hot tub was amazing after hiking the Lost Valley Trail and canoeing the Buffalo River. The hill off of State Road 43 that leads to the cabin is VERY STEEP as are the stairs leading to the cabin as well as the stairs inside the cabin. I would not recommend this location for anyone on a motorcycle or with knee or health problems. The cabin also comes with a beautiful gray cat that is perfect for those that love animals. Very peaceful and relaxing place to spend some quality time with family or friends.

I have gone to Lost Valley on each vacation I was able to scrape up the money to go on in the time I moved to Arkansas. That has been sadly only 2 but I have to say of all the places this one is it. To be able to get that close to nature but still have all the trappings of city life was great. The people well I cant say enough of how good they were. Even when they thought we were crazy for going out on a canoe this last stay the trudged up the road and set us off. They were kind and made sure we were having a great time. The cabins I am sure will reflect on the type of people they are seeing how they have games there for your kids, books to while away the evening out on the porch if the hot tub doesnt drag you there and a journal so that you can write what you trip has given you. I so enjoy reading what everyone has to say and by far this is only tiny bit of the praise they all deserve for making my life a bit better and making my vacation a true family time. Thanks Lost Valley. When I leave Arkansas and I know I will I will do what I can to get back there.

We really were impressed with our first getaway to Lost Valley - We stayed in the quaint creekside cabin- SO SWEET! It was really perfect in every way! Clean, cozy, and a really HOT hot tub on the deck overlooking a soothing creek...We felt like newlyweds, ( we were celebrating 20 years together!)...We hiked up the creek one day- were able to get some snacks from our hosts at the store next door ( THEY were SO great- treated us like family- so that is how we felt- )..
I really cannot recommend this place enough. We will go back again and again, It is a perfect, relaxing place to stay-and the LOW GAP Cafe is only a 20 min drive away- so there is FINE dining so close!!! STAY here if you can,, You will NOT regret it...!!!.

In 20 some odd years family and I have stayed in every facility several times, with exception of Yurt and that is coming up soon....EVERY time the experience was great with incredibly friendly staff that make you feel like family and understand the meaning of hospitality......their cabins are all rustic, no fancy flash, but very comfortable with a private hot tub that is great after a day on the river or hiking the hills. A great place to make memories for families and couples alike.

Ponca has population of 13 and is in Lost Valley area of Arkansas. The photography is wonderful: Elk, old barns, farms, churches, mountains, caves, rivers(canoeing/kayaking), etc. Little to no wifi or cell, no TV. The cabin has 4 rooms: main, bath, bedroom, and sitting room. Also full kitchen and shower bath. There are several steps in cabins and tall step to enter - not good for disabilities. Clean, large deck, and hot tub. Can hear critters at night on roof. Only double bed and sleeper sofa double bed.

We are glad you enjoy the beautiful upper Buffalo River watershed. We have three cabins. Next time you might enjoy our Adds Creek cabin located next to our historic river rock country store for easy access. It has only one step at the front door. Although all of our cabins have hot tubs on the deck, this one overlooks the creek. The other two cabins do have more steps and are not so close to the store. Many of our customers tell us they love our true get-away cabins without the distractions of the digital world. Thank you for staying with us at Lost Valley Canoe & Lodging.

I rented the North Sweet (yes, it's named Sweet not Suite) of the bunkhouse for a hiking trip for me and 4 friends. I was a little nervous going in because I haven't been on an 'outdoorsy' trip in many years but the bunkhouse was PERFECT for us! The 4 bunkbeds in the room were fine for adults. You bring your own bedding and when one of our friends forgot the owners were kind enough to loan him some for the night. The fire pit was an added bonus and we grilled hot dogs on the little BBQ for dinner and made s'mores on the campfire! Best part: the bathrooms are SUPER close to the bunkhouse! Everything was VERY clean and well kept...possibly new construction(?). The store is directly across the street and the wifi was a nice bonus because there is no cell service, however that was kinda nice actually.

Pro Tip: if you plan to have an adult beverage by the campfire, bring it with you. It's a dry county and about a 45 minute drive to get to the nearest beer/liquor store.

We spent two nights in cabin no 3 (the one pictured) - what a wonderful getaway! It is very much a cabin, yet money was spent where it would go the furthest: an excellent mattress (it is a full-sized, not queen, bed) and a great bathroom with a new slate tile floor and shower. Kitchen has everything you need, there is a grill and a hot tub on the deck overlooking the stream (the other cabins are up the hill), and a fire pit out front with two adirondack chairs. Owners are very helpful, and the store has most everything you could need (or that you forgot) at reasonable prices.

This was the best weekend getaway I've had in a very long time! My husband and I rented the Hillside cabin for 3 nights. We invited our good friends from Oklahoma we don't get to see very often to come along. The cabin was perfect. They had everything we needed. It was so cozy and made you feel like you were at home. The large porch with the rocking chairs and the hot tub were a hit with us and is where we spent a lot of time. It did rain while we were there, but we were still able to get a lot of hiking in. My favorite thing to do in the evening was to drive down and look at the Elk. We did not miss cellphones or TV at all. Everyone at Lost Valley Canoe were so nice and helpful and gave us information about places to go see. We will definitely be coming back soon!

Lost Valley Canoe & Cabins in Ponca, AR, is a "Home away from Home". My family & I have been enjoying this wonderful place for many years. Chris, Bryan, their family & Staff have created a relaxing, comfortable & Fun "Base Camp" for hikers, Kayakers, canoers & primitive campers. Sparkling Clean showers & restrooms for Campers. Family & romantic Cabins are vintage & quaint, with Hot Tubs on the decks! A private beautifully decorated Yurt was added this summer. All have comfortable beds. LVC is centrally located in Ponca, close to the beautiful Buffalo River & Wilderness area with amazing hiking trails, herds of elk and great fishing. I highly recommend "this little piece of heaven on earth".
