I requested a handicap room as I recently had knee surgery. What I got was a regular bathroom with 4 bars around the tub. No handicap toilet for someone having trouble standing and no way to bath without climbing over the tub. The hall on the 3rd floor smelt like dirty clothes, I asked another guest I met she said it smelt like dirty feet. T The entire building had the appearance of a once nice Hilton property that had been neglected for several years. The rate was 153 a night way too much for a dump that I booked site unseen because of the Hilton name.
I will start for the good thing, it was clean, beside that nothing else, the person who help me at my checking did not know nothing about the city to orient me about which places visit or at least gime my a paper brochure, then I went to the pool where the floor is broken and I cut on of my thumbs, I try the hot tub where the water was not hot enough, finally I back to my room where I hurt myself with a piece of plastic from the bed support, I took a bath and after that I was disposing to sleep, but guess what, the mattress was the worst mattress ever, and awful night, the experience did not finish there, in the morning I went to the breakfast area where I try to take some eggs but they ran out of eggs, they I took some bread and was trying to get some orange juice and the machine dispense 3 parts of water and one part of juice, that was the last drop to fill the glass. My last weekend I expended on a IHG hotel on beber spring and all in the hotel was so good that I even took a picture of the label of the mattress because we sleep like a baby and breakfast was excellent, definitely this Hilton have a lot to change to improve the service. …
Entirely too expensive especially considering they weren’t even a quarter full. The bathroom ceiling had a huge water stain and mold starting to grow. The room was tiny. Poor service at the front desk. Overall very disappointing.
Everything was outdated in the room. Furniture had lots of scratches and the shower floor was making a cracking noise like it was going to fall through. The AC unit was extremely old (turn knobs on wall unit) and didn’t work well. It ran on high the entire time and the room never got cool. Definitely not what I expected for almost $200/night!! The only great thing about this place was breakfast. Very tasty and variety of choices.
Hotel accommodations are not good. Warm room, wet carpet, old furnishings are the highlights of my stay. I have stayed here many times in the past, and can say the property continues to decline without any apparent interventions by the owners. The one thing that has changed is the cost of staying here...has been going up steadily.
