Detailed Reviews
Camp Sites are grassed, big trees, each with private ablution, wasing up area. Powerpoints and Firepit & loose standing braai at each site. Wifi is also available. Everything was well maintained and very neat. Friendly staff and cleaned our campsite area every morning.

We camped here for 1 night and were pleasantly surprised with the facilities. Each campsite has it's own kitchen area, shower, 2 toilets, washing line, outside washing troughs, wooden table & benches and fire pit. It was clean but a bit old, but all in good working condition.
We ate at the restaurant and the food was good although you need to be patient as the service is a bit slow. The Malva pudding was ice cold and they were happy to warm it, but they were still quite cold
The only negative is the bar next door which pumped music and noise until 00:15

Stayed at the campsite twice in July 2021. SKL group has taken over and the campsites were totally revamped. Sites are all grassed, each with private ablution, wasing up and laundry facility. Powerpoints and Firepit (braai area) at each site. Wifi is also available. Everything was well maintained and neat.
Highly recommended! After searching through the whole of Maun for a decent camping site, this came up as the best !!
The rest of the hotel looked good. Although we did not stay in the rooms, friends who camped with us did on a previous occasion and found them very good.

Campsite on grass nice private ablutions good 2 toilets 1 shower kitchen area, also has a braai and fire pit staff very friendly views from the bar of the river very nice, but flippin heck it’s noisy from a nearby bar along the river music and shouting on microphone until 5am and noisy from the traffic passing by, good job it’s mostly a 1 night stop enroute to elsewhere, not the hotels / camp fault obviously. We stayed Wednesday eve goodness knows what it’s like at a weekend !!!

This camp is the best we found at the time in Maun (we had looked at the others). Ideal stop for self-drivers.
Outside the city, Crocodile camp is a very pleasant place to stop off.
As for the rooms, the bed is very comfortable and the short trips between the chalets are pleasant, even more so with the birdsong and the smells. The swimming pool is also very good.
As for the restaurant, the setting is magnificent but don't eat there, it's not good. Instead, go to town where you will find wonders. On the other hand, having a drink while watching the sunset from the bar is yes.
As for camping, nothing to say. There is space between each camp and each has its own little shower, toilet and dishwashing area. As well as a table. Also nice for a rest stop.

We didn’t knew before we arrived that there would be a party on the 31th of December & January 1st de whole day till 04:00 am on the campsite (where we suppost to stay on the 2nd of January (not possible at all) so we had to pay for our own upgrade for a room. The music was very very loud we only slept 8 hours in 2 nights because of it.
For order drinks & food in the restaurant takes plenty time. On the 31th, there were no chairs at the restaurant & the guy didn’t care at all! Reception tried their best. We waited 3 hours for food & drinks. The second day we had to eat at the bar & had to wait 2 hours this time for 2 soft drinks & pizza’s. We ordered Cola but it was on the festival.
Al their attention went to the parties & not to the guests. Very disappointing. Only plus point was the room which was very clean, but they didn’t replaced the towels.

I loved the place. the people were wonderful. The breakfast was great but if you order anything that is not native botswana food you will be sorely disappointed. It's not made properly and you probably not eat it. Bruschetta? Soaky break with no garlic or basel on it with canned tomatoes and mozerrela (!) over it. Ugh gross. Their "strawberry" cheesecake had no strawberries to speak over but a flavorless red glaze on it. It's too bad too as it's such a nice place. They should toss that chef and get one who can make proper non african dishes or just don't have them on the menu.

Located 15km from Maun and not far from the airport. There is no trace of crocodiles in the river, in fact you can see many cows grazing there. The rooms are clean, large but dark. It has a beautiful garden with a swimming pool. Good breakfast. The staff is courteous and polite. WiFi throughout the property.

The rooms are nice but service and diner/breakfast are very poor!!
At the reception there are not interested in they’re guest. Offers only 1 Safari and otherwise you see by yourself. Food is served cold and sent it back for 3 times. Breakfast is very poor and after 08.00 you can’t get yoghurt or so. Also the hygiëne is very poor!
Never will go here again!

+1
Beautiful place but we waited 2hours for Dinner. Did not go well after a long day and a hungry family.
WiFi all over the premises which was great, rooms were also clean and neat.
Overall an amazing experience. Just the food was an issue and they had not half of the food they advertised on the menu.

I can highly recommend Crocodile Camp (at Northeast end of Maun). It is newly renovated and has a fantastic camping ground in its enclosure. All grass under trees. Good security. Well equipped individual braai and ablution facility at each site. It has a nice restaurant in a lovely setting. An oasis in Botswana. Don't know from which direction you will approach Maun, but avoid the road from Nata. Heaps of potholes and animals roaming around.
