Jia Heng, Vava'u has great potential but most of there advertising is deceptive. I booked in for 2 weeks, but ended up staying for just one night. The 75% completed 'motel' sits atop a small shop which sells your basics including drinks and snacks. There is no communication from them. No visacard mastercard facility... No sat tv Tv broken No internet No wifi No buffet breakfast No 24hr reception No restaurant No airport shuttle No answering phone No kitchen No shared kitchen No english speaking The air conditoner worked well. The toilet and shower stunk... i mean wreaked, so was not used by me. I strongly recommend 'Flying Annie Moa's' down the road in Neiafu.

The hotel room is pretty basic but clean ( a typical 3-star hotel set up in China ). Good value relative to other places in Vava’u. The room rate include free airport transfer and breakfast. Location is also pretty close to town, just a short 10-15 mins walk. The hotel also have kitchen for guests to cook their own meals and there’s a supermarket just below the hotel. A massage chair in the lobby resting area, free for guests to use it.

Jia Heng is basic accomodation which is all you need when your out whale watching on a boat all day. Its convenient to the harbor and the restaurants the town has to offer. Lee, the manager, is very helpful and will tell you all the best places in town/help organize experiences etc.
Wifi is average, rooms are still under improvement and the beds are very very firm. But as stated before, all that you really need for a nights sleep.
