Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Things that made this a great hotel for me definitely included the friendly staff, and the well set up breakfast table. We were picked up from our flight, offered fresh coconut drinks on arrival, and shown our twin room. Unfortunately one of the beds was a bit springy, but not unusual for Tonga. The hot water was temperamental but worked. Breakfast was fresh fruit, cereal and they would offer you cooked eggs on toast also. It is very hot in Vava'u, so the fan in the room is necessary. Place was clean, and they are partners with Beluga diving that we swam with whales with. Flying Annie Moa was very inexpensive. I recommend for budget travellers.

We read previous reviews that this place is really clean and we weren't disappointed. The breakfast is great and you feel like you are really at home. Also it has a nice view of the harbour and the balcony is a great place to relax.

We stayed for 6 nights and found the staff and the breakfast to be really good. The 'deluxe' ensuite room was very basic with no hot water, aircon or TV. We showered in the shared facilities which had hot water. The common areas are very comfortable, with the upstairs balcony lounges a favorite for catching the breeze and resting up after a day on the water. The location is good because it's only a 10 min walk from town but quiet.

Absolutely loved staying at Flying Annie Moa! Rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious and staff were incredibly kind and were able to help us out with any questions we had. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Vava’u!!

This place was homely, comfortable, central to the local restaurants on the wharf, and friendly. Many non-pacific Islanders stayed here. The common areas with deep couches and tables to sit and talk at really made for sharing knowledge and experiences with fellow travellers.
