The room is nice, and big enough for 2 people. The room was a little chilly and we had warm clothes to wear to keep us warm. We didn't know if there were heaters. The lady who was working couldn't speak much English. The hotel is safe and there is a staff member working at night to let you in if you arrive late. It was a great place to stay in Uyuni, and the staff were helpful in getting taxis. Some of the staff didn't speak English, but we were able to use google translate. The breakfast was good and simple. If you want hot water, you have to let them know what time and they will turn it on. The small town is walkable for everything. We had dinner at a Pizza place 5 min from the hotel. Thank you!

Just on the outskirts of town and within walking distance of restaurants. Dona Patricia is an excellent host, kind, friendly and service minded. Free wifi. Check with Dona Patricia if you want hot water, as she then will turn on the water heater. Uyuni is a strange town, your either do not like it, or do not like it at all. But the salar de Uyuni is why every one is here and not the town itself. Do not stay longer that 2 days, unless you are on a three day driving tour. Best to fly in with Amaszonas Airline if your time is limited.

My wife and I recently stayed at Oasis Blanco. We are seasoned travellers but we were overwhelmed by the service we received here. The owner, Patricia, could not have been more helpful and everything was done with a beautiful smile. Unfortunately, while we were in Uyuni my wife had a fall. We got back to the hotel but late at night decided that she needed medical attention. Patricia got out of bed and travelled with us to the medical centre where she acted as interpreter and she didn't get back to bed until 1.30 am. Our room was comfortable and the problems with heating that others have referred to are not a problem with the hotel but exist because of gas rationing in Uyuni. Just ask Patricia and she will see to it that you have a warm shower. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. In-room wi-fi is excellent.

Many of the reviews complain about the cold shower and breakfast. If you talk to the owner, Patricia, about it, everything can be arranged to make you happy. Patricia is very friendly and speaks, english, french, spanish and russian.

We stayed in the hotel twice, in different rooms. The rooms are a bit cold, but the rest is OK. Patricia was always available to answer any question and meet our requests. We loved the personal approach.

We stayed for one night in Uyuni prior to the tour. Everywhere and everything in Uyuni is expensive. So at USD70, it's not so bad, relative to everything else. The bed was clean, warm and comfortable. I didn't get to use their shower so I can't comment. I didn't get to eat their breakfast either. The decor and furnishings might be old but then this is Uyuni, a dingy town in the middle of nowhere. My friend had severe altitude sickness and had to be admitted to the hospital. We wound up having to cancel our tour to the salt flat. The owners were very helpful during the whole ordeal. For that, I am really thankful.

This is quite a new hotel so all the fittings and fixtures were in good shape, unlike some of the older hotels.  The beds were comfortable and the owners/staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English.  The hotel is a couple of streets away from the main street which meant it was very quiet.  The only slight criticism was that the water could have been a little hotter in the morning.  We were very grateful that the owners let us stay very late on our day of departure when our flight was cancelled as the hotel was not busy.

The Hotel is very basic but has everything you need. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and there was hot water in the shower. The lady at the reception was expectionally friendly and helpful.

However this can not be said about the owner of the hotel. We arrived around 10pm (with the train from Oruro) and booked a pick up from the train station. We paid 30 Bolivianos for a 3 minute ride which is already very overpriced. In all fairness the taxi driver did have to wait for us at the station for some time. The really irritating and annoying part was that the hotel owner who had arrived with the very same train hopped into the taxi pretty much without saying anything except for a quick hello. When we arrived at the hotel, he jumped out of the car and simply disappeared without making any effort of paying his share of the ride or at leas saying thank you for it. As a welcome to new arrivals, we thought this was unacceptable and highly unprofessional.

Breakfast was there but it was quite poor. There was bread that seemed to have been there for a few days and the milk smelled sour already. The location is more or less central, but still some distance from most of the other hostels and restaurants.

All in all, it would have been a decent place to stay for Uyuni, which really doesn't have much to offer, but the price of 70 USD per night is just nowhere even close to justified.

I’ll start by saying that we felt this should have been a one star review, but there were a couple of better bits. We arrived in a taxi to find a bit of paper stuck on the door saying closed for renovations, we had booked the hotel 4 days earlier. After some knocking and bell ringing someone came to the door and grudgingly let us in, the place looked like a building site and it did not improve from there. The room was clean so this was a bonus but it was small and there was no natural light, just a tiny window over a central hall/courtyard. Breakfast, which was included, was a disgrace. The scrambled eggs had been cooked an hour earlier and left sitting on the buffet in a bowl, and the list goes on. They advertised laundry service, tour service and daily room service, all fabrications of someone’s mind because they certainly did not exist on our visit, although they did hold our luggage for a couple of days. The reason for 2 stars, the room was clean and the interior of the building quiet beautiful, it has so much potential that with some friendly, courteous and helpful staff and the renovations currently being undertaken, it could be a great place.

This was the only place we stayed at in Peru and Bolivia that had a heated room and that served eggs in the morning. Even when there were heating problems outside of the hotel's control, the owner lent us a space heater for the night. I highly recommend to rest up before and after the salt flat tours.

Uyuni is not a tourist Mecca but Oasis a Blanco is as close to an oasis that you can find in the dusty town. The room was clean and a small electric heater was provided but the cord was very short and we were worried about how close the heater was to the bed (only one outlet accessible in the room). The Wi-Fi was OK and breakfast was very nice with Patricia preparing fresh scrambled eggs. She did indeed try to make our stay pleasurable.
