The hotel is new, beautiful, comfortable and well decorated. It has a nice swimming pool that I didn't test. Bedrooms and bathrooms are a good size, but many do not have windows, or when they do, they are made of glass and do not open (for me, a mortal sin). Simple breakfast, with few options, all served on small plates. At night, I ordered a soup that looked like packaged soup. The city of Uyuni is poor, small and ugly and the hotel is on its edge. There is nothing to see/do in the neighborhood. It had rained and the streets (without paving) turned into mud. Only four streets in the center, very far from the hotel, are paved. What is worth it are the sightseeing tours.

When I planned my trip to the Uyuni Saltflats, I decided to stay one day in the city of Uyuni to relax and explore the area on my own. I booked at the newly built Hotel Boutique Andina and we were more that delighted. From the beginning, the owners made us feel like home and we didn´t really needed to look for anything else. The room was excellent, very well decorated and the best of it, with central heating. Also the meals at the restaurant were delicious. After our first night, we started with them visiting the Saltflats and the Avaroa National Park. An experience that I will highly recommend to those willing to travel to Bolivia and the Uyuni Salt Flats.
