A warm welcome; delicious breakfast; stylish, contemporary interiors with quirky flourishes; relaxed open plan sitting-cum-dining area with reading matter and music galore; and delightful, comfortable bedrooms where every detail has been considered. Westlea is located on a quiet but central street so is perfect for exploring the town or strolling out to one of the restaurants within easy walking distance. If you're looking for a quality, hosted B&B experience with a personal touch in Ullapool, then look no further!

After a rather disappointing booking in Kinlochbervie we decided to check out early and head to our next destination (Ullapool) and looked for a top class hotel/B&B and found Westlea House and what a great choice it was, from the moment we arrived we could tell it was a cut above the rest, a warm welcome greeted us by owners Terry and Shirley. Nothing was too much trouble and the ambiance is exceptional, lounge areas where you are free to play the record collection, bring your own food in or a bottle of wine etc set the mood and atmosphere for a wonderful stress free relaxing civilised stay. The rooms are lovely modern chic, the one I stayed in (Harbour) has a nod to the sea. I can't recommend this accommodation enough and will definitely book to stay again being only a short walk to all the shops, pubs and restaurants yet away from the madding crowd as it were. Simply perfect.

We received a warm and friendly welcome at Westlea with loads of helpful information provided by Terry about places to visit which we found invaluable. Our room, Munro, was excellent, with great views. It was beautifully decorated, very stylish and extremely well appointed. The bath was greatly appreciated after being out walking. Breakfasts were fabulous and there were plenty of options to choose from. Westlea is well located close to the village centre and there is plenty of parking. We loved Ullapool and would certainly stay at Westlea if visiting again.

We stayed at Westlea Guest House for two nights. Shirley and Terry made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was brilliant - we were in "Beach", which was beautifully decorated, and the lounge area with the music and books made our stay feel like we were at home. The whole place was spotlessly clean. Would we stay here again - in a heartbeat. We enjoyed Ullapool too and found everyone there very friendly.

Room Tip: The "Beach" room was large and comfortable overlooking the front of the property.
