I would actually give 3.5 starts but that isn’t an option. I know lots of people that have been here and really enjoyed it so I booked for my partners birthday.
The spa, room and staff were all first class but we were underwhelmed by the restaurant. The atmosphere was somewhat l

I was wondering if Seaham Hall was a T B hospital in the 1940's and 50's ? Thanking you.
Thank you Peter .I visited my wonderful aunt Eva several times whilst she was incarcerated at Seaham Hall, from 1949 to 1959.

We recently visited Seaham Hall and thought it was a wonderful venue. We will most certainly be returning. Can anyone recommend any similar properties in the north of England that we can add to our list of places to visit?
Rockliffe Hall is fantastic too ☺️

just wondering if anyone has compared the spa to spa at Rockliffe Hall? I'm deciding and may help my choice as I've never been to Seaham yet
Hi - I prefer Seaham Hall spa as I find it more relaxed & friendly than Rockcliffe.

Hi, I am looking to surprise my wife with an overnight stay as an anniversary/birthday present. I have been told the room is available from 3pm but can use the spa from noon. How would this work - i.e. can we arrive and use the spa and then walk to our room in our robes? Do people walk around in their robes like spa hotels such as Champneys? Many thanks John
Hi John, yes. Arrive at the Hotel Reception from 12noon, and leave your luggage with them. Then walk through the connecting passage to the Spa, and check in there. When finished you can walk back in your robe to your hotel room where your luggage will be waiting. Regards, David
