Welcome to Enna - Terrace of Sicily The Province of Ennese is really a "special" province. First of all, it is the only one on the island that has no outlets at sea, representing, therefore, the most hidden face of this Sicily to discover, the most mountainous face and, in many ways, also the truest, most "genuine". Its geographical position, then, has greatly influenced the judgment of this province as the best for liveability of the whole of Sicily: already six years ago there were 30 square meters of public greenery for each inhabitant. A figure that means clean air and clean air means better food products. From here, the two things together result in a better state of health, if only for the natural beauty in which the inhabitants of the province live daily. Excellent value for money. Clean and well maintained facility. Very clean. Friendly reception and basic breakfast served by a very polite person. Room cleaned very well every day. A small square next to the hotel. I recommend it to everyone who goes to Enna. Cheap basic clean

We actually booked to stay in Centro di Sicilia B&B. There is a B&B called Centro so don't get confused. Drive to the centre of Enno and you'll see bank de Sicilia in a car park/ square outside. It's literally opposite down the small side road. However, we were to early to book in apparently, but the dad n son turned up on phoning and put us in the Hotel Bristol instead. These people cannot be more helpful. The hotel was good. E erything you need/expect. Aircon, wifi, tv, good breakfast, clean ( have stayed in enough places in Sicily to know this is a safe bet). The beauty is they rip over themselves to help ou. Excellent service. The some speaks good English which make things easy ( he advised us on our parking ticket from Another town and even phoned them to help us sort it out). Enna itself was a trifle disappointing. Don't go to the min piazza unless for a beer and fantastic panoramic views. We didn't find arestaurant and ended up eating in this main part of town to eat in n chips! On our way back to the hotel, we past a proper restaurant. There don't appear to be many so do your homework. My days of junk food are over and. Cetainly am disappointed when in the food heaven of Europe. We stayed there overnight as it looks fabulous and we visited the nearby Vill de Romawhich was amazing. There is a beautiful Duomo which in typical Sicilian style, looks nothing on the outside but incredible inside. There is a castle at the top of the town but not restored/open but there is a great lookout point to climb to appreciate the stunning scenery. Personal assessment? Glad I went, probably won't return. Hotel Bristol was great.

Clean, reasonably comfortable but:
1. A shower so tiny it was hard to turn around in.
2. Front desk staff playing computer games at high volume until after midnight.
3. Don’t trust the woman on the front desk to give unbiased restaurant advice. She will send you to a family place called Sciabbé, which is basic but sound.
You can probably find better.
4. Vehicle access and parking a nightmare.

Very bad experience, when we went down to have breakfast (very bad) the hotel employee took the opportunity to break into our room!! He probably didn't foresee that one of our daughters hadn't come down with us!! Surprise !! He obviously only apologized while trying to stammer out explanations that made no sense!!! So: big doubts about his honesty!!!!!!!!

Almost everything about my two night stay was excellent except the smallness of the shower. It was more snug than an old-time telephone both - about 2' x 2' A benefit from such a small space was that one could not slip and fall in the shower.
That said. let me evaluate my overall experience. The mattress was one of the most comfortable I had ever slept on. If it could fit into my suitcase, then I would of brought it home with me. The cleanliness of the room was commendable. And the best attribute of my stay was the warm and accommodating hospitality I received from all members of this family-run hotel. Dario was the first to greet me on my arrival. He set-up a private invitation for me to attend a small wine tasting event. I returned at 11pm with a limping gait (not from the wine but from spinal stenosis) and Dario's parents and sister were there to receive me (they were probably concerned about the late hours this old man was keeping). The next morning Dario's father called my room to make certain all was well - Tutto bene? Si, tutto va bene.
Hotel Bristol is not only a family-run hotel; they treat their patrons as if they too were family.

This is a lovely 3 star hotel in Enna Alta ( upper town of Enna ). It appears to be owner operated and family run, in either case the front desk staff really cares about its guests.
Very helpful with information, busses, trains, restaurants etc. The rooms are fine and clean, not fancy, ours had a walk out balcony with 2 chairs. There, is air conditioning, tv, comfortable bed and great water pressure when you take a shower (3rd floor), has nice towels and the room and bathroom are very clean. This is a hotel also used by many locals. The hotel is very quite and the breakfast on the lower floor is extremely bright and cheery serving a great variety of very fresh pastries, cheese, cold cuts, cold cereals and fresh squeezed orange juice. There are great restaurants 2 minute walk and parking right out front. This is a fine place to stay for the traveler and the price can't be beat.t

You must, must, must go to Sicily. Not in the summer, when it's beastly hot, but in the winter. In February, the weather was like Southern California, mild and warm. Two weeks with not a drop of rain (see fog below!), and perfect views of Mt. Etna (usually hidden in clouds in the summer). The people are amazing, the views far and near breath-taking, the culture and daily life very interesting, the food fantastico, the ceramics and other souveniers irresistible.
Don't miss a stop at Enna smack in the middle of the island, which is the highest town in Europe. From the top of the tower at the castle on the peak, you can literally see most of Sicily - if the fog doesn't roll in. One minute you almost think you can see the sea; ten minutes later you can't see the huge rock 200' away, and even the base of the tower is indistinct. No wonder Enna often can't be spotted from the plains far, far below.
In Enna, stay at Hotel Bristol, two very short blocks off the main street in the upper, older town. The owners are incredibly nice and bent over backwards to be helpful, and the daughter speaks excellent English. The room was immaculate and very reasonable, while the breakfast (included) was the best I had during my vacation. The view from my balcony covered half the town and offered more than a glimpse of the valley far below, until the fog came; then I was delighted to find the Celtic pub around one corner (impossible to get lost going home in the fog, just keep your left hand on the wall as you leave). There I had one of the 3 best meals I had in Sicily, and the least expensive by far for the number of courses.
I will be back to Sicily, Enna, and Hotel Bristol. This time I'll allow more than one night.

Great value hotel in the absolute centre of Enna. Whilst it's not easy finding anywhere in Enna and the roads are tiny, once we arrived at the hotel, our car was parked for us and we were welcomed by the owners who were really warm and welcoming. We didn't speak much Italian but the owners son helped us out. The room was spacious, very clean, had a balcony and was really good value. The owners recommended a great restaurant for dinner and kept checking in with us that everything was ok throughout the stay. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice. All in all a great spot to stay if you want to explore the town and the surrounding areas.

This is a fine hotel, very modern, nice rooms, good soundproofing, clean and tidy. It does not have a restaurant or coffee bar, which makes me wonder why it is rated as a 3 star (normally a hotel needs a restaurant to be a 3-star). That notwithstanding, it's a darn good place to stay and I recommend it.
Breakfast food is limited in scope - almost all sweet pastries, nothing "healthy". If you are late getting to breakfast, you will find it pretty well picked over and not much left.
Parking is available out front, but there is no guarantee that parking will be available because in Sicily, people park wherever they want, it is impossible for the hotel to control parking spaces.
