The centre was very nice and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food we received was hot, wholesome and we had good portions.
The building itself was warm, bright and comfortable.
I will be back to use it again and hope to stay next time 👍🏼

Passed Emmaus many times and stayed on recent trip to Dublin as a B&B guest. A lovely quiet oasis on the edge of Swords & near Dublin Airport. Clean room with en-suite but no frills (no TV). Good wifi so had everything I needed. A good buffet style breakfast (continental) set me up for the day. Will stay again for sure! Great value and helpful staff.

I discovered the Emmaus Centre on the internet and decided to stay there because it was close to the airport. I couldn't believe I was the only guest that night--the place is wonderful!

The centre is peaceful and relaxing, in a pretty setting. And the staff were unbelievably nice. They didn't treat me like a hotel guest--they treated me like a new friend. I couldn't believe all the things they did to make me feel welcome!

The front desk gave me a hairdryer upon request. A cable to connect my computer with free high-speed internet was available in the room.

I took two buses to get to the centre: one to Swords city centre and then one to Lissenhall area. When I left, I took a taxi to the airport for 16 euro.

I highly recommend Emmaus Centre!

I stayed for a night at the Emmaus Centre as I was attending a meeting in Swords. It's set in countryside not far from Dublin Airport, and a pleasant 20 minute walk to Swords town; you go to the end of Ennis Lane and just before the main road turn right through a park and along the river.

It's probably the most peaceful place I have ever stayed in. Like the previous reviewer, I was the only guest that night. The rooms are comfortable and modern, with free wifi. There are no TVs in the rooms but I had exclusive access to the TV lounge, with free tea and coffee and biscuit tin. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

This would have been a five star review but in the morning there was no hot water! The man at reception said you had to run it for ages; I ran it for 5-10 minutes but that obviously wasn't enough.

After arriving at the retreat the staff were all very helpful and friendly. They allowed me early check in due to my flight arriving at 9am. It instantly became apparent that the hotel was in fact a religious retreat which I didn't realise when booking through booking.com as it wasn't mentioned in the description of the hotel. Having said that it didn't bother me.
The room didn't have a TV which I assumed was a standard in most hotels but again it didn't really bother me as I was only there for one night. I left the hotel and went into the nearby town of Swords, which has all local highstreet shops and places to eat. After walking for 40 mins bk to the hotel I couldn't wait to have a nap after my 5am start. I put the key in the door and it jammed. After several staff members trying with various different keys and mentioning that this door had been a problem in the past, they said they would call a locksmith. 3 HOURS LATER the locksmith finally arrived and managed to let me into my room after mentioning he'd only been called 10 mins ago.
They offered me dinner for my trouble but at that point I just wanted to sleep. Would have been a good experience if I'd had been able to get to my things and get into room.

I stayed at Emmaus last week for 4 nights. I originally went for just 2 nights but stayed on an extra 2 nights as was so pleased with the place!

I was immediately struck by the warm welcome I received on arrival and in general throughout my stay by the friendly yet professionalism of the staff. I had a few special needs (diet etc) which they accommodated in a most supportive manner. They did everything possible to ensure I had a relaxing comfortable break there which I so appreciated.

The food was excellent. I had breakfast lunch and dinner there each day.

The place was spotless and every need anticipated re the bedroom. The grounds are extensive and really magnificent. ..very conducive to relaxation.

I am already planning my next trip...I kid you not! This time I will choose a time there that coincides with one of the many really interesting day and weekend (and longer) workshops that they host there. I am really looking forward to it.

I would unreservedly recommend Emmaus. Go and enjoy....!

I stumbled across Emmaus Centre on the internet because all the hostels in Dublin City Centre were booked (I stayed Sat/Sun of Paddy's Weekend). I'm glad all of Dublin was book because this retreat center was perfect. I traveled alone for a mini-vacation to Ireland and was very pleased with everything at Emmaus. The bed was comfortable, the single room clean, and the employees very warm and welcoming. They accommodated an early check-in for me as my flight landed at 5:30 AM, and upon arrival, lent me a converter since I'd packed the wrong kind. The staff made me feel as though I was not a stranger or traveler but a friend. I've stayed in hostels in other European countries that offer complimentary breakfast, but the breakfast at Emmaus was more than I expected. It had a great variety and the early time encouraged me to start my day exploring. It is also conveniently located just across the street from the bus stop where you can catch the bus to Swords City Centre or Dublin City, and even if the bus isn't convenient from that stop, it's just a 10-15 minute (beautiful) walk to the Swords City Centre. One day when I go back to Ireland, I will stop by Emmaus again and stay for at least a night. It made traveling alone feel comfortable and safe... and I met a lot of great young people my age to travel with around Dublin City Centre!

Super friendly staff and very helpful. Rooms are perfectly sized with on suite bathrooms. There is a good variety of food that is up for selection for breakfast however supper needs to be booked and is set if you are staying in for that. It is a lovely retreat center with big and beautiful gardens!

We were not sure about this accommodation but had trouble finding any thing else that was suitable due to some concerts on the same night. We were pleasantly surprised with what we got, the staff were very friendly and courteous and helpful.
There were lots of rooms and it was a long walk down the corridors to get there but it was very quite and peaceful to stay there. We had a plane to catch early the next morning and it took us about 5 minutes to drive to the airport area to return the car, which was very convenient. It was also a short drive to Swords where you can get meals, hotels, cafes etc. There is ample parking of site and we were able to WIFI as well as hot drinks and biscuits. They include breakfast but as we needed to leave early we were able to help ourselves to cereal, toast, juice and coffee. Highly recommend this place and would stay again.
