Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The staff were so nice, the facility was very clean. We were there with kids and the room was comfortable and quiet. It was located close to the canyon and within walking distance of several restaurants. It was a great stay and we were happy to be there. Free hot chocolate at night was a nice bonus.

Room Tip: Close to the Grand Canyon, go by 8 a.m. We went early for breakfast at El Tovar and had the park...

We had three adults and one child (5yo) in our group visiting the Grand Canyon. We decided to stay at Red Feather because of its close proximity to the Grand Canyon. We were very impressed with our stay here. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. The lobby was very nice (we took advantage of the free hot chocolate since it snowed while we visited). The staff was also very friendly. We will definitely stay here again if ever in the area. Be sure to check out the restaurant, Plaza Bonita, that is onsite, it’s delicious.

Great location to the Grand Canyon - just a quick drive away. Lots of counter space in the bathroom; clean; comfortable beds; free tea, hot chocolate and coffee in the lobby. Near a good restaurant where you can get a discount with your room - Plaza Bonita Restaurant. We stayed in the hotel part.

This motel is great! The front desk is more than willing to make things right for your stay. Love that it is still family owned. Both the hotel and motel are at the same location. The restaurant connected to the hotel is very convenient. The rooms are comfortable and simple yet exactly what is needed before or after heading to the Grand Canyon. Love the camera showing the entrance to the park that is located by the front desk. Location is so close to the entrance of the park. No breakfast is the only negative but you know that before staying so that you can figure things out. The restaurant does have nice breakfast offerings with a discount using your key card. One idea to Red Feather is to maybe just simply have granola bars and fresh fruit in the morning for hikers to head out with their coffee :). Great stay!

We booked Red Feather based upon location, cost and reviews. So glad we did! The hotel sits just a few miles south of the South Rim entrance to the Grand Canyon. It was a perfect location for our 2 nights there. The staff was very welcoming and hotel itself was very clean. In addition to the friendly staff, there is a TV screen/video system that shows you the wait time and/or potential back up at the entrance to the South Rim. This was a nice feature (although we didn't need it at the time of year we were there). The hotel is within walking distance of restaurants/gift shops and the Grand Canyon Visitor Center. Would definitely stay here again!!

This place was okay, but I got really upset when I came back from a day of exploring the Grand Canyon and noticed someone came in my room. We put the do not disturb sign out for a reason. The beds were made which I didn't want. We were with a Gate 1 group that uses this company regularly, so I'm letting the tour company know too.

Staff was very accommodating and immensely helpful when we had to stay an additional night due to a snow storm. Our room was extremely clean, very comfortable and near restaurants that were open during the snow storm. The lodge is near the entrance to GCNP. We enjoyed our stay.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel! It was very clean (even though guests made messes by the coffee the staff was quick to clean it up) , beds were very comfortable, coffee was amazing (and I am a coffee snob), it smelled fresh every time we walked in the front door. The front desk staff.......best ever! They are very friendly, accommodating and professional. I have stayed at hotels that cost 5 times as much and haven't received the level of friendliness as Red Feather. I loved that fact that they are still family owned and take such pride in their business to make guests feel "at home". The price was very fair for the accommodations provided. The décor was extremely appropriate for the area and this type of travel experience. However, El Tovar (inside the canyon) can provide a different experience if you want to pay $500 and up a night. If you want breakfast there are several options within walking distance, however they do provide a breakfast bar in the morning. I am not an easy person to please at times but I would stay here over and over. Great job Red Feather!!! You stand out!!!

We were given 2 queens accessible room ( though none of us needed). The beds felt smaller than queen size and were very low in height. Basically the mattress was over the frame with no box spring to keep height lower for accessible feature I guess , but this made it very uncomfortable. No breakfast although price is high. Coffee in the lobby was not good. So overall, unpleasant experience.

I am so sorry your stay with us was not up to your expectations. The hotel was busy over the holiday period so if you were a late arrival or did not have an advance reservation the accessible may have been the last room available. I do hope you called down to the desk to see if there was anything else they could move you to. And please come back again and give us another try.

We got a free upgrade from the motel to the hotel. Staff were very friendly, clear and thoroughly in their directions. Included in your stay is a 10% discount to two local restaurants, both of which had good food. Everything in town is within walking distance. They offer complimentary coffee and a great assortment of teas. I believe they also offered granola bars and hot cocoa on request. The rooms were well appointed with a refrigerator and microwave. The water pressure was great in the shower. The decor was nice and relaxing.
