Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a great stay during a very stressful time of dealing with an unexpected death in the family. The staff were friendly, professional and accommodating and the amentities met our needs/expectations. The location was in close proximity to one of our destintations, as well as close by to restaurants/stores we needed to make use of during our week's stay. The hotel and our suite were clean and functional with no issues. The bed wasn't as comfortable as we would have liked, but did not diminish the overall experience, which was great. Gretchen (lounge staff) was incredibly personable and helped make us feel at home. Breakfast was decent and the hosts were so nice and helpful. Honestly, the staff were really the highlight - we were always greeted and welcomed in a friendly manner. We would stay here again for sure.

What an odd location. People were hanging out in the parking lot just leaning on their cars, a man walked out of the hotel in his underwear as we arrived, the hallways are dingy, and when we got into the room, the fold out sofa bed was full of disgusting stains. So, wouldn’t recommend this spot for families. The beds are really hard and the pillows are flat. Just not at all the Marriott standard.

This was our second stay at this property as we were also there in November 2022 for 5 nights. An important FYI for anyone traveling to the property in the near future, the elevator is non-functional in the big building, which is not shared when you book online. It has been out of service for a month, so this info should have been shared. Therefore, we were first given a second floor room in the smaller builder, where we were staring at the check-in building, listening to the noisy AC for that building, and smelling horrific sewer smell. Joe was amazing to me when I went to the front desk asking for another room for my husband and I. He said we could be in the other building if we did not mind hauling our luggage up to the third floor and he told me which rooms were available and we were able to get the same room we had in November, with a view. Joe even offered to upgrade us to a two-bedroom unit, but it was on the first floor. Given so much negativity in the world at the moment it was important for us to share the level of customer service offered to us by Joe after a long-drive. On a personal level, Joe's willingness to help meant the world to me as I have numerous health issues and unique needs that make it difficult for me to travel and stay in hotel rooms. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is "typical" for a Residence Inn. The only complaint we have other than not being aware of the elevator issue is that on the day of our checkout, housekeeping came into the room at 8am while I was still sleeping and scared me. This was not acceptable as we had not checked out. The secondary lock was not on the door as my husband had left the room for breakfast.

Excellent location, nice large suite, very clean, good limited breakfast buffet included in room rate. Relaxing pool/hot tub area. Very nice, accommodating staff. I am in the hotel business and really appreciate how difficult it is to find good employees at this time. It seemed obvious to me that the general manager has done an excellent job with identifying candidates who understand hospitality. I will definitely return the next time I’m in Scottsdale.

Great Property, Very Clean, no noise from airport. Used the pull out and was the cleanest I have ever seen, no crumbs, entire room was very nice/clean. Highly recommend. Didn't use outdoor facilities, but all very clean and nice breakfast. $7 parking, 5 minute drive to shops/restaurants.

I have stayed at this property for almost 10 times and have had a pretty consistent and positive experience. It is within walking distance to a few restaurants, and the fact that it is slightly recessed from the main roads reduce the road noise. Interactions with the front desk staff, although not extensive, have always been friendly and professional. The rooms are typical of a Residence Inn, maybe on the larger side on the scale. They are clean and well laid-out with good lighting and spacious bathroom (with separate area for sink). Breakfast is good and the quality in line with Marriott properties that offer free breakfast. There is a (relatively small) fitness center. While the hotel can get kind of pricy during peak tourism seasons (just like other area hotels), I find it offers good value during a good portion of the year.

I love this hotel , the staff, and the breakfast. Rooms are fantastic as well. Beware that they have applied a daily parking charge in on your bill and do not tell you ! The prices of the rooms have outpaced their value as well.

The hotel is comfortable enough for an extended stay, the studio we had was 450sq ft with an oven and tiny kitchen w full fridge. We were there for 7 weeks while my husband had a transplant at the Mayo Clinic. Cleaning is weekly. The room isn't very clean so I bought supplies myself to keep things up. The carpets should be cleaned when pets stay bc they charge $100 non refundable deposit, but they aren't. I spilled something on the carpet and when I cleaned it up, the dog hair and black filth that came up was appalling. Management allows WAY too much dog barking to go on before they try to stop the racket. Pool furniture needs replacement. Breakfast food is sub standard. With all that said, the Residence Inn was homey and comfortable. The manager tries his best to help the residents have a nice time. They do care about the residents and try to accommodate our needs. When work was being done near our room one night, Jordan at the front desk was happy to move us to a quiet room for the night away from the noise. When dogs were baking for 12 hours straight next door, Raymondo magically got them to stop after I asked for his help. They try. Nothing is perfect but I'd go back to RI again if we went back to Scottsdale. The main complaint is cleanliness and spotty housekeeping. You can go to the front desk for supplies anytime though. We're super picky due to transplant needs, so that's something to consider. I had to clean the AC vents myself. Very very loud and noisy AC also, so bring earplugs.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Large refrigerator to store restaurant leftovers. Pool and hot tub are quiet. If you get a room in building B, you'll have a nice view of the mountains but the sun rises early and it's bright. We stayed at the Res Inn for two weeks while undergoing medical treatment. The staff, Terry, Ray, Jordan and Joe were kind and helpful.
