The staff was welcome and attentive. The room was very large, clean, and modern. I enjoyed having the breakfast and there was a variety of things so I didn't have the same thing 5 days in a row. I wish there would have been free or at least cheaper parking as the valet parking option was way too expensive for me. I parked in a garage operated by ASU that was just a few blocks away and only $16 per day, so that was a more affordable option. This hotel was just 4 blocks from the convention center, and 6 blocks to Chase Field and Footprint NBA arena, so it is very walkable. I'll stay here again for sure.

Downtown Phoenix hotel close to (walking distance) event centers and numerous good restaurants. Valet only at hotel but public garage less than a block away. Everything was clean and bright and every interaction with staff was friendly and helpful. We had king suite with lots of room and two sunny windows. We were only there one night so room comfort overrode view requirement. Large lounge area with numerous TVs near front desk serving wine and beer. Bed was comfy, TV crisp and clear, bathroom area was large with shower/commode in one room and large vanity/closet in the other. We left early so didn't experience the free breakfast.

I must say, I really enjoyed this hotel. Normally Hamptons are of budget quality, but this one is a step up. Now, thanks to Covid, the restaurant is closed. But, they have a little convenience store for snacks and drinks. And, they let you know there is a grocery store close by if you need more. Restaurants are within steps. Parking is expensive ($$$), but it is prompt and if you ask the attendant, he will take your luggage to your room. We never had to wait for our car. When we said we were coming down, it was there. So we got what we paid for. Also, I just like the little tiny things you find in the rooms that make your stay convenient. We had two rooms: the suite and the double/queens. Our room had two stools that my daughter and I used as end tables. That was very, very convenient. And, the bathrooms have a built-in shelf above the sink so that your toiletries don't get wet. Also, the faucet is on the right side of the sink (not centered). That design allows the water to go down into the sink and not splash/dampening anything on the sink. Last, I liked the little coat/dress hanger they have on the wall. It looks like artwork. Very functional. I thought the suite was nice as well. Very spacious. There is plenty of room in there for a family of 4. I felt the bathroom was also nicely appointed for a moderately-priced hotel. We shall stay here again!!!

We began our tour of the Western National Parks with Go Ahead Tours at this hotel located in the heart of Downtown Phoenix.

After traveling from Orlando, FL, we arrived at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and used Mayflower Cab Co. for the short trip to the hotel. The fare was a standard $17.50 for transportation to the downtown area.

This hotel appeared to be quite new; nothing worn at all, and the latest room amenities that included two power outlets on each nightstand and a USB port. There was a nice pull down shade that blacked out the room from the 106 degree heat outside, and everything in the room was spotless. The beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was spacious with modern fixtures.

We decided to walk the five blocks to the Phoenix Hard Rock Café for something to eat and souvenirs. On the way there we noticed just about every restaurant and a few hotels had misting devices showering the outside of their establishment with a steady flow of a fine water mist for people to get some relief from the extreme heat.

We got up early the next morning to get some breakfast and have our bags out the door to be picked up and loaded on the tour bus. The breakfast at Hampton Inn was good, with enough of what anyone could find to satisfy them for a morning meal: fruit, cereal, turkey sausage, breads, and juices, etc.

We only stayed the one night, but would highly recommend this hotel for it’s great service, central location in Downtown Phoenix, and very nice, clean, spacious, modern rooms.

Chose this hotel due to it's great pricing and location. Price was great for the dates I stayed. I was lucky enough to also find a coupon code via visitphoenix website. I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel (taxes and fees included) what other hotel properties in downtown were asking for only 1 night. Maybe I just got lucky with my dates - no idea!

I tried to do online check-in for this hotel but it was not available. When I arrived I was told it had not yet been setup for use. This seems to be a newer hotel, so that may be why. Breakfast is the grab&go style with cold food options. Parking was $37/night...I did not bring a car. We used the light rail [$2/trip or $4/day]. Light rail station is a short 5 minute [maybe less] walk to/from the hotel. Literally cheaper to park at the airport and ride the light rail in, or even Uber for that price.

Hotel room was clean and smelled fresh/clean. Overall had a newer vibe to it. This may be the first Hampton Inn that I've stayed in that offers only a mini fridge, and no microwave. Bed(s) were comfortable, pillows were too. AC worked great - much needed in 100+ degree weather. Water pressure in the shower was nice, and the sink had a large vanity which I always appreciate.

The location of the hotel is great. Like mentioned before, short 5 minute walk to/from the light rail. Approximately 10 minute walk to Talking Stick Resort Arena, and another 5 minute walk down the road to Chase Field. You can see both arenas/fields from one another on Jefferson, so they aren't far at all. Lots of restaurant and bar options as well as drug store and grocery store all within walking distance.

Very nice property with a good location. Services do not keep up with the price - no bell service, front desk understaffed, bar area undestaffed, no glassware in guest room, etc. But that seem to be the downtown rate without regard to service levels.

Spent one night here. Came to Phoenix to see a Diamondbacks baseball game. Staff was super accommodating. They got us into our room early! The location was perfect! Although the valet parking was pricey, we never had to drive or look for parking downtown. We were able to walk everywhere: to lunch at the Kettle Black restaurant, to a coffee shop, to CVS and even to the BB game. We took advantage of using the Lime scooters and got exercise walking. On our downtime, we relished how comfortable the bed and room was. Except for a microwave in the room (they had one in the lobby) we had all the amenities we needed. Loved the sun blocking blinds! The breakfast was in keeping with the Hampton Inn’s reputation for a hot meal with good variety of foods. They did not have a pool (Phoenix is soooo hot and I would have welcomed it but knew it going in) but had a fitness center. The area had some homeless people around but we never felt unsafe. Well lit on the streets at night. For a large city, it was uncrowded. All in all, great place!

There is metered street parking all along 1st Street (right next to the hotel) at a cost of $1.50 per hour; it is metered from 8am to 10pm and free overnight. There is a public parking garage one block away on the corner is on 1st Street and Van Buren.
