I stayed for 3 nights in an enclosed beach fale a few metres from the ocean. The local bus from Apia dropped me off right outside the door. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, they mentioned that breakfast and dinner were included with the room. Also there was a fiafia night, Wednesday, the day of my arrival. That was great news as I hadn’t witnessed one of those before. The fiafia night was performed by staff members and was very lively and a lot of fun. Everyone was invited to participate and try out the dance moves, which were different for females and males. Mealtimes were communal on either one or two big tables where all the guests had the opportunity to talk to their fellow travellers, definitely a great ice breaker and bonding exercise! Food was plentiful and varied, tasted good too. Nobody would go hungry there. Wifi available in the dining area and there was always a hot water urn available for coffee or tea and food and snacks from a menu during the day. The toilet block was situated across the road. The beach at Lalomano is great for swimming and offers a view of Namu’a Island, one of the Aleipata islands, which can be visited on a daytrip. Snorkeling is also feasible or kayaking. The accommodation also offers tours to other attractions, which is a good option if you don’t have a rental car. Everyone is treated like family and you feel right at home. Thanks to Berry, Saga, Tai, Sega, Ange and all the other lovely staff members.

Beautiful beach, so clean and well maintained! Customer service was friendly and accommodating, highly recommend for a day trip as we paid for use of the beach fales and access to beach showers as well. Will definitely come back next trip back!

Have stayed previously here a couple of in 2018 and 2019 with no major dramas. Since re-opening it appears they have forgotten what customer service is about, and aren't prepared to spend any money maintaining the property or buying essentials.
After spending a week in Apia, we decided to treat ourselves with a night on the South Coast. Travelling with an 18 month old, we weren't keen on the whole fale experience so we booked an air-conditioned ensuite unit via their website. Cost of unit being WST350 for 2 adults, 1 child and 1 toddler.
We drove over in the afternoon, and checked in with the young reception girl seeming fairly disinterested and unwelcoming. We took our bags to our unit, where we found the ceiling fan not working and the shower head unit broken. They also appeared to have forgotten to provide us with any towels.
We decided to head back to the restaurant/reception are and grab some lunch. After lunch we went back to the unwelcoming reception girl to request some bathroom towels. She bluntly replied that they don't supply towels and its on mentioned on their website. Their was a cabinet behind her with what appeared to have towels in it. When i enquired about them, i was once again told its on their website to bring your own towel. She also mentioned they are waiting for their towel shipment order to arrive from New Zealand. Borders have been reopened for 9 months at least, and they are still waiting for towels to arrive!!!
I booked on their website. I went to their front page and clicked on the book now link and chose our accomodation option. We also received email confirmation from them confirming our booking. Not once during this booking process did it say to bring a towel. Notwithstanding, when you are staying in ensuite unit at over NZD200 a night, you would expect towels at a minimum to be provided.
We were all hot and sweaty after lunch and now unable to shower. Rather than endure an uncomfortable stay, we decided to call it quits and head back to Apia after only 1.5 hours at this place!!!. We duly returned our key to the reception girl, who once again couldn't have cared less. No apology, no trying to rectify the situation or offer of any refund. We trekked back to town utterly disappointed by the whole experience.
To make matters worse I received an obvious auto generated message from this provider a few days later thanking me for my stay and hoping I enjoyed myself, with them quoting "satisfaction is our goal". I duly responded advising of our experience, how negative it was and the fact I was only there for an hour and a half. The MD swiftly replied to me apologising for his staff issues, and had the audacity to say "I'm sure you found another place on the islands to calm you down".
I definitely wont be going to this establishment ever again and wasting my money.

Stayed at Taufua for 3 nights with our 2 kids (6&8) we booked a villa set in the hillside. These villas use cashpower- a prepaid system like buying prepaid minutes for your mobile phone so if you use it all up running your aircon all day it will certainly run out at which point if you let them know at the office they'll add more minutes to the box. Villas came with aircon, ceiling fan, bathroom and fridge and the standard tea and coffee. Two beds, 1 queen and 1 single bed. The only thing missing for me were towels- it is possible that you just had to ask for these at the office but we had our own towels because I'm fussy. These rooms are new and clean and if sleeping in the faleo'o is not for you, it is certainly a great option. Anyways, the easy all day access to the beach was the big draw card for my family. We were definitely surprised at dinner with the multiple offerings each night and we definitely enjoyed the family style sit down atmosphere and getting to know our fellow travellers. Top 3 dishes we ate here were the sweet n sour fish, lobster - like the whole thing shell and all not the fake ssurimi pretending to be lobster in a salad/roll and a savoury muffin they served at breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and the hospitality of the Taufua family, I would book again.

I travelled through Samoa in July with my partner and we spent 3 nights at Taufua Beach Fales and absolutely loved our stay! We stayed in an open beach fale which was truly right along the beach, which was an incredible experience. There is still a tarp you can roll down if it is raining (which we had to do one night) but otherwise I'd recommend keeping the tarp up so that you can wake up to the sunrise. Taufua Beach Fales is situated in a great location, it's not a busy area but you are not too far from several of the "must-see" spots around Upolu.
The staff at Taufua Beach Fales were absolutely incredible, they were all so kind and helpful. They also put on a performance on our last night staying there of traditional Samoan dancing and they brought such wonderful energy, it was an experience I'll cherish.
Another thing I loved about Taufua Beach Fales is that the Breakfast and Dinners are done family-style at one large long table. This allowed my partner and I to mingle with the other guests, really get to know some of the other traveler, hear advice from others as to what to do nearby, and made it a special experience by making me feel an even stronger connection to the place.
Overall I would highly recommend a stay here!

This place is the worst accommodation we’ve stayed at when visiting Samoa, stayed there for 3 nights, our power went off at 1am, no one was around at that time so we told someone at 7am when we first spotted someone at the kitchen as that was the only facility that was open at the time, approached someone again at 8am, approached again at 9am by 11am I was pissed off at this point and that’s when they pointed out that someone in that red car is about to go and get a cash card for the power, they run this place on prepaid power so when it runs out good luck getting someones attention, and every time i ask the young girl at the office, everything seems like it’s all too much to her, it’s like I’m asking for a spare kidney, because the power went off, the water from the fridge was all over the floor, so we asked for someone to mop the water up and again after asking several times and waited 4 hours someone finally came around to do it, our last morning there, we were all about to have a shower and shocking enough the was has been turned off so we couldn’t have a shower. The day we checked in nothing was explained just take the money give the keys and not until we were all ready to have a shower we got told they don’t supply towels you have to bring your own, staff members really need to learn a thing or two about communication and the importance of meeting a person’s needs regardless of how big or small the situation may be. We will never go there again that’s for sure. One good thing was the meals the kitchen staff are amazing

A fabulous place to unwind and relax. Friendly staff, amazing breakfast and dinner included, means this is great value for money and you won't go hungry. I stayed in enclosed beachfront fale, with views of the ocean from bed. Will definitely be back for another stay!

I (22yo) stayed with my mother (in her fifties) for two nights at Taufua. During our two nights here, we met some of the loveliest people - both guests and staff. A special mention to Lēafē, one of the staff - such a cheerful, helpful and fun person! I feel very lucky to have made a friend in Lēafē.
Our highlight was the morning breakfasts and dinners of an evening. Eating communally was an excellent opportunity to meet fellow travellers and share stories, and there was always a huge amount of yummy food!
We stayed in both an Beachfront open fale, and an Aircon Ensuite Standard villa. I loved the fale and my mum loved the villa - so both are good choices depending on your preference. The fale was a magical experience - the floor mat and mattress were both very comfy and the location was unlike anywhere we had ever stayed before - breath taking! The villa had comfy beds, excellent views and the walk up to the villa was luscious and green!
Our advice - bring a book, a towel, sunglasses and an excitement to meet people! If you are after an authentic, homely experience with lots of swimming and mingling - this is the place for you.

Hi there.
We just turned up and our booking (that we made by email from memory) was “there”. We only booked a couple of days before. They weren’t good at answering the phone, but once we were there they were brilliantly helpful. I can’t imagine they will be booked out; they seem to lots of accomodation options.
Hope this helps. They’re really nice people.

The fales on the beach do not have air con. They do have fales up the hill (five min drive) that have air con, but then you miss the beach fale experience!
There are more places to choose from in the Lalomanu area.
