I had the exact same experience as written in the review below: I booked to stay at Taufua in May 2020. Because of the travel restrictions and border closures due to Covid-19, I had to cancel my reservation. I did so in March, well within the required cancellation timeframe mentioned on their website. I was promised via email to be given a refund, I was also told it could take some time since they were waiting for government assistance. It took a couple of months and I reached out again to ask if they had an update yet. I spoke on the phone to Mepa, the daughter of the owner and she assured me I would get the refund, just not sure when yet. Over the following months I'd been sending multiple emails, but never received a reply. I commented on some of their Facebook posts hoping they would reply to that, but the only reply was to delete those comments (which they did to many comments in which people were asking about their promised refunds). I called again last November and spoke to Sili, the owner. Again I was told I would get a refund. He only had to go on his computer and find my booking details. He did email me back that he found the paper trail of my booking and after that..... complete radio silence again!! I have sent a couple of emails since, but I'm being ignored and haven't received any reply nor any money at all. Very dishonest, unprofessional and very bad customer service!! FYI: All other hotels I had booked for that same trip refunded my money straight away, no questions asked.…

I booked to stay in April 2020, pre covid. As soon as it got bad and Australia advised against travel, I wrote to cancel my booking. I gave enough time according to the websites own cancelation policy. However I was never given a refund. The manager acknowledged that I was owed a refund via email, but said they were waiting on government assistance. I waited and waited. When I questioned it again, I never heard back. When I tried contacting on Facebook and Instagram I was blocked. Very professional!!! Every other hotel I had booked with in Samoa refunded my money without hesitation. But not Taufuas. These guys are thieves.

My family and I had the most enjoyable time ever. Each one of us cant wait to return. Amazing host and staff, food was very tasty and great Samoan portions. Taufua we are heading back. Alofa tele atu!!

I have just spent a week here relaxing. The staff are amazing and Ana and Ina in reception can arrange anything at all. Johnny and Ben in the bar look after all beverages. Tea is available all day long. But the view is spectacular. I spent hours just watching the ocean, the sunrises and sunsets. Swimming and snorkeling are great activities. I recommend the breakfasts and dinners and on Sundays the special umu food to stretch your taste buds. I'm already thinking about when I can come back.
