Beautiful resort to stay at and enjoyed the massage, exceptional. Love the activities that are provided, we had a king balcony sea view room and it was amazing. The breakfast buffet was my fave, however, the food is at best average. The only aspect of the resort I didn’t enjoy is the loud music! Every night except for Sundays, there was something going on i.e. fiafia night, karaoke night, DJ party and the rooms next door to the restaurant are not soundproof so the bass vibrates through your room. This does not go past 11pm, however, if we had known this, we wouldn’t have booked this resort, I love a good nights sleep to feel refreshed for a days actives!

Absolutely beautiful location. The staff were super lovely and accommodating. If you are looking for luxury, peace and quiet, beautiful scenery and real relaxation, this is the place to go. I had asked for a romantic dinner on the beach - the staff went above and beyond for us to make it extra special. We are thrilled by the service we received and will definitely be back. Thank you.

Taumesina is your next level accommodation, family friendly with the most friendliest staff. We were met by Sio who was ever so polite, gifted us with beautiful leis and a cold drink, offered to take our photos before he carried all our luggage upstairs 😯 into our room and gave us a tour, with professionalism and a smile. We then spent the next day with the delectable Sean who was an absolute blast as he taught us how to weave. We later learn that he is the jack of all trades with the activities!! Again always with a smile on his face. The activities team in general are so much fun providing so much entertainment for the kids. Junior even got into the pool to play rugby with the kids. My kids always felt bad walking back through reception after using the pool but Nati always smiled and waved them through moping the floors after them and always insisted it was never too much trouble, then giving them a hug to reasure them. Annie (Lilly) and Mary-Anne were wonderful in hospitality, tending to our needs and ensuring we weren't ever waiting too long. These are just a few examples of how wonderful the team were who made our stay that much more special. Thank you Tamesina for the part you played in our trip to Samoa. We will absolutely be back 🥰

Taumesina is modern, comfortable, and clean. The washing machine and dryer in the villas are very convenient especially for families. Staff are friendly and attentive and the bar and restaurant always have a great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Positives: Beautiful view of the ocean. Resort dining is good. Rooms are clean. Negatives: Our stay didn’t start off well from date of arrival, we unfortunately stayed a total of five days, which was too long. Our stay at this resort ruined our remaining days in Samoa. It so happened that this was my first-time holidaying in Samoa and I would never recommend this resort to anyone. It commenced by having a faulty door latch which made our room unsecured. We reported this issue, and it took an hour for a maintenance man to arrive only to be advised that he (maintenance man) “wasn’t a carpenter” and couldn’t fix the door latch until the next morning. The duty manager advised that they would send the maintenance man at 8am but would ring first to ensure we were in the room. A call was received and I confirmed that we were waiting for maintenance to arrive. While I was in the shower, maintenance decided to open our door and come right in. Well… he was confronted by my husband who gave him a verbal fright by entering without permission. The maintenance man was still unable to fix the latch, so it took my husband (a builder) to fix it! In room dining menus were outdated and not replaced. When we finally ordered room service, staff didn’t bother bringing cutlery on two occasions! In general, service was appalling! We would wave at staff to grab their attention while at the pool and they would look at us and continue speaking. When they did grab our order, it took them an hour to bring us a drink. Making/placing orders were difficult, as they either didn’t understand or didn’t bother paying attention, one time we heard a lot of giggling on their end and had to repeat orders several times. One evening we reserved a table at Siva Afi for a Fia Fia show (which was amazing), we elected to take a taxi rather than drive ourselves due to road signs not visible and google maps didn’t work well. The resort called a cab who took us to the wrong place and when my husband asked for directions at this wrong place, the cab driver locked me in the cab. My husband couldn’t get back in until he was forcing the door to open. Cab driver was really sketchy. Furthermore, we decided to attend a Fia Fia night at the resort, and at time of making a booking we were advised that they were fully booked and WOULDN’T reserve us a table. When advised that we were in house guests, they still wouldn’t budge even though we were advised that guests took precedent. Another person spoke to me and said whilst they were fully booked they would make room for us, after the back and forth, my husband was so furious that he no longer wanted to attend Fia Fia paying 99 Tala. Oh, and there was a fire evacuation one afternoon and guests were advised to evacuate. We evacuated and attended reception to confirm the assembly area which they had no idea there was even a fire evacuation. There was no urgency, some guests didn’t bother leaving their room, people were going about their business and staff were scrambling not knowing what to do. The whole experience at this resort was horrible!! I would never return or recommend this resort to anyone as service was poor and staff are poorly trained. This resort is very commercialised and holds no Samoan culture. The gym is small and don’t be tricked about their advertised spa… There is no spa!!! Breakfast buffet has limited options, it’s not that great. Samoa is beautiful, but don’t stay at this resort if you want to have a memorable experience of the island.

Talofa Lava Jamilene Thank you for spending the time to review your stay with us, i have shared and workshopped this review with the managers, and in particular the food and beverage team, and maintainence. I am slightly confused about your Spa comment however, no where have we advertised that the Fofo Spa has a spa bath, so not sure why it was expected. We appreciate you spending the time to review your stay with us, and we will be sure to use your review to further train and review. Warmest Regards

Taumeisina is possibly the top place to stay should you visit Samoa, particularly the main Island of Upolu in Apia. They have everything you need regarding amenities, service, and facilities for the comfort of those who are westernised travellers. Pros: - Stone throw away from the Apia (main city) - Onsite money exchange/withdrawal - Easy taxi connection + car rental referrals - Great tasting food onsite (love the Lapita referenced menu) / Breakfast incl. daily - Plenty of activities organised by activities staff to keep residence/children busy - Snorkelling/kayak for free-onsite hire Cons: - Scarce wifi network - Organisation of staff could be better (but better than other accommodations I have been too on the island) - Hospitality could be improved (customer service, order accuracy, staff management) Overall, the place is great for what it's worth. I do want to make a special mention to Faanati, one of the staff who would always point me in the right direction when I needed assistance. She would always smile, which I commended her for. Thank you for the stay and it was good to be home. From your neighbouring Tongan

You will meet such friendly staff within all teams at this resort. Always smiling and ready to help. However, it seems like they've no experience or training. I was getting quite concerned after a couple of days about the level of service across Samoa, based on our experience at the resort. Then we hired a car, went out to restaurants and cafes, and received the most amazing service possible. Some examples of issues at the resort: - housekeeping staff picking up dirty towels from the floor, and hanging them up on a rack for us to use the next day instead of replacing them with clean ones. - the next day, dirty towels removed by housekeeping, but no clean ones provided. - sitting at the bar trying to order food and drinks and being completely ignored - watching others get frustrated with never being served and walking up to the bar to complain repeatedly It was so bad, that one night I thought I'd play a game of seeing how long I could sit there, trying to get a waiters attention, to order a drink. And the result .... just over an hour. It's really a nice view, clean facilities, smiling staff, but atrocious service. Not once, but time and time again. I was also quite disappointed in the quality of food available at the breakfast buffet. Even though it was included, I went out every day to a cafe to find something reasonable. The best I found was Coffee Roaster Samoa. For the best restaurants, try the one at Seabreeze Resort on the southside of the ocean, or Scalini's, Giordanos or Paddles. If you don't have kids, I'd recommend the Seabreeze Resort as the best place to stay in Samoa.

Talofa Lava E9848DHstanleys Thank you for spending the time to review your stay with us. This reveiw has been workshopped with all the managers, and has been provided to our visiting training manager, who is here to address training as a whole in the Food and Bevarage Department, as it is true like most of the pacific at the moment, we have a lot of new staff, as those we train move over to the greener pastures of New Zealand and Australia. Thank you for providing your feedback here, I only wish that you could have provided whislt you were here, so that we could have addressed these issues whilst you were here, so that you may have enjoyed your time more. Once again thank you for you review; i also love Seabreeze as well, as someone who doesnt have kids Warmest Regards

We found it a very noisy place to stay and regularly woken due to noise from neighbouring guests coming through walls and ceiling. Very congested area swimming beside those dining and the pool area looking tired with tiling and timber needing attention (timber planks have lifted, tiles missing). Needs to be more shade around pool so guests can walk from the pool after swimming without severely burning their feet. We felt in need of a deep clean. Staff were lovely and wonderful but we found our stay more hectic than relaxing.

Beautiful start with a welcome of a cooling towel, cold drink and flower necklace. Staff were always friendly and helpful and quick to fix any wee problem. Food was great and plenty of options. Easy to get into Apia township by taxi and we enjoyed an amazing meal out at the local Paddles. Pool was beautiful as was the beach with great snorkeling right out front.
