Eden's Edge is a brand new hotel and fairly small (12 rooms?) - some taxi drivers don't yet know where it is! Aaustralian $75 per night for a brand new room with aircon, bar fridge, hot water ensuite, comfortable bed, sofa, desk, verandah. Good pool, great bar/restaurant area, good food, quiet, modern decor, friendly staff who can't do enough to help, 5 mins walk from the middle of town ($2 taxi).... fantastic value. Affluent locals use the bar/restaurant.
July 2006 I'd stayed at Passefika Inn at $65 (unclean, noisy, old) and in October at Outrigger at $55 (noisy, further from town, no ensuite).
This is much better value and a much better Samoan "experience" than the bigger hotels.

Budget Friendly Hotel. Great location! Short walk to bars, nightclubs, shopping and restaurants (Y-Not, Ace nightclub, Sunrise & Paddles)
Standard furnishings but clean and in good condition. Clean showers :)

Food was the highlight - good quality food, generous portions and cheap. Try the Bbq for 12 tala. Breakfast is also great, including omelette with toast, array of fruits and smoothies

Eden's Edge is a new motel that is a great place to stay for a medium priced accommodation in Apia. It is only a 5 minute walk from the town centre, has a pool, restaurant and bar. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

When I arrived late at night, I was informed that I was moved to a - more expensive - room with out prior consultation. I was expected to pay the difference. I objected. The room I initially booked, however, was not made up and used. Given no choice, I moved into the more expensive room. I found the toilet used (not flushed), the shower not cleaned properly, and the bedsheets stained with some hair on them. Too late to complain because the receptionist was gone by then. I That night, party noise went on until 3 am and sleep was out of question. I complained to the security guard who informed me that this was someone's wedding and they had booked the place for that night.
Next morning, I inspected the room I had originally booked and nearly fell over. Besides a bed, the room did not offer any facilites such as a shelf or a wardrobe. It was opposite and very close to the kitchen with the garbage disposal on the other side (devided by a trellis). It was overpriced and unaccaptable to me. I asked for the manager and negotiated - mentioning the night without sleep, having been moved, and the slightly misleading information I had received about the initially booked room. After an agreement about room use and rate an unpleasant episode of encounters with the receptionist re. the room rate, availability of an upgraded room, payment etc. started. This lasted over more than 2 days in which my room was not once cleaned. I then decided to move. The manager attempted to some damage repair by offering me a room for reduced rate. The receptionist was present and both apologized. I agreed to stay. A few minutes later, the receptionist sat - uninvited - on my porch to tell me about sexual adventures he had in that room - which I occupied - with another guest. I left the next day to Le Alaimoana, which was professionally run by the most lovely people with a wellcoming and caring attitude. A hotel guest there told me that her friend , too, had moved from hte Eden's Edge because she felt unsafe there.
The people at Le Alaimoana, run and owned by Mara, and the friendly Samoans elsewhere made up for my initial unfortunate experience!

After reading a mixture review i was hesitant in booking here... but it was a good location and reasonable price. when we arrived its in a bit of an industrial area so would not recommend walking at night. the room was basic and the bed was hard. Air conditioning did not work. shower curtain had black mold stains so we didn't even bother using it! Sheets on bedding did not look the cleanest! Breakfast was a mixture, sometimes average and sometimes terrible. Hardly any communication from staff. Did not service rooms, so we always had to find someone to give us clean towels. There was hardly anyone at reception most of the time. Pool was never clean, when i asked they just kept saying tomorrow... overall one of the worst places I have ever stayed in during my travels. ended up leaving early and booking else where.I regret not taking photos! so my advice is just do not book here and pay a bit extra to get somewhere decent and CLEAN!

Do not book this hotel going by the photos provided they are not indicative of the place at all. Air con did not work, the room was dirty, smelly, and beds looked far from inviting. The pool was not clean.

We stayed here a day before our flight out, we couldn't sleep the whole night the air conditioning was just hot. Privacy lacking for everything was so close together, it was just heated I couldn't stand it we ended up on the chair in front of the room and fan ourselves. I will never go back here to end it with.

After checking out of our overpriced resort we just wanted a clean bed before we flew out. Eden's Edge is brand new hotel with great staff, quiet aircon, clean sheets, fridge, tv, nice restaurant. Rates include a very nice breakfast. The staff could not do enough for us and I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a base to explore Apia from.

We live in this hotel from Sun 1/12/12 to Fri 7/12/12 and we want to say thank you very much for the service. We were very happy with the staff, the room and the location is very handy to Apia.I had few beers at the bar before flying to Pago on Tues 3/12/12 for one night.I dont know the name of the guy at the bar but he was really good at looking after us in that short period. From the reception to the breakfast in the morning it was great,so Edens Edge thank you and I am sure I will be back with my family sometimes next year 2013.To the management you are doing a fine job it reflect from your workers and the place itself.I hope everyone is recovering from Evan , I am sure Samoa will overcome another challenge from nature. God Bless our beautiful country of Samoa .Faafetai lava, ulugalii tafafao mai Niu Sila....

I've just returned from my trip to Samoa. Originally flew over for 3 days to attend my niece's wedding staying at the Eden's Edge Hotel. This has been the most awesome stay ever, that I decided to extend my trip for a further 6 nights. My 5th trip back to Samoa and always stayed at other hotels eg. Aggie Grey's, Katino Tusitala, Outrigger, but found that Eden's Edge Hotel was well above the rating, personally it's my 5 star hotel in Samoa and will always be my home away from home. The hospitality service is incredible always making sure that I was ok and always offering a helping hand. Totally amazed at the complementary breakfast every morning, lunch & dinner was so superb that some of my family & friend's whom attended the wedding, but stayed elsewhere would drive by just to stop and have lunch or dinner at the Eden's Edge Restaurant. They've chosen Eden's Edge Restaurant as the best restaurant for food at a resonable price.
I'd like to make a special acknowledgement to the owner and staff of Eden's Edge Hotel, thank you Andy for running such a magnificent hotel, thank you Palota for making me feel at home you're the greatest, and to Toese, Loreta and Fu'a thanks for a job well done.
Difinitely recommend Eden's Edge Hotel to all traveler's to Samoa.

Cheers
Lina:-)
