Our family of 10 stayed at Anivas the week of the big game Manu Samoa vs All Blacks. Not only a brilliant occasion to be part of but our stay in Samoa was made even more awesome by being accomadated at Anivas B&B.Yesthe place is not a 5 star hotel but the place is so clean and feels so comfortable and we can honestly say that the staff are definetly 5 star quality if not, 10 star quality who really did make our stay so enjoyable. To Anaka, Siah Carter, Siah McCaw and Siaosi Bush we cannnot thank you enough for the beautiful hospitality, the beautiful breakfasts and the awesome chats and laughs we had throughout our stay. It is staff like yourselves that make us want to come back and stay there again just so we can see you again. Sorry Aniva that we did not meet you but our family have highly recomended your beautiful little haven to everyone that if you ever go to Samoa that you must stay at Anivas place. Beautiful little place and beautiful staff that made our whole trip.
We miss you already Siah and Siah. Faafetai Lava. Fred (Feleke) & Lesley, Auckland NZ.

This charming B&B is just as it is advertised - clean and comfortable. It's about half an hour walk or a five minute car ride from the main part of Apia. There are also quite a few buses that can take you there.

Our room was spacious and airy and a great retreat from the heat of the day. The kitchen is huge with plenty of room to sit and eat. There is a lounge area and outside there is a well maintained pool.

The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We particularly enjoyed the banana pancakes. We appreciated that they made breakfast earlier for us as we had to get going early the next morning.

The bed was very comfortable. We recommend wearing earplugs at night as the roosters and dogs in the area can get a bit noisy at night.

We had dinner at a nearby restaurant called Rokkos, which was one of the best meals we have had In Samoa.

I had the privilege of staying at Aniva’s place for over a week and thankful for Aniva’s warm hospitality. Not only is the place comfortable, affordable and safe, but Aniva herself is an exceptional host. During the peak period of Samoa’s 50th independence weekend, Aniva always had time to greet her guests and pay individual attention to our needs without delay. She thoroughly looks after her guests and staff. She goes beyond her efforts to accommodate her guests by offering valuable information about Samoa (car rentals, restaurants etc), most beneficial for first time travelers. Aniva’s place made me feel very at home. An ideal breakfast is provided with a swimming pool for those hot lazy days. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Location is convenient and quiet. There is a taxi stand next door. Highly recommended for anybody traveling to Samoa, either alone or in groups. Definately keen on staying there next time!!

This place is a very poor service. My husband arrived at the place to check in no one was there to check him in and the other issue on the email it says is a self contained accommodation but my husband end up sharing a room with the other guy and sharing shower and toilet. The other issue is they turn their wifi off. Very very disappointed with this place and their services I don't recommend this place to anyone who wishes to come and visit or stay.

Sadly due to the passing over of Bob this B & B is not up to its usually good standards. Our reasons for choosing Aniva's was firstly the option of preparing a snack using the shared facilities but this became an issue which we had to negotiate with the temporary management, and secondly the pool which we were told (after prepayning our stay) wasn't operational. Our second night there the water pressure dropped and we had no water supply to wash with and still hadn't come back on by the morning. The beds need airing/sanitising and the pillows need replacing (sweat/body odour). The daily tariff for a bed and bathroom facilities ( when working) and a continental breakfast is not cheap and therefore I believe the AC should be included in the price and not an add on cost.I don't believe we got value for money so would not recommend this accommodation.

I stayed at Anivas with my family for nearly 2 weeks and enjoyed every moment.
She is a great host, very lively and witty (we had many laughs!!!) and always tried to help us in every way. The tropical breakfast was a blast, we were always looking forward to it; plenty of beautiful juicy tropical fruits and sweets ect..
The B&B is not far from town and close to very nice restaurants too.
She lately installed a new pool to dip in and enjoy... Thanks again Aniva !

We really enjoyed our stay and could not have been made more welcome. Aniva had only been back on Samoa for a few weeks after the loss of her husband but still put the needs of her guests first with a smile and a laugh. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfasts of seemingly endless fresh fruit and toast perfect. The B&B is in a quiet street (crowing cockerels aside) yet well located for walking or taking a taxi into Apia for restaurants and bars, although Aniva's offer to drive us to the nearest restaurant was much appreciated after thirty plus hours of travelling. She was happy to spend a good chunk of time on the phone finding us a hire car for the day at very short notice. The empty swimming pool was the only downer in an otherwise excellent stay in Samoa.

Aniva's B&B place was our first stop in Samoa. From the moment we arrived at her charming place we felt like being at home (just on the other side of the world). We had one of the standard rooms with shared facilities. The bed was super comfy and the fan cooled us down during the nights. The bathroom facilities were perfectly clean and the hot shower was a nice treat as well.
We arrived at 7pm at her place and Aniva just prepared Dinner for some other guests. We asked her if we can join as well and for a reasonable price we got a delicious traditional dish + dessert despite the short notice. The breakfast is nice as well (pancakes, fresh fruits, eggs and much more).
Aniva and her staff are all so nice and super helpful...we got some good recommendations, she organized a cab and we got some valuable tips regarding the other island as well.

Thank you very much for having us and as we're still traveling in Samoa we might even come back for one or two nights :)

Home away from home.

Lovely staff and very gracious host. not far from hospital, shops, taxi stands, literally all in walking distance. rooms are all airconditioned (with fans), shared amenities, but some rooms have their own private bathrooms. Breakfast is served every morning (complementary) from 7am - 9 am. Bar, and pool available as well.

I enjoyed my stay there and would not mind going back again. I recommend this to all, esp. if you're on a budget. you can get everything you would in a hotel, here at Aniva's Place.

thank you for the memories. :)

My husband and I recently stayed at Aniva's. She and her lovely staff made us very welcome and it was lovely to have a morning or afternoon chat with them after a busy day. Room was clean and comfortable and we felt very safe. Breakfast was always a treat and the staff a great source of information. Unfortunately the local dogs were quite noisy at night.
