Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My family usually stays here because it is cheap and also friendly receptionist team they are very welcoming and make sure that your needs are met. It is a budget motel so don't expect luxury you would from other accommodation. Tatiana is a relaxing and chill out where gives you a comfortable bed to sleep on and your necessary amenities for your trip. Very convenient as it is near transport needs like taxi stand buses and also restaurants supermarket. My family always enjoy staying here as its affordable and clean thank you Tatiana for always showing kindness at our stay.

I really enjoyed staying here because of the staff, Sia and her Family were really nice. The Rest was Not all so great. The bedsheets had stains, the showers were just water comming from a tube and really cold even with the hot weather i would have preferred it to be warm and last the kitchen only had a Toaster and waterboiler what meant we couldn't Cook or heat anything up. If you dont mind having those Problems and want to Safe Money it's a nice Place only 10 Minutes walking to Supermarktes, the fugalei market and the Center of apia and there is breakfast included.

If I could give zero stars I would. Seriously horrendous. As a seasoned backpacker I read the mixed reviews and figured some were just fussy. How wrong I was. We arrived 11pm and checked into our room. Two twin beds and a trash can. absolutely filthy.. like shamefully gross. The sheets were covered in stains. I sat on one bed and was so exhausted from travelling all day but could not being myself to sleep there... And I have slept in bus stations whilst travelling. When husband came back in room (after being shown equally terrible bathrooms) we both agreed to leave. We paid for the 2 nights but went and checked into a different hotel. Only stay here if budget is worth sleeping in filth to you.

I stayed here on a couple of occasions during my recent visit to Apia. The staff members would actually make the effort to get to know you and remember your name. Breakfast (bread, jam, fruits and hot tea/coffee/chocolate) is included and they even provide a towel! I absolutely enjoyed my stay here and meeting the other members of the family. For travellers who are on a tighter budget (like me), I would recommend having food at Fou Market, Pinati (close-ish to the McDonalds) and Sunrise Restaurant! Thank you so much for taking care of me! I will definitely be back for a visit!

I have stayed at Tatiana Motel 5 times now and find the staff excellent to deal with and so friendly. My stay this time in Room 15 was fine except for the mattress where the springs were uncomfortable. A new mattress is required for this room, otherwise a pleasant stay. I was however concerned with family noise on two nights coming from neighbouring rooms. Thank you Sia and staff for being so accommodating on my last day with a late checkout after waking up earlier to watch the rugby world cup final. Very good value for money and close to centre of town with Farmer Joe and the new maketi just down the road.

I always stay there, and will again soon. The location is close to everything, the staff friendly and you actually meet local Samoans staying there. Yes, it is basic - but that is reflected in the price. You have the local supermarket only a couple of minutes away, and the major Farmers market the same distance. When I visit Apia I stay there, they have always been flexible if I stay a few nights then journey to a resort and return. All I want in Apia for a very reasonable price. I am back there again soon. We stayed at this place one night and would not stay here again. The staff is very helpfull and nice but the rooms are just stuffy old and dirty. The hallway lights light up the room through the windows and it is very noisy due to the bars and people in the common room.

if you have to spend a night in Apia this is the place to go if youre on a tight budget. Supermarket is only 100m away, you can use the kitchen facilities, though there is a very good Indian restaurant round the corner. Breakfast is included consists of corn flakes, banana, papaya and toast with jam - coffee, tea. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Firstly they "lost our booking" and were very rude and unapologetic, because it was the middle of the night 3 of us stayed in a two man room. The room was filthy and obviously not cleaned from the last guests as there was hair on the pillows etc. In the morning we woke to rats running in the hallways and bugs crawling in the filthy toilets . The only plus was the fresh fruit breakfast .

We arrived to Upolu on a late flight and got a taxi straight to Tatiana Motel. When we got there, we went to check in, unfortunately looks like we woke the owner up but she was very friendly. There was a little difficulty in finding our booking at first and looked like our room had been given away, but that was fine. We got upgraded into a self contained unit with private balcony at no extra cost which was great. The room and bathroom was very clean and felt very much at home. We had breakfast supplied in the morning as well and it was basic but beautiful :-). As 2 female tourists, we felt very safe here and as the SIDS was on there were also policemen keeping watch on the motel as well which was an even more safe feeling for us. The owner, staff and family of the motel were very friendly and helpful, plus also made a wonderful new couple of friends as well. Who took us out to see some of the sites. Also, there is a great bar directly across the road from the motel, Maliu bar. Owned by a lovely lady and she and the staff were also very welcoming. We had a wonderful time and will gladly come back to stay next year when we come back to Samoa. Have also recommended this motel to friends for good value budget accommodation :-)
