Situated close to central Apia, these upstairs apartments had impressive high ceilings and were a calm environment in the midst of a city. The rooms were very spacious, with comfortable beds and air-conditioning. The bathrooms were clean and adequate, and there were cooking facilities. There were several supermarkets and a food market within easy walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful. They helped to make our stay enjoyable.

I was actually shocked how spacey their apartments were. I love the view, you can see the town area. Their beds are just satisfying after a long say of having fun at the beaches. Service was ok. They didnt bother us, which was something i preferred. And the price was a cherry on top. Only $110 US. I enjoyed my stay. ThEY also have a bar downstairs with a pool table.

Stayed at the Amau apartments for 7 days with my family of 6 and we absolutely loved it there. The rooms are super spacious and the staff were very friendly which made our stay memorable. The air con was a life saver and the room service was awesome, our room always stayed clean which was a bonus esp having 4 messy kids. The location was right in the middle of town which was great everything was easy access. I would highly recomend it to anyone esp for families with young kids. I was very impressed and 100% exceeded our expectation. I would def book to stay there again for sure.

Stayed here with my family in apt.6, at times it was overly hot the air con barely do anything, then water is usually off and have to bug the reception to do something about it which resulted us going out for late dinner without any shower which is just ridiculous for $250WST a night. We have to ask for towels and sheets to be changed and laundry room is locked before we get our clothes in/out by end of a working day, even late laundry isn’t allowed. Some mornings we find the guy reception coming from a room all worn-out followed by another reception lady. Most nights this guy is on, and he is always sleeping when my kids keep knocking for towels or spare sheets. If he's not sleeping alone he is with the other lady reception. Ridiculous.

I stayed 5 nights here in room 1 to be close to the action during the Manu Samoa & All Blacks game. The apartment is very spacious with a good size bathroom, well stocked kitchen, aircon and two balconies. Centrally located, it's walking distance to Milani Cafe, Sele's Bar, Tatau Bistro, Mc Donald's, Pinati's, Sunrise and of course the markets. The staff are just so friendly and nothing was a hassle..like the three times they had to open the safe in my room because I kept forgetting the combination. This was my 2nd stay here (the first was for 6 hours during a 24hour visit to Samoa from NZ in 2014) and it most definitely won't be my last.

I stayed at amau apartments for 17 days and had a great experience. It was right in the town centre, the staff were friendly and the common area had a pool table which was a lot of fun. The apartments themselves were nice, and the cooking facilities were excellent. However being apartments be aware they are not serviced every day. So can get a little messy, as feet get grubby walking around apia.

Before arriving to Amau apartments i had confirmed online what time i would be checking in. I also phoned in a few days before check in to make sure there would be someone on reception to check us in as we were arriving at night. We arrived and stood around for 5-10 minutes looking around reception to see no staff in sight. When the receptionist finally arrived she look flustered with messy hair as if had just woken up. After checking in and putting our bags in the room we went to go get food and noticed that within that short time there a new guy sitting in reception. Not sure if it is normal to have two people at night on reception taking turns. Pros: We stayed in a king executive suite. The room was big and spacious. Cons: Parts of the floor were not clean. The Samsung TV only had 1 TV channel working. The shower still had soap scum on it and there was a leak somewhere as in the mornings the floor would be wet. It basically did not look like it was clean since the last occupants left. There would be random moments during the day and night where water for the bathroom didn't work; Couldn't flush the toilet sometimes and also when showering the water was coming out of the two shower heads in drips. The first night staying there we pulled back our bed covers to go sleep and were greeted with two big long legged spiders. There was also spiders and spider webs in the shower when we first used it. It was disgusting. Also a few of the plugs in the room did not work. To have paid $250.00 Tala per night was ridiculous. When i voiced my concerns to reception they did not even apologize or try offer any solutions to our issues. We checked out as soon as we found another place to stay which was Amanaki hotel. Go there. Good service, friendly staff and cleaner rooms cheaper than Amau Apartments. I would not recommend this place.

These apartments are a fantastic place to stay. Right in the heart of Apia. Great cafe/bar downstairs. They gave me an extra-large room. About three times the size of a typical hotel suite. Very nice. The staff were first-rate. Always happy to help with anything I needed. Just a couple of minor issues, so other travellers are aware. (1) The WiFi was not great. I had great difficulty connecting, and couldn't use it in my room at all. (2) My room was adjoining. The adjoining door had a 1cm gap underneath, so my neighbours TV was just a bit too noisy whilst I was trying to chill out.

Just minutes walk from anywhere in downtown Apia, this is the most central and best bed available, and the service was pleasant and very helpful. Airconditioned, spacious and very good beds, bathroom and kitchen. Excellent restful place. However kitchen had no utensils, or coffee, etc. Only an electric jug was usable, so bring your own coffee, milk, sugar, crackers, etc, unless you want to walk just for a coffee. For a business man this would be the best, in my humble opinion.
